Heroica RPG Quest #112: The Lion, the Wretch, and the Warlord
The Legonater replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
I fire at Violet. -
Such a well-done trailer. Particularly impressed that it doesn't spoil anything new, it only shows us things we've already seen, just in a better light. That's how you do a trailer.

Heroica RPG - Quest #113: Mystery in the Mines
The Legonater replied to The Legonater's topic in The Heroica Archive
Oh! More rescuers! Good, good. I am Shagcorkh, a chief miner here. You wish to speak to Uglrukh, our leader. He is not here, now. Not now. He found a man, a Delfrin man. A rescuer like you. He was surrounded by Wildmen, but he was not wounded by the Wildmen. The Marked Men and Uglrukh took the Delfrin man north. That is where Uglrukh is now. They are looking for the people who attacked the Delfrin man.- 356 replies

It's alright. The heroes waved farewell to the Delfrin miners, and went north. They found several Norghs chattering to themselves, chipping away at the rock around them. One of them notices the heroes' arrival. Who are you? You aren't miners.- 356 replies

Heroica RPG Quest #112: The Lion, the Wretch, and the Warlord
The Legonater replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Alright. I fire at the Red Spearman. It's a long story, but essentially my family were part of the royal security, and we investigated attacks with our rogue skills. When King Somoril took the throne, rogues were banned and eventually I was exiled as an example. That's... that's all behind me now. There was a time I would wish to return and reclaim my glory, but the past few years have shown me there's far more at stake here than my goals. -

It's been a few years, at least. I'm Dyric Rone, Assassin of the Light. I was kicked out of Duplovia so I made my way here. Eventually I realized I could help fix things. So I decided to devote myself to that - fixing things. Using my skills to calm situations and - if need be - eliminate targets. Quickly. How about you? -
Heroica RPG Quest #112: The Lion, the Wretch, and the Warlord
The Legonater replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Sounds fun. I helped clear out a hotel, which included talking down crazed vigilantes and fighting dragons. Met a girl there, too, 'name's Claire. After that I got into the middle of a Hinckwell/Shadeux dispute over a caravan. I haven't really done anything since Baltarok - not that you'd know anything about that. I traveled across the sea, helped restore the orc clans. That was a thing and a half. ...there were three parties that went to Baltarok. Like Dastan. We came so close to fighting each other, Atramor. Far too close for comfort. And what's your problem? I'm afraid I don't think we've met before this quest. -

Bardrick went north, I think. I didn't catch where Lachterson went. I think he said they were going to group up with the other rescue team at the Duplovian camp. Speaking of which, you're absolutely right - it'll be a lot safer over there than with you guys. If you don't have anymore questions, I think we'll head out. We should get going, too. Where to next, heroes?- 356 replies

I'm kind of hoping Ultron is made up entirely of a new body, sort of like the battle droids but more human-like. -

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
The Legonater replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Got to say, I'm really impressed with the Azure Angel. I'm liking how LEGO is pulling stuff out of left field lately, first Revan, now this... I hope they keep it up. -
I am completely astonished at the amount of bashing that's been going on against the line. Personally, BoFA is great. Could it have been better? Sure, with the addition of Iron Hill Warriors and a couple other people. That would raise the cost of the set, of course, and I could see why they would be opposed to that. Furthermore, we have Mirkwood Elves and Thranduil in another set, and the Orcs we have are fine. Not to mention, we've had beautiful sets in the past few years from the LotR/Hobbit line. Was Helm's Deep and Orthanc a half-hearted attempt to do the license proper justice? Because personally they're the highlight of my collection, to say nothing of Bag End, Moria, and my Goblin Town set-up (which is admittedly made up of the original set mashed with the Mordor Mine). LEGO's done an amazing job with this line.

Heroica RPG - Quest #113: Mystery in the Mines
The Legonater replied to The Legonater's topic in The Heroica Archive
Duplovians, huh? Then you must be Eyric Rone. The one and only. Well I suppose I should be introducing you to our project leader, but he's missing. As well as, you know, must other people around here. Though I guess that's why you guys showed up. I'm Pierce. I'm second-in-command around here. Or, first-in-command now, I guess. Dmitri, just another miner. I'm Selene. I wish I could say I knew what was going on around here, but I don't. A month ago, people starting disappearing. We sent someone out to Delfrin, but he never came back. Then Bardrick - that's our leader - set out with a couple guys to find out what exactly's going on. He didn't come back either. Lachterson stopped through here with his rescue party, asked us a few questions. They left, same sob story.- 356 replies

You ought to come back here once you're finished. A human with a spear like that? Ha, that's a sight I'd love to see. The heroes continue on, and make their way to the Delfrin camp. Who are you?- 356 replies

I really hope the extended edition fixed a lot of the issues I had with Beorn. He's a great character in the books, and in the movie he was just sort of... there. He had nothing to add. I would love for them to properly do the whole introduction scene which would have served as an excellent wrap-up of the previous movie, but that might be a bit much to ask for. Other than that, I just hope things are made generally better. DoS was not half as good as it should have been, at least not until Smaug came in.
