Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

I was actually implying it's a plot hole, but since then I've realized what Garmadon said about Nya covers it. What IS a plot hole, is the Ninjas losing their powers after they lost the Golden Weapons. Makes no sense whatsoever, but this is a better plot twist than the "we were good guyssssss all along" plot twist from Rebooted, so I'm fine with it. EDIT: Alright, I've done some thinking. Anyway, probably going to be wrong in more ways than one. The storywriters for NINJAGO are going to bring out something no one predicted (like the Electrocobrai, or the Elemental Masters) but it's always nice to speculate. I was wrong about Skylor X Cole, that's for sure. It may have actually been part of the plot point at one time (like Nya and Jay having a baby, and pirates being the main focus for a while) but cut because it was too far out. Now that I think about it, it actually wouldn't be a good idea to make the "perfect match" guy be caught in a relationship with the first girl wearing orange he sees. Also, "Ninjago Theories" is going crazy with the idea that Griffin is Dr. Julien. It's not going to happen. Like seriously.- 4,591 replies

I had noticed them, but they got clouded out with speculation on the Vahi.

Hang on a second... Lloyd is the "chosen one" because he's basically a direct descendant of the First Spinjitzu Master. Yet...- 4,591 replies

Short answer: Nope. Long(er) Answer: We're probably never going to hear of it again unless it's a D2C.

Not really a spoiler, but look away if you don't want to know: Kruncha and Nuckal are back ...and their voices have swapped. *sigh* All in all, a bit fast-paced, but it's probably NINJAGO's best "introduction" episode.- 4,591 replies

Darn, hope that doesn't apply over here. It *would* allow me to get some UA sets, though...

Probably not. This is just gonna be a one-off event for even Ultra Agents, the story team probably thought it was a cool idea and LEGO would be fine with it because it's advertising another line while simultaneously promoting NINJAGO. Everyone wins in this kind of situation* *except the people that don't like UA, don't like crossovers or want a Galidor crossover- 4,591 replies

Maybe Ultra Agents references are going to become the new Vahi?- 4,591 replies

That's actually pretty cheap. Unfortunately, knowing LEGO they'll inflate Ninja DB X to $150 in Australia.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not happening. Ever. Period. At best (and even then this is very unlikely) we'll see maybe a vehicle or another villain from UA. Invizable and Toxikita probably won't even have speaking roles- 4,591 replies

No, Chen is fully aware of the Anacondrai. The snake headress, the Cultists (who seem to be his henchmen), the Staff of Element's snake motif, the snake symbols everywhere, and the conveniently placed purple snake inside his base. Pythor being in Borg Tower would have something to do with Zane being captured.- 4,591 replies

That makes 3 Vahi's.

I've never seen anyone talk like that, either. Well, unless I/someone else is deliberately making fun of the stereotype.

Good to see. Only Gali's video would work for me out of the Character videos. EDIT: Ewww, fake Australian accent.

Yeah, pretty much well. But there's nothing to suggest Antimatter doesn't exist at all within the NINJAGO world, heck, if this is a full UA crossover it might be able to even tie up loose ends on Dark Matter, which as we all know turns stuff evil. But yeah, probably just a cameo unfortunately.- 4,591 replies

I don't recall ever saying in the past month or so this was going to be a continuation inside of a reboot. I was stating the facts, not implying a connection. But, I'll play devil's advocate just this once. First of all, wiped memories, separate experiences, different universe. With a wiped memory the Toa's experiences could lead them to have an alternate personality to their original ones. Second of all, in an episode of Transformers the characters crossed over into a "negative" dimension, which altered everyone involved until they returned to their original world. The same could apply for Lewa with air and jungle. However, I think the whole time travel referencing is getting far too ridiculous now to avoid and say it's not the least bit suspicious, we've had the Vahi referenced in two episodes already for no apparent reason, the Toa were summoned by the Protectors in the Temple of Time, especially after a huge rumor about the Vahi directly from New York Comic Con coupled with a comparison to, of all reboots, the Star Trek reboot which features a main character from the old universe. At this point, it's too early to tell. Either LEGO's trying to troll a volatile fanbase, or they're just throwing out random easter eggs.

Hah, glad to see you here Vector! Anyway, we're probably going to see Wu at some point in 2015. He's not dead, that's for sure.
-
An easter egg would be like putting in a Hau somewhere, or maybe the Bohrok symbol. Not retreading the same easter egg multiple times. So what do we have here? We've seen the Vahi, the Vahi and... the Temple of Time, which was used to bring the Toa to Okoto after a massive rumor from NYCC about the Vahi and the Gen2 being like the Star Trek reboot, which brought an old character through time travel into a new universe with new versions of the original characters.

I'm... perfectly fine with a UA crossover. If it's entirely canon, it means there's more than just Ninjago city (FINALLY), and we've got some more details on the East coast of Ninjago other than the Spirit Coves. There's not really anything in NINJAGO's canon (can't speak for UA, haven't played the Tablet game) that would object to this kind of thing. Just a few weeks ago I was contemplating how NINJAGO's "future technology" was inferior in style, etc to UA's so I'm really all for this kind of crossover if it's handled well. Back to the trailer, Sea of Protodermis! And I saw the snake coming a mile away. "Enter The Serpent"'s purple macaroni hinted at it too much.- 4,591 replies

First of all, plot discussion goes elsewhere (sorry to back-seat administrate). Sensei Wu isn't dead, and if he is, it's going to be in Shadow of Ronin. I'm desperately hoping we get that version of Zane, the set face isn't quite as awesome. (I want human Zane back too... guess that's not happening though) But IMO, this is far more exciting than what BIONICLE has right now. Although BIONICLE is easier to speculate on at the moment, darnit.

Ha ha, I was right about the Temple of Time having something to do with the Toa's arrival! Tahu's arrival is hilarious, and I loved the scene where the Protector of Fire revealed his stud launcher. Overall, these are pretty good. Although the third minisode is more of an advertisement with some plot progression (more than we got with IFB in less than a tenth of the time).
