It seems that "Jadeklinge" are the Jade Blades. Also, "evil Chen". NOW the plot is starting to make sense. The theme description for this year translated so horribly I'm not going to post it. Also, something called a 3D set animation. I don't if the app for it is out yet, though. The new ninja HQ has a fold-out feature, it looks incredible. Finally, there's also a NINJAGO magazine coming out. Source: http://catalogs.lego.../de_de/1HY2015/ EDIT 2: I just noticed... more NINJAGO soundtrack CDs are coming out.

They just went poof. It was a retcon, presumably now they "vanished" after the Overlord was defeated.- 4,591 replies

SPOILER TAGS PLEASE. (sorry for caps). edit: Forget what I just said. I read the spoilers. I have no clue what's going on now. (this definitely has something to do with mini-Pythor, but what about the cultists?)- 4,591 replies

LEGO rarely officially announces the discontinuation of a line. But however, the whole "Final Battle" plot line is huge evidence for this, and comments from Jay Vincent about the track "Storming The Tower" confirm that episode 26 was to be the final episode. The line was being cancelled, and so was the show. Consumer demand saved it. Chima could have a similar event, but I don't think it has developed a following like NINJAGO did, even with Fire VS Ice, to do it. Personally, I would like it if they did discontinue Chima, not because I dislike it (which I do) but because they're pushing for a NINJAGO come-back and I'd like to see something other than "minor" lines like Ultra Agents being introduced. The "big" lines are basically City, Star Wars, Chima, etc.

Yeah, it's just some hinting at what the new line is about. That symbol is prevalent in artwork, etc for 2015.- 4,591 replies

Not surprised. This is exactly how NINJAGO was originally to go out. If there's demand for Chima, it'll come back.
-
Perhaps. But this is a bit like last year with Destructoid, except last year we actually had a listing for it. The set could have been cancelled, as someone else said early on in the thread.

Borg Tower, as a set, wouldn't have lived up to many expectations for a D2C/high price set. While LEGO has made successful skyscraper-esque sets in the past, Borg Tower has a very unique shape that unlike Isengard can't be shortened and still retain the overall shape (without it being incredibly skinny, anyway). The paddle boat is probably only going to be seen maybe twice, so I really doubt it's going to be featured in sets. EDIT: Well, that didn't take long. The Tournament sets (excluding Dojo) can be found on eBay now. They're all ridiculously overpriced, of course. Oh, and it turns out Lloyd DX isn't just a reprint of Cole DX with minor changes. It's entirely different other than the shared head shape (which is unavoidable). And the back of the Tournament outfits look terrible, IMO. It uses inflated versions of the original ninja emblems minus a lot of detail. Really bland :(

I know I'm very late here, but am I the only one that doesn't like the new Batman cowl? It looks far too short and stubby to me, and I hope they alternate it with the original.

Probably. It would make sense, that they get outfits for the tournament given to them by Chen. Maybe after each ninja has "won" their respective Jade Blade? It explains the lack of a tournament Skylor or Hanlan. Probably wrong, though. Personally, I want an explanation for the new island than anything else. (probably a very simple one, like how no one found the Dark Island beforehand.) Also, look to the left. Chen's staff (or what I think is the Staff of Elements, but it's a baseless guess) is glowing. Probably has something to do with the cultists turning into snakes. I'm wondering if they've also just dropped the whole "Balance" thing now. Probably have.- 4,591 replies

Yeah, that was noticed. Probably has no significance, but I don't think anyone has any clue. It could just be preliminary footage, after all.- 4,591 replies

There ya go. But in all seriousness, does anyone recommend I buy the Fire VS Ice DVDs? If it's really that good, I might pick up all the Chima DVDs anyway.

Ninjaball Run was a great filler episode. It's one of the reasons why I love NINJAGO's story, it's laid back yet serious at the exact same time. Case in point: Kozu being fired out of a cannon in the middle of one of the show's darkest episodes. A roller skating derby isn't out of the question at all, it's just kind of odd even for NINJAGO. But seriously though, I'm sure they'll do a great job (although I'm doubting the tournament is "to the death" now) EDIT: Perhaps Chen isn't even a villain at the start, but through the course of events the ninja in some way annoy him and he allies with Pythor?- 4,591 replies

They just seem too insane. A roller skating competition? Maybe the tournament isn't as deadly as it was made out to be. And by the way, I'm terrible at using CN's schedule. That's why I rarely ever use it.- 4,591 replies

That's not what I meant. Unless this problem isn't in America, there's a very noticeable difference in print quality between the torso and legs on all of my 2014 minifigures. The printing on the lower legs is usually blurred and somewhat smudged, missing a bit of color here and there. The problem started back in 2013, and it's a downgrade in quality I'm really annoyed with. All of my Nindroids have the same problem, and luckily the Overlord minifigure doesn't.

I kinda doubt those are actually real. But then again, we did get Ninjaball Run. Also, that's probably concept art for LEGO Universe. The Fire Temple was a planned location, and that artstyle is incredibly similar to the LU concept style.- 4,591 replies

Yeah, it's been speculated these two can transform into snakes/humans (depending on their original species). Their "human" names are Chope and Kapau, and their Anacondrai names are Chop'rai and Kapau'rai (if I recall correctly, anyway).

Anyway, I'm not sure if Hanlan is allied with Chen anymore. To me it seems far more likely that when the "Tournament of the Elements" was announced, the ninja, Skylor, Hanlan, that other guy from the Dojo set, plus anyone else invited, came to the island. Chen attracted the ninja to the island with clues that Zane was still alive, with Pythor directly organizing the entire thing with Chen to exact revenge on the ninja and lure them into a trap. The Jade Blades might not even have any ultimate importance to the plot other than a trophy. There's obviously some holes, and I'm still working out some kinks (and the Hageman brothers are going to include some kind of new addition to the plot no one could predict, like the Electrocobrai). What do you guys think?- 4,591 replies

Tournament Figs review. LEGO really needs to fix their printing on the legs. It's getting annoying how low-quality it is now.
-
I just noticed the ninja "bandolier" (I know it isn't that, but that's the best description I can give) has the symbols of Lloyd, Jay, Cole and Kai on them. EDIT: Lightning Mech review! Can't really say I like it too much, mainly because of the lack of posability.
-
Jungle Trap... is pretty uninteresting. Anyway, I don't think the Jade Blades are going to have a big focus for the rest of the year, we've only seen them used in "Tournament" sets. Lava Falls is pretty nice, I just wish the bridge was longer.

Yeah, I know Cole's fave color is orange (heck, I'm the one who brought that up in the first place regarding Skylor). But yeah, MB shipping doesn't really matter. We'll find out soon enough. Where did you find that picture? That's certainly LEGO, but if that's Nya then what the heck is she wearing? Is she "in the know" about Zane not revealing himself?- 4,591 replies

I saw some shipping happening over Skylor on the MB's, and I realized that Jay falling in love with Skylor (particularly with the hinting that Cole x Skylor is a thing) would be a brilliant twist in the plot. Although if they were to pull the "Overlord influenced Perfect Match" thing, or if Cole liked Skylor more than Nya, it would create some pretty massive rifts among them. So while it would be a great twist to have, it'd have huge repercussions.- 4,591 replies
