  1. To be honest, I really want Gothmog (the orc at Minas Tirith) as well. But that's a lot less likely than Bolg was.
  2. The compass, oddly enough, points to the Norgh Camp.
  3. That seems like a pretty good price. Pleasure doing business with you.
  4. The heroes head into the northern passage. There, they find a group of bodies - some Norgh, some mercenaries. None of them seem to be from this mysterious second group, however. William notices two notable sets of footprints - one the tread of aDelfrin commander, heading back to the Norgh Camp in this wing, and one strange but vaguely aquatic set heading west.
  5. I'm wondering the exact opposite. We have, effectively, three fight scenes with some intrigue interspersed within. That's not a lot over all. DoS covered a lot more ground in the same amount of time. As for preference, I feel AUJ definitely captured the feel and look of the Hobbit. I was really pleased with the movie. I like DoS much better now that I've seen the EE, but I feel I'll appreciate it the most seeing the trilogy as a whole.
  6. Cool, it's Dyric's old 'friend'! He was supposed to die in 65, right? It's nice to see his survival actually have an affect on things.
  7. Rone whistles at the Extaordinaire. I recently picked up quite the beaut myself. I show Matthias the Crossbow of Incessant Warmongerers. It's practically the size of me. Speaking of crossbows, do you need one? I can part with the second one I picked up if you want.
  8. Just going to echo this, because it's a trend that was present on 53, I first really noticed at Baltarok, and this quest really highlighted it. Alexis used to be a really cool character, but I feel like you've kind of given up up of Alexis. I don't really have any advice to fix this, I'm not exactly the biggest expert on roleplaying, but I definitely sense a lack of dedication to the game as of late. I could be wrong, but that's just what seems to be coming across.
  9. Dyric drained his tankard heartily, and slammed it back against the table. It felt good to just relax for once. He should do this more often. So that's a pretty impressive weapon you've got there, Matthias. Can't say I've seen anything quite like it in the Hall.
  10. Siercon goes and inspects the old mine shaft. To his surprise, much of the tunnel seems to have been rebuilt recently. However, sections of it still feels very decrepit, and he is unsure if it would take their weight.
  11. So it seems you had some history with that guy. Not a lot, but we've met before. The heroes head down the left mine shaft, in pursuit of the Phibbian. Before long they come to an opening. The heroes glance around, and quickly noticed an oddly blocked-off section. What's with this? Seems we're near Duplovia. How do you figure? The original tunnels were dug during the Delfrin siege of Duplovia long before we were born. They were since blocked off. This would be the stretch leading to the Duplovian side of the old tunnels. Interesting. Hey, Tim, do you still have that map? Here! Great. It's not very filled out, but here's a map of this wing of the mines. It seems we've got some ground to cover if we're going to find that Priest. Where to first, Heroes?
  12. Yeah, the EE of DoS really fleshed out the film and made it much better in terms of pacing and over-all feel. I really don't understand how people can possibly think the entirely of the Hobbit's basic story could be fit into one movie. Sure, it's one book, but it gets away with that by being a book. The first film, asides from a couple scenes, was fairly accurate to the book. I could see the two-film method originally planned as being the minimal possible design. It may not be a long book, but it's very sequential, with a lot of events. Adding in the Necromancer arc managed to answer the questions people surely would have as to Gandalf's whereabouts, as well as include events that were taking place at the time and lead up to LotR. Not to mention lots of added stuff giving more character to the dwarves. I'm fine with my Hobbit trilogy.
  13. Dyric waves at the woman-who-looks-like-Nerwen, wondering who she is and what she's done with the real Nerwen. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the same. So yes, let's drink, to fellowship!
  14. Hey, Matthias, haven't seen you since Baltarok. Seems you've taken pretty good care of yourself.
  15. I roll my eyes, and look down at my upgraded crossbow. Man, this thing is bigger than I am.
  16. Guts Holla? Peacable? That's a laugh.
  17. It's got a ways to go yet, but that's definitely a start. Thanks for the help.
  18. Oh, I see what I've been doing wrong now. Sorry about that. Well, nevermind then. Yes, leveling it to 14 would do fine.

Did anyone see where they went? I lost the Archer, but the Dark Priest went down the left mine shaft, and Taviak went down the right. Looks like we're pursuing one or the other. Which'll it be, heroes?
  20. Say Alexis, you don't seem to be in need of your quiver lately. Sadly I just gave a bunch of money to upgrade my weapons, but I would still be willing to trade you my sandals or tricorne, or simply pay you later.
  21. Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculously under priced? It's a very cool weapon, but you could easily stock up on these and get someone to use one at the top of every round and carve through battles. That said, this store will be very useful to future Cannoneers!
  22. The 'Crossbow of Incessant Warmongers', yes. Such a pleasant title. And then that's about 607 for level 15, right? I think I can do that. I think that's about right. I apologize if my math is totally off. At least Dyric has been previously established at being awful at the sciences.
  23. So that's what, 571 gold to bring this up to level 14?
  24. I'm still holding out for a Minas Tirith exclusive. A couple more Hobbit sets would be nice, but I'm satisfied with it for the moment.
  25. I'll be the first to admit the EU was a bit of a mess, and the past few years it's been getting worse and worse in quality. I was wondering about a total reboot a while ago, and I think it'll do it good. That said, I don't know if I'll be following the new EU. It's a lot of work, and I'm not feeling it as much as I used to. I just wish they'd stop rebranding the older books with that 'Legacy' banner.
