  1. Ah, an often overlooked Miyazaki movie- the Lupin III one: Castle of Cagliostro (I think). Though I can't say I see as much Miyazaki influence on the Lupin material as I'd like, but I guess that's personal preference.
  2. Indeed, the brilliant Edward! Also too easy, Tarfful… though I admit it is a fairly crazy picture of her. Let's consider 2 of us agreeing to be confirmation enough on that one- your turn, Kalhiki!
  3. OK. Another one that's easy if you've seen it. And if you haven't, you should (the series & movies)!
  4. Nobody? I'll take a stab at it, though I haven't seen the movie: Hanna? Took me a bit to find it, but I recognize the girl and this scene (from the trailer). Is it any good / worth watching?
  5. Nice all around, but the bucket handle used for that wisp of hair on his forehead is great!
  6. That's great! You should add a witch inside waiting for children who try to eat it.

Nicely done. I especially like your take on the updated container!
  8. Great use of the book. Absolutely adorable!
  9. You're right on both counts! I was looking for a set photo as everything else has Grant front-and-center… and somehow I was thinking that Karloff was in the film (with the whole inside joke about him thing), but I had that backwards. I guess maybe I should go re-watch it! The 1944 version may have been colorized, but I'm pretty certain it was B&W originally… and I don't think I've ever seen it in color. Of course, I also got on of the main cast members wrong, so… don't take my word for it.
  10. No, but good guess! This is a dark(ish) comedy, from a few years later.
  11. d'oh! OK, you get next guess on mine!
  12. Earth vs the Flying Saucers! Awesome! OK… let me see what I can find that's more obscure, then! Alright, not overly obscure because I'm sure we could all find something that would be impossible to guess if we tried. But how 'bout this without it's biggest name actors in scene:
  13. As well it should be. It's creepy, and charming. :) Let's see how long this one lasts (without getting too obscure!):
  14. Yes, Blazing Saddles is correct, Super Goblin (and Tarfful)! … and I believe that would be the 50's version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers!
  15. Well, I was thinking this door and this frame, but only just realized that the "Freestyle" doors are 4x5 so won't fit in the standard 1x4x6 frame. You could still use that solid black door with a 2x4x5 frame, but the 2 stud depth would make it hard there, and those frames only come in white, red, yellow, and I think pink from Paradisa. But! You could still use that tan door frame and this door in light-bley. That'd probably look OK with the trim darker grey trim color you've got in there. And hey, if you want a piano in your bedroom, who I am to judge what you do behind closed doors?
  16. Cool. Easy movie, maybe not as easy screenshot? Let's see:
  17. I had the same feeling about the Box4Blox, ElCrab. It looks like a nice product, but not quite what I want and a little more than I'd want to spend. That wood and line sorter I posted looks great, but I just don't have that much time! I wonder if some mid-sized Sterilite-type flat plastic boxes could have holes cut in the bottom to accomplish something similar. Or cardboard reinforced with packing tape or something before being cut so it wouldn't deteriorate so quickly with all the ABS going through it? All things considered, it'd probably be best for me to just spend the $40.
  18. I think that looks great! I know exactly that style of house, and I think you've captured it very nicely at that scale! C&C: I don't know about the brick-built door to the bathroom. I'm guessing you just didn't want to have windows in the door to the bathroom which makes sense, but if there's room there I'd switch it for a solid black Freestyle door in a regular tan frame. The piano is nicely built and would probably look better downstairs, but there's only so much you can do before the building suddenly gets much bigger. Can't wait to see more of your subdivision!
  19. That's Jack Benny, so that leads me to believe that the movie is Charley's Aunt? If so, that definitely wasn't an easy one! :)
  20. OK, no anton, so here's another… not as obscure as Space Raiders, but:
  21. Here's the best DIY sorting tray system I've seen, and it's basically what you describe- wood frames with meshes made of nylon finishing line: http://moz.net.nz/lego/2012-08-19-lego-sifting/
  22. Amazing work at that scale! Instantly recognizable and a lot of nice techniques used to capture it.
  23. OK, yes! Thom Christopher was in so much random stuff, but Hawk definitely sticks in my mind. That would make this movie Space Raiders (1983), but never would have gotten there without the Thom Christopher hook (or some cheating)! Assuming that's correct, anton1678 take their turn at posting one if desired, otherwise I'll put up something new tomorrow (since I really need to get some sleep now!).
  24. That looks so familiar… but I don't know. That alien I'm pretty sure was a big TV actor… I want to say he was in Buck Rogers or some other 80's Sci-Fi series… nice one, Jedi-Bendu...
  25. I had the same thing happen to me, also last week. I was ordering sets, and only 5 or 6, but while they'd show in my cart when I added them, then I clicked in to the cart to check out it showed it was empty. Then I'd go to add a set again, and the cart icon would show that I still had items in it (navigating live, not just clicking "Back"). Really odd. I was logged in as VIP so, as tkatt did, I switched from Safari over to something else (it was either Firefox or Chrome- don't recall now) and signed in there and everything worked normally. I think they've got some bugs right now...
