  1. Looks great. I'm not sure about the surfacing under the treads, but that's a minor quibble. Posted to adventurers.dk. Steve
  2. Kind of violent for an 8-year old... Nice work though, Steve
  3. I'm not sure this is movie accurate. Wasn't the bomb dropped, not from the air, but from some sort of tower? Beyond that, nice bomb. Posted to adventurers.dk. Steve
  4. The printed pieces are the real gems of this set. Beyond them, there isn't much to this set, though the boat hull is nice. The model itself, isn't all that great. The new Akator temple is definately a superior model (at least in piece count), but those printed pieces are hard to resist. Steve
  5. Very cool. Pharoah looks like he'll be getting a little warm in that get up. I also like the use of the old fireman torso on his guards, but I can't get past seeing them as firemen. I also cross-posted this to adventurers.dk. Steve
  6. I agree with Legoredo, the Shrieking Shack and the Graveyard. I'm not sure about the Palace. It has a few very nice printed parts, but as for general bricks it relies too heavily on large pieces. The new Indy Akator temple set is a nice parts pack. Steve
  7. Great set up. I like the tracks. I do think the torsos should look a bit more Chinese though. Steve
  8. Ah, you mean the skulls, not the skeletons. I guess I can see the resemblance. Steve
  9. Here are some ghost towns I've encountered: Keys Ranch, in Joshua Tree National Park. The Lost Horse Mine, also in Joshua Tree, at the end of a 2 mile trail. and Pioneertown, about five miles north of Yucca Valley, CA. They are all relatively easy to find via a google search and you can read a bit about them on my blog and I can post more pictures, if you're interested. Steve
  10. The Brickster should like my latest update from Joshua Tree: http://johnny-thunder.blogspot.com/ Steve
  11. Looks like the took an old alpha-team deep sea set and slapped Agents on it. Particularly that thing in the lower right corner. I bet this is extremely preliminary. Steve
  12. OK. I just put this together. Here are my intial thoughts: 1. It looks nothing like the temple in the movie. Did the designers watch the movie? I'm guessing no. 2. Why only two of those funny pillar things? Weren't there three in the movie? 3. The natives are too orange. I'm not sure what I'll use them for. Still its nice to have them. 4. Why aren't the skeletons clear? I'd rather have had only one and it be clear than three and white. 5. No Oxley or Mac? Dump the commie and give us one of them. Steve
  13. I was also thinking that was the case, as I built the Temple set. Some of the stuff included just seems off the wall. And why aren't the skeletons transclear too? That's a terrible cost-cutting measure. Steve
  14. I want to know what's in the box. :skull: ? ? ? Steve
  15. Where is that at? Steve
  16. I thought it was an ok Indy film, and a decent action movie. It was about on par with Temple of Doom, maybe a bit less. It was a decent way to kind of reboot the franchise, with Mutt as the main character: Mutt Williams and the Fate of Atlantis, anyone? I didn't like the vine swinging part at all though. The aliens didn't bother me, though they seemed to irritate other people. Steve
  17. I'd take that bet. Steve
  18. Looks like Indy with 'roid rage... Nice map. Is it a sticker or printed? Steve
  19. Its a little sparse/barren. I needs something, though I'm not exactly sure what. Steve
  20. That's kind of a goofy looking model. Looks like something out of battlebots... Steve
  21. Richard AM from classic-castle posted a picture of the survey: Since its through the factory, they won't have new molds, so I think the animals and robots would be creator style non-minifig sets. Steve
  22. I haven't gotten any survey. Was there any indication of what type of set an animals theme would be? Creator-like constructed animals or a zoo/safari? Simply animals is pretty broad and vague. Wild West would be great too. Robots, in my opinion, is the only loser in that list. Steve
  23. Since I'm going to be gone for the next few days, I'm scheduled four new posts over the weekend, to be posted daily over the weekend: Today: Dixieland. Tomorrow: Memphis. Saturday: Texas. Sunday: Southwest US Steve
