I'm pretty sure that's a non-Lego piece. It's too big for regular minifig use. Does it have a Lego imprint anywhere on it? Were there other non-Lego brands in the bulk lot?

Honestly, unless you're also going to re-work the engine placement and size and a few of the other details striving for accuracy, I like your current version better!

Hi Andrew - welcome to EB! Happy building!

Welcome to EB, and out of your Lego "dark ages," Arne! Looking forward to seeing some of your MOCs. Happy building!

That's beautiful. I like the plants and the gravel & stepping stones, and the hint of koi under the water is really nice! I would maybe have not used all of those various round pieces for the larger stones and gone with more rustic and natural looking rock work. The fox is really well done as well. Good posing, nice color choices, and those tooth elements really work well for the ears!

It may not be entirely accurate, but I think it's a great MOC. The changes you've made for stability/swooshability seem reasonable, and the result is still a good looking ship that still fits into that universe nicely.

Lovely. The simple but effective part usage on the hat especially is great!

Welcome to EB, Derek! Plenty of inspiration and conversation here for you, and I look forward to seeing some of your creations. Happy building!

That's fun - I especially like the tooth part usage at the top of the boots. Great dynamic pose, too.

Another beautiful build! NPU with the wands for the deer's legs, the horns for icicles, and various bits in the bare trees. Great texturing on the building, and I like the the sloped dark red bit at the bottom of the taller timber portion. The waterfall and stream are also lovely. For the stair railings, are the cross sections (with the cheese slopes) just set in there, or are they secured by some technique?

That is beautiful. NPU on the chain link in a few spots, and lovely detail throughout the buildings, but as zoth33 said, the ground work really stands out. Thanks for sharing this build and that excellent combination of techniques!

Welcome to EB, Mr G! Happy building!

Well, I think there may have been some aspect of people trying to have a deeper discussion that came off instead as attacking/challenging, but I also understand that how it feels is how it feels, and if you're having an unpleasant time it makes sense to remove that unpleasantness. Best wishes to you, and happy building into the future!

This is lovely! A great scene overall, and the gold adornments are well used, the sheep are adorable, and the characters have nice variety and are nicely constructed. And the Tri-Wizard Tournament cup? Jesus was a wizard - that explains a few things!

Very cute. Nicely detailed & decorated, and I like that tree, too!

Horrifically adorable.

Those are adorable! Nice eyebrows and facial hair on the tree, and the nixel is cute too. I also agree that the bite out of the gingerbread Mixel's head is great!

RC Extra Large Spider MOC
deraven replied to MaxBrix's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow - great movement on that, and surprisingly fast/mobile. I would add a larger midsection to really give it that spider look when seen in brighter light so it can still properly unnerve people even not in the shadows. -
It's a matter of opinion, but I agree that 75257 is a very good Falcon set. I 2nd this! I think this one is a must-have. It's one of my favorite Star Wars sets of all time; a great balance of size, built techniques, playability, etc..

[Review] #75273 Poe Dameron's X-wing Fighter
deraven replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The rubber band placement and that lever to open the wings makes it a pass for me. The lever feels like something that they forced in for the sake of being different from the last 5 X-Wing models, and the rubber bands stick out badly and in my opinion ruin the look of the split wing/engine when open. That's too bad because I do like some of the other changes... but then add the $90 price and there's no good reason to grab it unless you've missed most of the earlier versions. -
NEED ADVICE on printing custom Figure Decals
deraven replied to Dovakkhiin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Still a lot of variables you're dealing with. Why don't you try printing some decals that have the correct color matching, file type, resolution, etc., and see how they come out? Take a look at the last post in this thread for a a couple examples you can try (and you'll note that it's set up at 300 DPI and looks good printed at that resolution): If you can find the correct print settings to get those coming out OK, then you can move on to how you need to set up your own files to have the right results. And as MAB mentioned, the type of decal stock you use matters as well... but one thing at a time! -
Cool. The hair is wonderful, and the sleeves are a nice touch, but the stand-out for me is the billowing flow of the dress. Great build!

Fabulous! Great concept and execution. The ice, especially the broken bits in the wake of the boat, is done really well and the builds for both the boat and the Land Rover are super. Not sure about the boat being crewed by crash test dummies, though... or is that how they got into that predicament in the first place?
