  1. Yay! I was on at the time! EDIT: Tahu looks terrible Pohatu's good except for those tr. yellow bones (I can hear the kids yelling "poohatu!" now) Gali is... freakish. Probably going to skip her. Kopaka is... I dunno, that monocle is too flat and sparse for me. LOSS is... surprisingly good. I'll wait for a review, I have a feeling this is going to be a repeat of Garmatron and Desctructoid. Lewa has waaay too much yellow. That just destroys the colorscheme. LEGO still has lime green shells, don't they? What about the Protectors? Anyway, I'm going to skip all/most of these, unless for parts. Because most of these sets look downright terrible to me, but I can understand why others would like them. Well, back to NINJAGO!
  2. Did anyone manage to save the artwork? I'd like to take a glimpse at it. Judging from the name (I didn't see the article) it's a water-based villain, and thus far we haven't gotten anything in NINJAGO that could indicate a water-themed plotline any time in the near future. It's a possibility, especially after The Last Voyage, and the Electrocobrai, but it's too far from what we have now, and I doubt we'd get leaks (no pun intended) an entire year early, unless we're getting a double-plot year (I hope not)
  3. Perhaps we'll see Turaga in the second wave next year, as Protector-eque sets? I know we generally don't get a large amount of small sets (not in System, anyway) but is it a possibility?
  4. Just2good you are... nah, I'll save the bad puns for sets.
  5. *cue embarrassing music*
  6. DOn't forget those blades had holes in them... MLG 5urf pr0 mu¢h?
  7. Pohatu needs to be either grey or brown and tan. Really, silver and brown doesn't work. It worked on Pohatu Nuva, but that's because it was armor. I'm personally fine with grey, it would fit the whole "stone" thing Pohatu is meant to have. I know that many would be against that kind of change though, and I can't blame them. I never understood though why earth was represented by black and stone by brown. It makes sense in NINJAGO, there is no stone element (or grey/silver ninja, except in mostly non-canon Greg's lore and the 2015 sets, but the sets are going to have changed), but it's just something I've been curious about.
  8. So basically the villains are now the White Witch from Narnia and whatever the villain was in the Nutcracker?
  9. Well, with any luck we'll get the original green Lewa Mata used on the new Lewa as well! In all seriousness, though, glad to see the brains are coming back.
  10. I know, I was joking.
  11. Ooh, so a BZP reporter just hinted that BZP has the Bonkles?
  12. Good point about Stars, but that's the problem many had with them. They were just small versions of the (presumably) best selling sets and most popular characters, but shrunk down into the Av-Matoran build. Anyway, as I said before, I don't think anyone is claiming it's going to be "LEGO Technic BIONICLE", it'd be too long and too off-putting to new buyers.
  13. No one here is claiming it's going to be caled "LEGO Technic BIONICLE", we're not talking about, well, anything you've just said... we're talking about the internal usage of "technic" assigned to BIONICLE. Even with the sudden surge of more Technic-based builds as of late, constraction mostly shifted away from Technic builds since CCBS was first introduced in 2011. Yes, the newer sets have come back to usage of Technic, but why not brand the theme internally with something else? CCBS? etc? We're all probably looking too far into it, (even though no one has suggested anything radical yet) and personally I'm not worried about whatever they do with Technic and CCBS as long as it doesn't turn the sets into atrocities like Stars (which they won't be)
  14. No it's not! It's the creepy laptop hand guy from Breakout! It all makes sense now, the Jumper at the end of IFB was cloned and genetically altered into Skull Spiders, and now Hero Factory must defend themselves from the evil BIONICLE takeover! Anyway, there seems to be two of these "keyholes", one at the top, one at the bottom.
  15. Oh pull-eaze. It's obviously going to be the Mata Nui Offline Game or that the new theme is set in Matahero City, where the Matanui Assembly Tower creates evil Bonkles for villains to use against Hero Factory. Don't you see it yet? This is the Villain Factory wave!
  16. Makes a lot of sense, plot-wise
  17. So, are the Chima Speedorz sets secured with anything on the interior? Like a blister package with buttons for easy opening, etc? Because I don't think I'd like to see Constraction sets doing this if not. Yeah, they're stable... but still.
  18. Ha, I just noticed the new piston plating looks just like the original torso from 2001-2003, only upside down (most of the time) Someone's probably noticed that already, though.
  19. My first and last? Tahu Nuva. Due to arrive in mint condition in 1-2 weeks
  20. The Protector's mask most certainly feature no such function, and none of the other sets can be seen clearly enough to tell apart from Tahu. Even then, I doubt Tahu features anything like it.
  21. Then think critically of your own. CCBS has not finished changing, and the new mask system will change over the years and bring improvements. Likely case scenario, this is just going to be another "fad" like the Inika heads, or the Brain Attack mannequin-heads. I'm not going to give it an expiry date though, if it's successful enough it's going to stay around for a while. This new system does have a lot of potential, though. Given how large the head is they probably will fit inside 2M holes. Do you know what this means? It means we can use it with a hand. A hand (including the 2009/10 hands, and the prior... oven mitts) . As long as there is enough friction, this will have plenty of versatility for MOCing purposes. Yes, it's not going to be like a helmet (which IMO had far more versatility, you could just pop them on a connector), or the old masks. But it's a new variation, and one that I'm looking forward to personally. This is all assuming it's not going to slip over another mask. If that's the case, any argument against it (EDIT: for it as well) is going to be made null and void unless you really wanted to use it for the normal mask of a character. And even then, it'll probably change like the Kanohi Ignika in 2016 if it's going to ever be featured in sets again.
  22. So what? That's like the people whining and whinging about CCBS back in 2011. Give it time. It's part of the evolution of CCBS and the head system. If you don't like it, either don't buy it or swap the heads for older ones. Simple.
  23. All 6 have gear functions. Lewa's arms are behind his normal arms and have two pinions connected to each arm, Onua has two yellow Four Knob gears, Pohatu has his own Four Knob sticking out (and a Technic backpack, and I think we should try to reverse-engineer it because it's simpler and similar to the MOC-up ( ) Leewan did.), Tahu's back is overly bulky to not do anything, Gali's arms are lower than her shoulder joints (which I must add are completely unused), and Kopaka has a big black blob at the back of him. There's also the piece counts, etc.
  24. Yeah, plot is a big factor in set decision for me as well. If the new story is terrible, I'll just be going back to NINJAGO for a while But I'll at least try to pick up Tahu/Lewa and a few Protectors.
