  1. Maybe it's just me, as I (gasp!) don't own an Anakin yet, but the hairpiece does look much more flat. I don't want a different outfit for Ventress (though it looks like she lacks the skirt of the previous version, which is kind of good), but I would definitely welcome one for Anakin.
  2. I don't think this is the same piece, and it's probably just a placeholder instead of a new hair piece altogether, but if you look at Anakin in the box (not on the minifigures list) of the Dathomir speeder, he appears to have new hair that might also be suitable for Luke. Of course, Anakin probably won't have new hair, but if it is an actual piece, it could be possible. Image here.
  3. Wait, a fifth movie? Is it related to Egypt or something? 2012's a year away, so it might be too early to tell. Good ideas, though, but as others have said, the line already appears to be "finished". We have all the treasure, the main antagonist and the antagonist's base, so it feels as if an early end was intended for this line, or at least, this particular segment of it. A lighthouse... hmm. Did they even have any lighthouses or ways of signalling? Oh yeah, and a jungle part would be great. Atlantis-like crocodile warriors and angry colourful mask people.
  4. Ah, that's a very believable thought. Well, personally I don't like the spinners since the parts are Chinese. Again, not only because of quality, but mainly because they're expensive and that alternatives are available. I could well imagine a revised spinner system where you can build a spinner with customised balance, weapons on the side or something. I just had a nice thought. The new sword mould is well detailed, depicting a dragon's head breathing fire. It would be really nice if there was a different sword for each of the DX figures, depicting their respective dragon design in different colours. Never will happen, but it would be great. Also, since we've seen DX figures and a possible new Sensei outfit, hopefully we'll get a more detailed Garmadon. I'm now planning to get every set (I'm crazy. ) so it would be great to see a revised Garmadon with the temple.
  5. Aren't the next wave of Kingdoms sets coming out for summer, not winter? That's probably what he meant. I guess we could see some small structures, but I agree, there aren't many more things they can add. Seeing how this line seems to be a one-wave thing, it might increase the chances of there being different locations with the same characters.
  6. Oh. In that case, it is probably a very rare occurrence. Maybe the uploader decided to draw attention to it.
  7. Ouch, hopefully that's from one of the spinner sets. I don't want any major misprints in my army.
  8. Hmm, I guess so. His body is fairly long (I think?), so that's probably why it looks strange to me. I think all Clones would look better with black armour. I know it's less accurate, though. An orange visor would be nice, but I'd be happy with black. Unfortunately, we get neither.
  9. Hmm, he does. Interesting observation, thought I would have preferred Watto with normal legs. Oh, and you're wrong, apparently Rex comes with grey Clone gear, according to a review. Personally, I don't like grey armour. Even if they're not going to use black armour, couldn't the blasters at least be black? It's something that's disturbed me for a while, so I'm thinking of de-ranking a Clone to fix that.
  10. Ooh. The rumours are true, then. Brickmaster books are way too expensive here, though. It's $40 for a small assortment of pieces and the book itself, which probably takes up most of the value. I think I've figured out something. The sets seem to have the new square-hilt katanas, while the others (magnets, spinner packs etc.) have the old octagonal style. Since the spinner packs contain Chinese plastic, maybe it's because the moulds haven't been updated. I won't be getting them anyway, as they're around $15 here (for one minifig!) and I'd rather spend that kind of money on actual sets to get the ninjas.
  11. I'm pretty sure the gun is actually a new mould. The barrels of the gun look a bit too long to be binoculars, I think. Yeah, I think there is a slight Halo inspiration for the vehicles. The jet-copter vehicle seems most similar. Looking at better pictures, I didn't notice that the saucer is actually connected to the tripod. It looks a lot better this way, and more like the tripods from War of the Worlds. The abduction set says that it contains both an abduction feature and a light effect. In that case, maybe the bottom of the saucer opens up to swallow the civilian or something.
  12. Too bad about the orangey-white printing on the helmet of the bomb squad troopers. Normally it wouldn't have mattered, but these are Clones. Didn't notice the visor shortening either. Interesting modification, but I don't really mind. I do mind the strange filled-in heads, though. Hmm...
  13. Hmm. I agree with you that the cannon looks too much like a face, which is probably my only problem. I might modify it to put the barrel (the whole thing, not the piece ) under the red pieces so it would look like a larger dwarf spider droid. Interesting hydraulics pieces, I imagine they'll replace other similar parts that are probably oversized for use in system sets.
  14. That was quick. Now, let's see... The extra blasters are nice, though I'm not sure if they will be included in all boxes. Maybe it's the lighting, but the tactical droid looks much darker. I'm okay with that, I guess. I'm glad that they added more detail, printed or not. The earlier versions looked too plain, but the stickers improve that.
  15. I guess this line is their retaliation, then. So, there's a new double-blaster. I can't see myself using them, though it's nice to have more weapons. It's also a little strange that some sets have sound functions, etc. I don't think I've ever gotten a sound or light brick, so I have no idea if the batteries are replaceable...
  16. Wow, great! It looks like an official set as it looks accurate. If this appeared in the Clone Wars (tv series) then I won't be surprised if this is actually released. Personally, I'm only familiar with it from The Force Unleashed, but it looks pretty good to me.
  17. Hmm. I don't like the back printing, but anyway... The dragon has looked strange from when I first saw it. It's not the same type of dragon that most of us are used to, so it appears small or unfinished. The set has become better though, particularly considering the Chinese minifigs in the spinners.
  18. Hmm, I should have gotten the Battle of Endor set while I had the chance. I thought they were going to be cheap and include already existing minifigures, but unfortunately (for me) not. If the bunker was released by itself, I would have bought it. Too late now, I guess. Some minifigures should be added, at least. The Hoth set with the turret and cover came with five minifigs (Han, two Snowtroopers and two Rebels), but there are only three present in the Ewok set. It doesn't really seem right to me. Another Ewok and a Rebel or Scout trooper would help elevate the set. I hope Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon have their hair included in their sets, particularly Qui-Gon. Maybe we'll see new hairpieces for both. Obi-Wan could do with a braid on his hairpiece instead of the generic hair we normally get. Also, the Clone Wars sets probably need some more Clones included, because after I get the Clone battle pack I'm going to need many more standard Clones.
  19. Is it actually a function or just part of the box art? I guess a magnetic function might work, but personally I don't think it's actually a feature of the set. It seems that at least two of the sets come only with civilians instead of the ADF troopers. That's interesting, maybe we'll see similar minifig treatment in other themes. I don't think there are nearly enough civilians in general. Exactly. Wait, are we? I just don't think the colour is good as it doesn't match up with the dark blue their ships have as their colour scheme. If their vehicles were that colour, it might be more acceptable. I prefer the dark blue though, and the minifigs would probably look better if they were the same shade of blue.
  20. Thanks for that link, though I already have the first ones saved. I can't decide if I want the frigate or not. It looks nice, but it also looks rather expensive. I don't have any of the included Jedi either. The Sith Infiltrator looks much bigger (at least to me), but its lineup of figures pretty much guarantees a spot in my collection, plus its easy compatibility with the minifigs from the Podracers.
  21. Ah, nice review. Sensei Wu has back printing, nice. Zane doesn't have back printing, even better. The reason why the ninjas not having back printing is good personally is because in promotional teasers they've been seen with their names written on their backs, which is obviously not good if you want to make an army. Nice window pieces, great to know they're not stickers.
  22. Amazing! They're all must-haves. The Geonosian starfighter comes with Ki Adi-Mundi and Cody! The Dathomir speeder is good since Ventress and some other character is in it. The Ewok set is slightly disappointing because there's only one Scout trooper. Oh well. The Sith Infiltrator looks a lot bigger now. Slave 1 size, I think. I still can't pass any of them up, though. I wonder if we'll see Fox in another set? We've had Rex and now Cody in cheaper sets, great as I missed both of them. Hopefully Fox will be next to return, or some other Clones. By the way, I just refreshed an image and it disappeared. This particular gallery is gone; too bad if you've missed out.
  23. Yay! I knew it, there are different types. Great news. I like the alien with the elongated head and bulging eyes as well as the one in the mothership. The alien in the defender set looks a bit different. I think we may have six different types of aliens, including the facehugger-like one. This is perhaps the best sci-fi theme since I've started collecting on a major scale. Edit: I just refreshed a page and it disappeared. The gallery seems to have been deleted, so it's too bad if you've missed out. Luckily, I was already on the image before I realised this, so they're saved now.
  24. According to Tin7's reviews, the spinner packs have Chinese plastic minifigures while the sets don't. My plans are completely ruined, because I don't think I'd be quite content with having a mix of the two, especially when the better version is available. I don't mind Chinese plastic too much, though when given an alternative I'll take it. Of course, what this means is I'm going to buy as many sets as possible to get an army. Now I'm definitely crazy. Edit: the gallery has gone, too bad if you missed it. I made it in time, though. The monster truck indeed contains Garmadon (yay!). The fire temple is very appealing now that there are three ninjas in it, good because of the spinner issue. I can't see if the black version of Sensei Wu is still there, but I assume so.
  25. Nice review. Yay, square hilt for katana. I must say, though, that because the spinner packs are Chinese (according to your earlier reviews), that's basically ruined my entire plan of building ninja armies. Thanks for that, though, because I would choose the better variety over the Chinese plastic.
