  1. Thought the trolls could use a place to rest their little green heads: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Or...s/trollhut1.jpg It opens up, of course, but I haven't made an interior yet: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Or...s/trollhut3.jpg And the back (with the high price of gas, even the trolls have had to make some cuts): http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Or...s/trollhut4.jpg The whole orc-tastic gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=347362 Steve
  2. Definately one of you best MOCs. I really like the eaves over the windows. Those windows look better than I thought they would too. The only things I would suggest is making the bottom all grey. I like the contrast between the stone and the half-timbering. And I'd make the roof overhang the outer/side walls. I think that looks better. Steve
  3. That's a great tutorial. Can it be done similarly with a free image altering program like GIMP? Steve
  4. What are those brown pieces? Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain... I mean, in the avatar... Steve
  5. Here's a list of the top rated sets from brickset. And the lugnet set rankings. Steve
  6. I don't think the figures are stickers. I was referring to the portraits and signage. Steve
  7. That's what I was going to say... No lego and that whole genocide thing... Steve
  8. Do we know if the decorated elements are printer or just more crappy sticker-age? Steve
  9. I'm not sure its a new piece. It looks more like a mold/cast or a test piece. Steve
  10. Now that is a MOC and a half. Beyond getting the supply of bricks, though, I don't imagine it would be all that overly difficult to do something like that up yourself. Well the supply and the time consumption... Steve
  11. That's strange. I thought for sure we'd be in an Amish... er I mean elfish paradise... Steve
  12. What a strangely funny topic. I think tomato juice would be a good place to start. Steve
  13. Darkie mentioned that Lego unveiled 15 female figures at NW BrickCon. Here are pictures of four: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/291254...d7a4825.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3247/291253...039caae6c_b.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/dunechaser/29...157607726829590 Lets see if we can track down all 15, Steve
  14. Hardly a single normal brick in this set at all. Its what's been keeping me from getting this one. I thought this was Lego? Steve, who is a little tired of technic construction used for everything...
  15. TBB's number worked fine for me. We had a little confusion regarding whether it was city or castle, but it worked out. Steve
  16. I think the roof would look better if it overhung the walls by a stud. I'm not sure I like the red either. Its too blindingly bright, at least in the pictures. Steve
  17. I don't think any price increase is worth it. Unless its a UCS type set. The sets never used to be sorted. Steve
  18. Doing new or old brown (which ever you don't have) should be pretty easy. All you need is Chewie and a head. Dark grey or bley should be easy too. The new Dumbledore has a sandblue torso too... Purple might be tough, as they're discontinuing it. Steve
  19. Does the dwarf come with a beard? Steve
  20. Nope. Its all one piece. Steve
  21. Ah, because I have connections and was able to get them early, so I could show them to you. Steve
  22. Managed to get my hands on the lego batman happy meal toys. Here they are in all their crappiness: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mc.../mcdbatman1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mc.../mcdbatman2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mc.../mcdbatman3.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mc.../mcdbatman4.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mc.../mcdbatman5.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mc.../mcdbatman6.jpg All the rest of the sets are like these. I have the rest but am not bothering to open them... Steve
  23. I thought of a great name for a town, that I don't think had been used, but I can't seem to remember it now... Steve
  24. Geez, that color scheme is terrible. There is hope, as the designs look extremely preliminary. Steve
