  1. Can you copyright your work and hire a good legal team?
  2. I have 8228 crawler crane on display for 6 or so years now. No cracking on the bushings that I could see. I recently built a second hand 8854 power crane. The old bushings from that 1989 studded Technic era seem to be a stiffer plastic with less give. You can feel the difference in the bushings and axles. Old black pins are also much stiffer and harder to remove if you make a mistake during the build.
  3. Impressive. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
  4. There is also an option for "C" adapters for the AA rechargeable batteries. The AA battery slides in and fits in battery box meant for C size. It doesn't involve modifying the 4.5V battery boxes. Eneloop sells a kit.
  5. I think it could be related to the BrickShelf site being down. Those pics might be hosted there.
  6. Neat idea. Kinda like the SPMT minus 2 wheels per line.
  7. Fun video. You seem to have some problem with lights?
  8. Welcome aboard, Ronda. Thanks for sharing the catalog. Nice trip down memory lane.
  9. You could try to do a prototype thing and use a pusher engine on the incline to help move the train up. There are rails that have teeth on the top of the rails and they provide extra grip to the rubber tired wheels like these: Emerald Express Additions by dr_spock_888, on Flickr http://www.bricklink...rch.asp?q=3228c
  10. Well done. Looking forward to the next installment.
  11. Nice build. Saw it on MOCPages. Was wondering if it was going to show up here.
  12. Looks like a solvent was used on the plastic parts. Not sure if it is Crazy Glue. Maybe acetone type which can melt and fuse ABS. Crazy Glue will release its bond if run through a dishwasher or left in a water a long time.
  13. Thanks Legogal. Today I washed some second hand LEGO. It's interesting to feel the plastic difference between current LEGO and pieces from 25 years.
  14. Their colour schemes don't look too bad. Their minifigs look scary though. Maybe good for a zombie invasion vignette. I suppose they sell an ak47 set so that you can shoot the trains for moving target practice.
  15. Service is good to me at my local stores. There is a customer satisfaction survey you can complete and use to voice your concerns. The survey URL and information are usually printed towards that bottom of your receipt. If you're a VIP member, you usually get one in your email after a several days.
  16. Holy cow. lots of nice pieces and a pirate ransom price. It does look fun to play with.
  17. I think there is another one opening in Pointe Claire. That would make two in Quebec.
  18. Is your engine a 0-6-0? It might work like that. If not, you can do flanged driver, flanged driver, blind driver configuration.
  19. Very nice render. Will there be a real brick version?
  20. Megabloks. Their under 3 years-old stuff is not too bad. Besides they are a Canadian company.
  21. Does Walmart need LEGO more than LEGO needs Walmart?
  22. I keep in mine in banker boxes and stacked from larger to smaller sizes. It's fun to go back once a while and look at the old 1980 catalogues booklets that came with instructions.
