  1. I'm hoping to make a Lego store run in the near future, so I may pick it up then. Steve
  2. It seems a little silly and overpriced to me. I'll probably wind up getting it thought, since it will be part of my hopefully complete Castle collection. I've not yet picked it up, since I've only seen it at TRU and am currently participating in a single-person boycott with TRU over their mark-ups and return policy. Steve
  3. I hope they'd design a different tent though. The Indy/JT one looks too modern for Orcs. They'd need something different. Something like Yoda's hut would also make a good Orc hovel. Steve
  4. An orc tent/war-camp would make a great addition to the line. Steve
  5. Nice use of the throw-away pieces as vines. Steve
  6. It might have been marked down on clearance the way the TIE Crawler was. Steve
  7. You shouldn't call Whung's gallery BS. He has some nice stuff in there... :-P Steve
  8. I got one this morning. It was weird, like you've described. I wonder if it some preliminary/interim catalog that we get until the new one comes out. I don't recall ever getting an "early spring" catalog before. Steve
  9. I was looking to pick up a second one. I really like the baseplates. I gave up as it seems to be quite pricey here and there are so many new sets I want. I have the re-release and it didn't seem to have anything different, though I can't say for sure, since I don't have the original. Steve
  10. Great review. Thanks for taking the time to do this. This has been a great line. At the risk of abandoning my Castle/Adventurer loyalties. I've got to say this is rapidly becoming my favorite line and this set looks to be the best of the lot. While it still hurts to shell out $150, I think I'll still be happy to do so. Steve
  11. It was a little pricey, but I liked it. Not sure it was worth the full price, but its not a bad set. It would have been a lot better, if it had included two of the bow/stern pieces. Steve
  12. Interesting new window/shutter design. I'm glad they didn't abandon shutters. I'm curious to see how well these work and how good they look. I wish they'd done the roof bricks in a color other than red. Everything you need to make a Lego trailer park... :-D Steve
  13. I agree. I'd like to have seen the other factions fleshed out a bit more (though not the skeleton one... they'd need to be boned out :-P ), rather than a new one immediately introduced. I hope that they'll maybe revisit the other factions, once they've gone through them all. No, its part of a game. There are a bunch of skulls hidden on the map for kids you find. You've just found one of those. Good eye though. Steve
  14. I had a couple. I gave some away though as part of a gift exchange, so I don't know if I do or not. Steve
  15. Yes, that's the one. Steve
  16. Ooooh, Corsairs... I hadn't thought about those. Steve
  17. Taking an idea from this thread regarding the wild west theme, I thought we should have a similar thread here. So what non-pirate theme figures would work well for pirates? This guy could make some kind of special solider, maybe a Grenadier: Any of these Han Solo variations would work too: Plus the super cool Lando: Dagobah Luke: Those are my initial thoughts, Steve
  18. I was thinking about a non-custom thread, similar to this one about the Wild West. I'll start one. Though, I'm not sure a thread involving customs should necessarily be moved to the customs forum. Since C-P is trying to be the site for all your Lego pirate needs, it might be permissible to have the thread here. Or if not a link to such a thread in the custom forum. Steve
  19. There was a special villain comic release at Lego stores too. Did you know about that one? Steve
  20. Some new pictures there, including this one: X-D Steve
  21. Yes, exactly like that. I think it would make a good addition to a newbie page. Steve
  22. A thread about non-pirate sets that are good for pirate MOCing would be good. Also one about non-pirate figures that can be used in pirate MOCs. I think both your data and lugnet and brickset's data would be good. The more info the better. Steve
  23. This list is great. I just signed up for netflix and have been filling my queue with these suggestions. Steve
  24. I really like the rock formations near the jeep. Its also a very nice rendition of the opening temple scene. I'm particularly fond of how the pit is actually significantly lowered below the floor level. The water, however, looks off. The terrain needs to be sloping down to it a bit more. The water (looks like it?) is higher than the land. Do we have a link to the gallery? Steve
  25. Monkeys on Cows... :-P Steve
