  1. B-V-3C Got some of the new Indy sets and just had to build this: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...tes/picnic1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...tes/picnic2.jpg Steve
  2. [miniland] Hypno-Toad: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi.../hypnotoad1.jpg And the rest of the Futurama cast too: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi...-futurama-0.jpg Including, Hermes: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi...ama/hermes1.jpg Kif: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi...turama/kif1.jpg and Nibbler: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi...ma/nibbler1.jpg The whole dark-matter gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=314045 Steve
  3. I found the tent set and the cutter set. Both had shelf tags, but they rang up in self-checkout as "Restricted Sales." So we went to normal check out where the same thing happened. But the checker just manually rang them up. I guess it just depends on who you get for a checker. Steve
  4. I like this topic. Anyone else have any contributions? Here's some more: Pizza (how could I forget pizza?) Candy Hearts Carrot Say D.P., think you could change the subject of your post to something like Food MOCs? I think that would get more attention. Steve
  5. Now I can't justify buying an entire set, just to do one miniland figure... or can I? Steve
  6. I don't think red-red would be the way to go. Though I can't think of a good color for them. I personally thought yellow worked just fine. Gah, I hope not. It looks like they got into a batch of cheap sunless tanning lotion... Steve
  7. Kif will be coming, but I don't know about Amy, since there isn't a lot of readily available pink parts. Steve
  8. Inspired by PQ's futurama MOC, I decided to do a miniland series of: Futurama Miniland Figures. Fry (with Pizza for I.C. Wiener) Leela Bender Bending Rodriguez Zoidberg The Professor (with Finglongerer) Zapp 'I have a very sexy learning diability' Branigan The whole futuristic gallery. Steve
  9. Here's some more: Sushi The Chef Milk, Tomato and Turnip More Milk Coffee and Donuts Taco Lobster And my favorite: McDonalds Steve
  10. I don't like the milk that well, but the oreo is clever. I think it could be done better though. Here's some food stuff I found: Candy? Waffle Candy Cane Gingerbread House Another Gingerbread House Hamburger Hot Dog Cake More Cake Even More Cake Some other stuff, including cake Wedding Cake Turkey Apple and/or Orange Official Fruit Sets Ice Cream Parfait (everybody loves parfaits...) Martini and Mai Tai That's what I can come up with. Steve
  11. Not to mention rubbing two Harry Potter wands together to make fire. Or putting your non-printed ears to the ground to hear the cowboy's plastic horse hoofs. Steve
  12. A couple of others: The Librarian (a TNT miniseries): pretty hokey, but it was adventure-y. And there is a sequel, which I haven't seen. Hidalgo Steve
  13. Or just put it up on blocks next to a trailer and you've got a nice trailer-trash section of town... Steve
  14. I think that's the heart of the problem. That's not to say, I wouldn't heartily welcome a WildWest revival. Steve
  15. The sets were a little pricey and the smaller sets really weren't that great. How many Indian chiefs does one really need? I think this kept me from buying more of them. There also wasn't much to do with them. Just hanging around the teepee village and dodging falling rocks. It was probably too hard to do any conflict with them, as it would not be PC to have the Indians fighting the cowboys... or even worse the US Cavalry. I liked the line though and hope Lego revives it. Steve
  16. Ah, there it is. I was afraid a mutant respect the brick policy was running amok. Steve
  17. He did do a review at fbtb, I even replied in it, but it has mysteriously vanished. I wonder what this means for the rumor of Mutt as Indiana Jones and Marian Ravenwood's son? Steve
  18. Well still the question is valid, if you simply reword it as: Do Indy characters forget their names a lot? *tongue* And, while they may be movie accurate, the names on the torsos really takes away any incentive to obtain multiple figures. Steve
  19. Apparently Mutt can't remember his name: And Jock has the same problem: Its like juniorization in a whole different way... All we need is Indy with a "Hello my Name is..." tag. *hmpf* Steve
  20. Cate Blanchett. True, but much better in real life: *wub* Steve
  21. Looks like Belloq somehow survive the little Ark incident and has joined forces with the Commies... That's a really poor show Lego. *hmpf* Apparently the natives got into a bad batch of sunless tanning lotion. The long black hair should be useful though. Steve
  22. I just noticed the Castle-ified banners, in the town and space forums (though not for Pirates?) and thought they were quite funny. Keep up the good work. Steve
  23. As someone who has to drive 4 hours to the bay-area Lego stores, a drive from San Bruno to Santa Clara isn't that big of a deal (39 minutes according to yahoo maps). Heck, even if you came all the way from Novato to San Jose, its only about 80 minutes. 5-7 seems a bit small. Its hard to keep a group going, without a certain critical mass. If you have a group of seven and two people miss the meeting and two don't get around to making/brining any cool MOCs, you're going to have a pretty shabby meeting, which may negatively impact your next meeting, resulting in a downward spiral. Maybe you could have a smaller chapter of BAYLUG? Steve, who really isn't trying to discourage you... *classic*
  24. That was my first thought when I saw the set: "Hey, they made Lao Che's plane. I hope there's chickens!" Steve
  25. Is that a new knife in Mutt's hand? It looks like the old aquaraiders knife, but in non-chrome dark grey. Steve
