  1. "Mudded" is a word, and works fine here. So just the "it's" that should be "its" and all is well. But minor grammatical quibbles aside, I did take time to read the whole thing and it's a lot of fun. I would say the drama runs a little long for the overall gag, but I think that was at least partially what you were going for, and it's enjoyable and the builds and photos work very well throughout. Keep up the great builds and fun prose!
  2. I also had to skim the story due to time at the moment, but it looks like it's a great read. The cliff and lighting is nice, that farmhouse is excellent, and the build with the river & waterfall for the "monster" rescue is wonderful as well. Great job all-around!
  3. Welcome to EB, Franziska! That sounds like a wonderful way to transition out of your dark ages; what a thoughtful gift. Nice to have you and your large brick family here with us. Happy building!
  4. Personally I like the more detailed and elaborate design from Kalkwarf, but there is definitely some Classic Castle nostalgia with yours (and just a bit of more modern touches for good measure). The modular expandability of the Classic Castle sets was always one of my favorite things from the theme. It would be fun to see some of those classic sets put together with your modern interpretation here.
  5. Hi Aerolight - sounds like a fun project! I can't comment on the specific thrust, but something else you need to keep in mind is range. With a drone or helicopter it doesn't matter quite as much, but for a plane moving quickly enough to generate the necessary lift (assuming you're not building a huge & very slow powered glider design) you could quickly get outside the 30 meter/100 foot range of the bluetooth for the Buwizz.
  6. Cute. I like the medallion, and those eyes are great. Also NPU with the ruffled sleeve cuffs.
  7. Welcome to EB, Skeleton + Top Hat! Enjoy the Great Brick War, and happy building!
  8. This looks awfully similar to @Micheal Kalkwarf's work. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/01/13/castle-not-just-castle-modular-system-creating-lego-castles/ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/b967bda0-d0be-4d3f-9f47-9b0c2ebcca26
  9. Glad it worked! Yeah, I didn't dig deeper into it at the time, but if you've ever looked at a raw LDD file it's basically XML markup, and I think that over time if you make a lot of changes - especially with sub-assemblies - some of the "formatting" tags don't always get cleaned up and while the file can still technically be parsed properly it becomes bloated and slow to process. Maybe with Lego's purchase of Bricklink we'll see some of the better features of LDD make their way into Stud.io? *fingers crossed*
  10. I absolutely noticed that too!
  11. This may be totally off-base - and it's been a while since I've used LDD - but I seem to recall something similar with a couple files I was working on. I had the same thought that they had been damaged in some way after working on them off-and-on for a long time, and what seemed to work for those was copying-and-pasting the model or sub-models/sections from the "bad" file into a new one. Not importing or adding a file as a sub-model, etc., but actually select parts and ctrl-c in old file and then ctrl-v into a new file.
  12. My first thought about this set was that it's a modern remake of 6672 Safari Off-road Vehicle. My second thought was the same as yours: nice exterior look, but needlessly clumsy design with basically no interior. My guess is that they were up against a budget issue (either time or cost) and it was easiest to just throw in those couple long bring and brackets and call it a day. And all those stickers! Yikes.
  13. Those look great! I especially like the color scheme on the '05 Mustang. The shaping on the Camaro is also very well done.
  14. It's been a pretty common issue in Chrome for many users. If you google for it you'll see a lot of content. Here's a helpful guide on some settings to check: https://www.guidingtech.com/fix-chrome-doesnt-keep-you-logged-in/ You could also try Firefox just to make sure it's an issue with Chrome specifically.
  15. Hi Sjoerd! Just to clarify for those interested, are you looking for a single static model of the crane for display, a 1-off that has working features as well, or are you looking to have packaged sets produced with instructions, etc., for distribution/gifts? It's a very different project to design and build a single example vs also creating buildable instructions, sourcing parts in quantity for copies, etc., so good to know that expectation up-front.
  16. The site also remembers me just fine - maybe once a week or so it'll force me to log back in if I haven't manually logged out. What browser are you using? Firefox and Safari work fine for me. Maybe an ad blocker or some other software like that could be interfering somehow?
  17. Welcome to EB, Paul! I'm sure you'll find plenty of inspiration here to start putting together some great MOCs. Happy building!
  18. What are you asking for, exactly? You're wanting someone to help you steal the instructions instead of just purchasing them, or are you looking for something similar to get you started on making modules yourself, or... what?
  19. Welcome to EB, Erik! Definitely plenty of activity here to get your AFOL fix! Looking forward to seeing some of your awesome (award winning) MOCs. Happy building!
  20. I love it! It's got so much going on, but somehow doesn't feel too busy. Nice blending of all the various earth elements- I especially like the 2 different legs and crystals popping up throughout. Also NPU with the flowers still attached to the sprue in that big bunch at the top.
  21. Welcome to EB, Per Andre! Coming out of your Lego "dark ages" is a fun time, and there's sure to be plenty of inspiration and community here for you to enjoy - happy building!
  22. This is great! I agree that there's some room for improvement with the transition from above to underwater with the beach and all, it's still well done and a lot of fun. I like all the little elements on the shore and that larger boat in particular, and the photo of the underwater bit works really well.
  23. Looks great. Nice use of the different greys for the stone, and the apparatus attached to the emperor is nicely complex and greebly without being oversized or dominating the scene. Nice build!
  24. Welcome to EB, Kit Figsto! Happy to have you here and no longer in stealth mode. Happy building!
  25. Sure - perhaps this was the prototype for the E-Wing that was then known to the greater galaxy?
