  1. Take a virtual tour of Sutter's Fort, with Johnny and Pippin: http://johnny-thunder.blogspot.com/ Steve
  2. The doctor is just Kilroy on a horse. I'd change that up a bit. Either use a different torso or a different face. I'm not sure about the Pith helmet either. They don't seem very wild-west to me. The ranger looks good. I like the grey hat with the black torso. Maybe a backpack would look good on him too? Steve
  3. What about dark blue, tan or brown pants, in lieu of the red? Steve
  4. I bought what appeared to be a MISB set from Walmart, only to get it home and find out someone had opened it, filled it with trash and a bunch of knock-off brand bricks, then resealed it. My first indication that something was wrong was that it sounded a bit off, though not enough to really rouse my suspicion, especially since it was still MISB, with now visible sign of tampering. What really tipped me off, was when I tried to open it. The glue they used to reseal the box was much stronger than Lego uses. I had to fight with Walmart about returning it, but eventually got my money back. Steve
  5. Very funny. Steve
  6. The tan torso looks good. It might be slightly too modern, but it works. I like how it looks with the black bandana. The red pants with the red shirt doesn't do it for me. Looks too much like long underwear. The torso decals look good too, even if I don't approve. Steve
  7. I'm going with Indy and Castle. If I had to pick between the two, I'd probably go with Castle, as they're not fleshtoned. Though Indy has potential to offer some nice specialized pieces. I don't know that there is going to be a HP6 line. Though Indy was confirmed. I do agree with everyone else, however, that this is a silly topic, as we haven't seen any sets. So any opinions I have are based on my vision of ideal sets for each line. Steve
  8. Best MOC = Batbrick. I really like the design of the temple. Best Story = yorklejim. This just felt like the most Indy-esque artifact. Oddest = slyowl. No explanation needed. Steve
  9. I'm not a member, but I don't think there is any guarantee regarding what set you'll receive. Some people get the advertised set, while others get something else. Steve
  10. Yellow might work well. It might pick up some of the accents in the uniforms. Steve
  11. If you want brown and white buy the shack. If you want greys buy the graveyard. Steve
  12. Dinosaurs and a ghosttown take center stage in the latest entry: http://johnny-thunder.blogspot.com/ Steve
  13. Are you asking which themes we intend to follow in '09? If so, then Castle and Indy. If you want to know what new theme's we'd like to see, then anything historic and something with animals (zoo, safari, farm, etc.). Steve
  14. Great idea for a thread. Sadly there is no set numbered 84... Steve
  15. Maybe some kind of a blog, might be more efficient? Then again, we've already got a lot of blogs that cover Lego news... Steve
  16. I'm not sure I like the epaulettes. Definately, don't like the brown ones. Beyond that, they're just the regular cavalry figures. Steve
  17. Very funny. Though, I'm not sure it should count as a vignette, since its significantly larger than 8x8. Steve
  18. Kind of off topic, but there is a lion in the Indy game, which I think would make a great new piece. Steve
  19. I'd prefer if they did it the way the original series was done. Year 1 = Cowboys, Year 2 = Indians, Year 3 = Mexicans? Steve
  20. Nice find. He makes some quality stuff. Steve
  21. Depends on what you're using it for. On a hamburger, I prefer an American and Jack combination. Or swiss. On a cheesesteak or roast beef sandwich, I prefer provolone. On mexican food, I like a chedder and jack blend. On pizza, you got to go with Motzarella. Generally, I like swiss, jack and chedder. Depending on my mood. Steve
  22. Here are my (and other people's) thoughts: Click here Steve
  23. Don't know if I ever mentioned it, but we went with the miniland figures. And I finally tracked down a good picture of them in action. Cake 1 Cake 2 Steve
  24. I like the classic smileys too. I just think it looks a bit odd, when you have 3 classic smileys and 1 decorated face. What I really think looks funny, which I just thought of now, is mixing the pupiled eyes with non-pupiled eyes. Steve
