  1. Um... Well, this is relatively disappointing, I guess. The new Santa torso is nice, and I haven't actually gotten a Yoda yet (though I'm almost certainly going to if I get the frigate). I guess they're kind of rubbing in the fact that I don't have one. That said, I still will get it, if possible. There's a Clone Pilot, as well as other minifigs useful for building armies (like the terrifying army of Nute Gunrays!), so I may as well. I'm sure there are a few more minifigs in there anyway.
  2. Is that a mini Hogwarts? That's strange. It still looks too big for my budget though. Still, I might get it, as the figures are nice... I'm not sure how big the other sets are, but hopefully one of them is small and contains some nice figures. I'd like a Dementor or two.
  3. Wow... looks like a lot of stickers on the Nightspeeder. Overall, it's improved. Anakin's new torso is great, Ventress... not so much. I don't own the original, so I'd still like one. The Millennium Falcon looks expensive, as expected. The enclosed cockpit is nice though.
  4. I don't think anyone has mentioned the small TIE fighter. That's probably in the calendar. The figures are indeed random. The Clone pilot is rather welcome however, and the others are okay.
  5. I don't know if it was just me, but I thought it was obvious that there weren't large pieces there. It's just box art. The large vehicle is pretty cool. It can split and be changed into different configurations, judging from the video. I wish they were sold separately though, I like the front segment of the vehicle with the cannons on top. Edit: I think that the humans have different torsos now. The ADF logo seems less noticeable (from memory).
  6. How could I miss that? I still really, really like the gladiator. The lizard-suit guy probably comes a close second. At this rate, if they keep increasing the prices, I'll have to start cutting back, which is hard enough as it is because I only get about one of each...
  7. Ooh, nice. Luckily, there's a single chicken with the blacksmith set, so I don't miss out on the animal excitement. Well, looks about the same as what we've seen previously. The new weapons are great, however they look a bit too realistic.
  8. Gasp! A lumberjack! The ones that appeal to me are the guard, eskimo, boxer, gladiator, mobster, dwarf, detective, lumberjack, lizard suit guy and the graduate. Cleopatra might be good to combine with Pharaoh's Quest sets. The lumberjack would be better with that floppy hat (what's it called?), so I can finally reenact the lumberjack song.
  9. I think you mean minifig-scale. Well, I'm not so sure on these ones. I normally collect Games sets for pieces alone, and so the only appealing factor is the weaponry. I have not, however, seen that helmet in the Kingdoms sets (not in the cheap ones, anyway), so that is definitely something to pick up.
  10. Wow! At first, I thought the person was going to pull out the sword, but then the temple split in two! The dragon looks like part of the temple, which is nice. There may not be much of an interior, but still... wow. The skull truck has nice bouncing/crunching action, too. Very nice.
  11. My thoughts exactly! Finally, a minifig I can keep in uncustomised form. Is that a new torso? Would be nice to get him in flesh, but I digress... Wow, that cyborg is great. Unfortunately, I won't be getting him, but that commander is a very close second. I didn't expect tentacles, but that's definitely a nice addition. Edit: Success! It appears that the Doctor-like minifig is in the tripod set!
  12. Those evil people! How could they have missed that? The lightsaber colours are almost definitely new, as we now have finalised (pretty much) minifigures in that video. That's great, though I have no idea what I'm going to do with the current six or so lightsabers with the old neon green... My only complaint about Darth Maul right now is his eyes. They appear too round and small, and I'd prefer Clone Wars eyes like Savage Opress has.
  13. I didn't know that, but I much prefer this blue colour over red. Red is a bit generic I think. Is that part of Eeth Koth's head? Oh! I thought it was some kind of helmet or something. It doesn't look that bad if you think about it that way. Finally... how are we going to fix our current lightsabers with the neon green/yellow colour and light blue? Oh noes! Looks like there may be a degree of lightsaber colourism in my collection.
  14. My brain hurts! Light blue Clones! Gasp! For some reason, I've never seen Clones in that colour before, so it's fairly exciting. And black accessories, too! No picture of Cody, but he might also have black accessories. I'm going to have to buy every single set, by the looks of things. The figures in the Millennium Falcon are kind of old, but I haven't got a "proper" Han Solo or Luke, so I may as well get it if I can. Plus the fact that I don't actually own a Millennium Falcon. Briefly summing up... headpieces are better than expected, there seems to be new lightsaber colours, Geonosian is better, and re-release of old characters is nice. I'm officially going to push Ninjago aside until further notice. Time to submit my bankruptcy application. Edit: Oh yeah, and Savage Opress has an actual armour piece. Nice.
  15. Ahh, beat me to it. Zane's glider is definitely the highlight of these. Not only are there an abundance of nice gold weapons, there's also the elusive Zane figure which doesn't appear in cheap sets. If these are promotional, then they almost definitely won't appear here, which is a shame. I really need some more figures to round out my army.
  16. Oh, cool. So that's what it's made of. I hope they get the printing right.
  17. Wow. Now that I'm on my computer, I can analyse these in more detail. This looks great. I'm not exactly a Pirates fan, so most of these minifig parts are new to me. The variations of Jack are great, with some nice double-sided heads. I've got to get the version with the hat, so I may get the London chase set. My budget is going to take a huge hit this year...
  18. New pieces! Minifig variation! Etc, etc. These do look great, and definitely matched my expectations. It is disappointing that we won't have a different Jack figure in each set, but that was inevitable. I may pick up that chase set, because I can have another variation of Jack as well as a nice building.
  19. Very nice! The fatter appearance works well, and I like those "eyes" at the cockpit.
  20. I think it was just lighting or the placement of the lightsaber (it looked like the current blue, except darker because of something behind it, possibly), and I don't think it was the type from the Hero Factory sets. We can hope... While it doesn't seem too likely that they'll replace the colour after many years, the change from yellow to flesh minifigs must have also sounded highly improbable at the time.
  21. Yeah, I agree. There does seem to be an illusion of the Geonosian having a long neck, but the picture quality is responsible. Comparing images, however, it looks like the Geonosian head is taller and has more bulgy eyes. I'm a bit annoyed at the colour and the absence of wings, though. I think I heard somewhere that the lower-class ones didn't have wings, so that would make sense, but ideally it'd be nice to get wings, particularly as I don't own one of the old ones. Edit: is it just me, or is Ki Adi-Mundi's lightsaber a lot darker than the current blue? That's interesting, given the darker green seen in the Sith Infiltrator. Probably just because of preliminaries or lighting, but it makes you think whether the colours actually will change...
  22. Great! Nice that you didn't use any Bionicle or Technic parts either.
  23. Well, you have a point. What I meant was there's not really any incentive to buy multiples or trade others to complete a card collection. Still, it is surprising that the cards aren't randomised, given most trading cards are. I thought they were going to go for that approach, but no...
  24. Wait, really? Wow. Kind of no collectible aspect to it if the cards are the same. Personally, I don't use them for the game (I don't have any spinners yet, and those would only be from sets anyway).
  25. It might be a little late to release clocks now, but anyway... That's a nice feature. If they wanted to add more functionality, retractable wings and visor would be nice, but that's pushing it a bit, I think.
