Oh boy. Here comes the 20 page argument again. What's wrong with being scared of heights? It's perfectly normal for a person to be scared of heights. And fear of the dark has never been being afraid of the dark itself, it's what's in the dark that scares people. Alien: Isolation is horrifyingly scary when you're in a dark room with the Alien stalking you, use any kind of light source and you're dead. You can't see a thing, you never know if it's going to get you because you can't see a thing. I do not understand why people think having fears is baby-ish. There's ways to incorporate fear into a story that makes sense, and isn't corny *COUGH* Alan Wake *COUGH*. Also, these being "baby" fears (as some would put it) is part of the development of a human being. You get over a fear by facing it head on, rather than cowering. Your fear confronting you is a good thing, and over time characters can grow to be less scared, allowing kids to both relate to the heroes and grow with the heroes.

What if we get the smaller protectors as HF/Bio Minifigures? *evil laugh* Although it actually would make sense, considering the Protector aesthetic could be easily transferred into a clone-stye McDonalds promo.

Gee, you make it sound like CGI animations that have pretty much well never had a big story focus would actually be mentioned. In all honesty, why would they mention them? What purpose would they serve at Comic Con? The Ghost animations were used almost exclusively as promotionals, or as brief story run-downs (eg, Mahri movie). The first few years saw them as nothing more than character advertisements, with the story being told though - you guessed it - comics and cartoony looking character in MNOG and the MNOG-style Bohrok series. Guess what else we didn't see at NYCC? We didn't see the books, they haven't even selected authors yet! There's a fair while between now and release, and there's a full year after that to make animations. Will they most certainly be made? No. Is there a chance? Yes.

We could still get them, they just won't have a big focus >implying they ever had a big focus in the later years

Not in Germany http://www.telegraph...ittee-says.html Sigh... now I'm stuck in that awkward position where people want all sorts of relationships happening and I'm against them for reasons that if I explained would get blasted into the next century.

Well, if Makuta wanted to destroy everything he certainly made the right move awakening the Bohrok.

Well, that means Pods 1, 4 and 7 are accounted for then. Just had a thought. What if we're going to get Makuta and Ekimu as just Protector sets in the Summer wave? It would most certainly make sense, the Hammers seem to be made up of the Stud Shooters.

Indeed it was, but that's not what I would call a three year plot arc. Those were individual arcs, they didn't center around the same thing every year. First year was the Golden Masks and freeing the Rahi, second year was fighting off the Bohrok and getting upgraded to Toa Nuva. '03 was about the Rahkshi and revealing Metru Nui. While arguably you could call it the "Mata Nui Arc" it wasn't focused on one sole thing. Metru Nui... sorta was, but not entirely. EDIT: WHOA, I just realized you own Pod 1! Congrats!

It gets stupid when you find out that they were planning a "Mask of Life + Revive" 3-year arc and another "Awaken Mata Nui" 3-year arc. When a story is paced properly, I'm all for it. We've only just left Stage 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the problem is when it has a severe lack of pacing. They get the Mask of Life! Then it turns into a rocket and dumps itself in the bottom of the ocean. That's bad pacing. It turned the entire first year of the arc into a filler year. That's all it became. Do I even need to mention the plot holes with it being able to turn things into snakes, make a body for itself (TWICE), revamp an entire planet and do all sorts of crazy stuff? Imagine if NINJAGO spaced out the quest for the Golden Weapons over three years. Could it be done right? Yes. Would it? Probably not. I'm not saying they should have condensed the Mahri+Phantoka/Mistika years in with Inika, just provided more variety than that. There was a severe lack of planning for how the story would go along after the "awaken" plot arc, anyway.

Like the three year plot-arcs? Let's hope they don't do that again. "Oh yay! We defeated the Piraka and got the mask-*FWWWOOOOOOOOOOOSH*" "Oh yay! We defeated the Barraki and- Matoro? MATOROOOOOO!" "Oh yay! We defeated the Makuta and- NOT AGAIN!" "Oh yay! We defeated the Makuta *AGAIN* and now Mata Nui is conveniently trapped inside the mask. Too bad there's no sand around here... *COUGH*"

For those who don't know, LEGO has a competition on their Twitter https://twitter.com/...329515973603328 No way of knowing when it's ended. It's the jackpot this time, at least the 6 Masters. EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention this. I stated a while back that the Piston plates were modeled after the original Mata torsos (wasn't the only one that noticed) and after looking over the protectors I realized they had been placed specifically on the Protector bodies to look it

It's not the Mask of Control, lol. We've seen the Mask of Control, it's nothing like it. HOWEVER; the aura around the golden Skull mask has led a few to believe the MoCr can shape shift, at this point though no one knows for sure.

For the record, TF2's Sniper isn't Australian. He actually comes from the Lost City of New Zealand. Really, I'm not kidding. EDIT: Highly off-topic, but could someone make a Minecraft texture pack based on the animations? I think it would look really cool

Well, technically speaking, all Bohrok were clones of each other. The difference is that Bohrok-Kal were a clone WAVE of sets that offered no variation other than being silver. Personally, I don't mind clones as long as they're done with taste. Toa Mata Nui looked great as a set, the additions to the Inika legs helped the style and the general style looked pretty good. But that's just my opinion, I don't own any of the '09 sets.

Actually, the legs are supposed to fold up underneath Tahu's head, rather than stick out. I know TTV wasn't able to do this, but the back of Tahu's box indicates that they fold the full way behind the head piece. You're probably better off taking the chest piece and head, then fit the Skull Spider on the head piece and put it back on before putting the chest piece on too.

I assume they were going for a kind of "shirt cuff" look. Sort of like this: (yes, the Demopan was necessary) However, it could just be shoulder plating. Anyway, I'm actually planning on getting most if not all of these now. Seeing the animation style they're using really helped me understand the artstyle they were going for, and that improves the entire range a lot for me. Also the plot gimmicks are cool Unless retail situations improve regarding Constraction around here (at my local Target all we have is Crystal Beast, the weird red beast and a few shelfwarming Ogrums. Although other stores usually have most sets, they're not in the most convenient locations so I rarely go to them), I'll be buying most of these through LEGO's shop.

So someone on Reddit raise an interesting point about the Mask of Control, Skull Spiders, etc. What did Makuta do in the first year? He controlled the Rahi. What did the Bohrok use? Mind-controlling Kraata. So... I'm fairly certain now that there's at least going to be some kind of mind control going on. And given Lewa's love for risk-taking... *cue embarassing music* Edit: Also, every time I've seen the Dual Functions used in the concepts the Toa were wearing the golden Masks, especially on Tahu's box art. Maybe this is adrenaline mode?

Don't hold your breath on the books. All of the recent "big" themes' books haven't pertained to the main storyline, NINJAGO is a big offender of this (Especially in the second year) and Chima's are optional for all I know. Traditionally comics have carried the story for the most part, but MNOG was huge in the first year of BIONICLE so I'm really hoping we get something like it (given the trend of recent LEGO web games... and the "every kid has a phone" mentality... and the lack of any confirmation... it's very unlikely)

I can't really see them telling the bulk of the story through 1-minute animations, or books for that matter. It's really odd that they'd do so much to bring back the feel of MNOG but then simply use it on mini-movies and promo artwork alone. While the books can tell a good amount of story, taking a look at LEGO's most recent "big" themes where the main story was neither told through the books or canon (at least not in NINJAGO for the most part, can't talk for Chima) it's very odd if this is the entirety of the media for the new BIONICLE is compromised of books that are mostly unplanned (and unwritten) and short films. EDIT: We also need a cool song again. Preferably not as theme-centric as Chima's or NINJAGO's, although I do have a bone to pick with even BIONICLE's best songs.
