The "speedster guy" (I'm assuming you mean the guy that looks like Julien)'s name is Griffin Turner. That snake was hardly "giant". Well, not giant in comparison to the whopper that was the Great Devourer. It's probably not going to make any in-set appearances, unless the purple macaroni in Enter The Serpent. I'm really not liking the sound of these "flyer" sets. At all. Maybe I'm just getting on edge about quality because of "Enter The NINJAGO" blaring out warning signals about where LEGO wants to take this line. Oh well, when we get pics of the sets we'll see.

Oh, right. Forgot about that little part regarding Nya. Well, I did say I hadn't really worked on those very much. Can you get a source on that video, though?- 4,591 replies

Chima had around 12 regular sets in the first half of this year alone, I think it's becoming pretty normal.

YES! I KNEW they were hinting at a Destiny's Bounty comeback! ...but... final flight? And the return of the Spinners (or at least, something like that. Let's hope it's not some weird blend of Speedors and spinners, the name "Flyer" makes me doubt they're spinners)! But... who the heck are Morro and Wrayth? Actually, no, I'll answer that myself: people from the tournament. Wrayth is almost certainly the guy with smoke powers. Whoever Morro is, he has his own dragon (Chen's island has something to do with all the dragons), and Wu is getting a dragon too. It seems that these are still set in the Anacondrai arc, but there's nothing conclusive. These set names are kinda weird though, other than the "flyer" names (man am I going to be annoyed if they're little flyer toys) there's nothing distinctive about most of them. Generic names like "Blaster Bike" or "Chain Cycle". Motor bikes, dragons, mechs and flyers and samurai T-rex (I'm going to laugh so much if that's what Ronin's set actually is).

I meant getting Makuta as in, eg, not Maxilos or the Great Spirit Robot. I don't see what's wrong with LEGO not making a "THIS IS *PURE* MAKUTA" set. This gives them time to expand CCBS further to make an overall better set.

Oh, don't be so daft. Clearly Ekimu and Grinder will be Herofigures in their own Mech suits, hence the title "Mask Maker VS Skull Grinder". Sarcasm about IFB aside, what's wrong with not getting Makuta in the first year?

Those descriptions have been available on the NINJAGO website since sometime around December 2013. Dangit, "Smoke Dude"'s powers are awesome. Out of all the elemental powers we've seen so far, his seems to be the most useful by far, he has the ability to materialize and dematerialize at will; stronger than invisibility, arguably better than speed, etc. There's obviously some downsides, he's probably got a really puffed up (no pun intended) sense of pride over his abilities. Buuut, that's only based on what I know, so the plot is probably going to bring something in (wind element, lol) to counter-act him. EDIT: Alright, it's super-random-theory-that-I-haven't-spent-much-time-on time! Just a warning, this is based on a single line spoken by Garmadon. (or in other words, probably false)- 4,591 replies

On a whole LEGO sets have been degrading in a way that's hard to describe. We're getting awesome new sets and pieces all the time, but part of the magic of that defined many lines is easily getting lost. It just feels like now they're doing stuff just for the sake of it, like Minecraft and its updates.

I just checked my local Target too. Nothing (Although I DID receive two very special masks in the mail today, so that's kind of a bonus ) You can really tell the new sets are available when LOSS goes for $50 on eBay...

So anyway, I was looking at the German catalog and, forgive me if this has been brought up, there's an Antimatter portal-esque thing associated with the app to the lower left of where the new UA sets are shown. By any chance would this have anything to do with the "app bricks"? I can only count 14 pieces on the portal, but there's a total of 15 "app bricks". What do you guys think? On an unrelated note, today I picked up the mobile HQ set. It's a real shame that most of the UA sets don't seem to be able to truly hold their own against the original Agents sets. Maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but when you compare the designs of the UA HQ and the Agents HQ, the original just seems better.

Sounds more like a Batman set, really.

Don't get your hopes up on a full-blown Ronin wave. All we've seen is a single minifigure from it and people already want lots of sets? We don't even know what the pot will be like.

So it was from IMDB then? I'll go through the earlier posts in this thread and check. If it really was, then I'm not going to argue that it was accurate at all. I've never liked IMDB anyway. EDIT: Yep, all garbage. I can't find where the alleged "leak" came from (and I don't feel like digging through the 2012 thread), but all of the stuff I've been referring to was from an apparent "Season 4". Including a purple ninja, etc... completely false. By the way, there's a total of about 17 competitors Tournament, including the ninja.- 4,591 replies

Ah, actually, any of the ninja could use the other's Golden Weapon. For instance, Kai used the scythe at one point, Wu used the scythe and the shurikens at one point, and Garmadon just alternated whenever he had the Golden Weapons. This is just going to be a giant plot hole that's never going to be resolved. You could just say that because they were the "chosen ones" they were different to the others... Anyway, I had an idea yesterday. How about, for the NINJAGO movie, LEGO bases the movie and the show off of the exact same sets? That way the TV show fans get what they want, people that want the movie can go see the movie, it's cheaper on a whole for LEGO, and it allows them to continue using the TV show simultaneously?- 4,591 replies

I WAS RIGHT! By any chance, does the new Mech you've mentioned have anything to do with Nya? I was really hoping they would make a new Samurai Mech...

Well... if I recall correctly in the "behind the scenes" (HA!) minimovie, didn't Jay mention something about him being the chosen one? Look, there was definitely a lot of garbage in the leak, but there's enough ties to what actually became the plot to not completely dismiss it. It's not exactly relevant anymore, anyway.- 4,591 replies

Well, there's a chance we may be seeing a Destiny's Bounty 2.0 later this year, but I really doubt we'll see a Shadow of Ronin subtheme. However, if we do, we're probably going to see a new monastery. I've got my own ideas on what we might be seeing later in the year (it's to do with a certain other thread), but yeah.

Ash is actually a far better name for him. But there's a number of differences, for one thing the wisps aren't as prominent on Ash and the lines inbetween aren't as long. They are very similar, though.
-
No, they're highly similar down to the basic shape, but they're both different. "Smoker" (as I'm going to call that guy, seeing as we know his element) is hopefully going to appear in Wave 2.

Aaand I said all this a few posts later. Might want to read all of the new posts before you reply to someone. Hardly made-up. There was a leak back in 2012 that listed not just the Stone Army, but the final battle, the pirates etc as well. It was before we even had a trailer for the episodes that had this stuff, and before we even got leaked set lists. We don't know the motives of everyone else in the Tournament yet. Some may be in it for personal gain, but no actual prize has even been "announced" in-plot.- 4,591 replies
