Which pieces would you like to see in future pirate sets?
Athos replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Pirates
A globe would be great. Just a simple printed minifig head would be ideal. I'm more interested in new face and torso prints than I am in new pieces. A dolphin would be nice too... Steve -

I think the guy on the left is supposed to be the guy who fires the machine gun in the club. As I recall he had a crazy grin on his face. Steve

Short Round looks like he's tweakin' Other than that the figures look good. Steve

I'm not sure my greenery idea was such a good idea now. I do like the walls with the studs out though. I wonder if black ladders would look better... probably not. Maybe you could hook some foliage onto the ladders, using a doc-ock claw piece. I'd also maybe stick a chrome gold disk up under the peak of the roof to be the star. Then all you need are some brickforge animals and you're all set. Steve

The jester hat and of course the jester that came with it. We've been waiting over 20 years for a jester. Trace's hair is my second choice. Steve

Ah, I see. As a good protestant, I don't know the catechism... Excellent. I look forward to it. The walls are quite interestingly done. You could even stick some more greenery on them to make it more colorful. Steve

Where's Baby Jesus? I'm not sure I like the walls that way. If there is a way to flip, at least the back wall, around, I think it would be much better. Steve

I'd put angrier faces on the knights. It would support your story more. Maybe give the orcs more baggage too? Steve

I've heard a lot of stories of missing parts from this particular set. You think they'd be more careful on set like this, since the disappointment factor is so high... Imagine a child waiting a whole long day to open a new door and when does, the little surprise is missing parts. So far mine has been complete and its been quite fun to have a little Lego set to play with, before heading out the door to work. My wife even comes to watch me open it to see what the surprise is. I hope they continue with Castle (or maybe Pirate) calendars in the future. They're quite fun. Steve

The first Noel the [miniland] angel did say Was to certain poor [miniland] shepherds in fields as they lay In fields where they lay keeping their [miniland] sheep... I bet you can't guess the latest additions to my miniland nativity: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi.../nativity02.jpg And I also redesigned Baby Jesus to something less barrell shaped... We were putting up Christmas decorations and didn't have a nice nativity to display, so I decided to rectify that: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi.../nativity01.jpg While, I'm quite fond of Mary's hair, I'm not real happy with how Baby Jesus turned out, though. Any suggestions? Here's the rest of the gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=355428 Steve

Someone at fbtb knew it. Here it is, if anyone is interested: Steve

Season 1 was good. Season 2 not so much. I think it had to do with the writers strike. So much felt rushed and undone. Certain things that were foreshadowed never really happened. I haven't seen Season 3 yet. Steve

Very cool creation. Where did you get those gold accessories? I'd go with pictures: 1, 5 and 6. Steve

BA seems to have unified the Jewish and Arab people against it. Maybe this means AFOLs can bring peace to the Middle East...? Steve

I'm looking for a song. Or more specifically, a particular version of a song. The song is Sleigh Ride and the version I'm looking for has this really annoying background refrain of 'sleigh bells sleigh bells' between the lines. Its kind of an oldies style. Can anyone help me out? My wife hates it and I'd like to download it to the ipod I'm getting her for Xmas. Steve

A lot of Jedi Starfighters out there... Steve

Athos replied to voltio's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hmmmm, I'm not seeing any such sales. The RGS is only 5% off... Steve -
I did. My wife hid my two copies away until the 1st. Steve

I think this must be the coolest random give-away ever. Great idea. Steve

Which is mightier - Black Seas Barracuda OR Brickbeard's Bounty?
Athos replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
Definately the BSB. Its got the BB outmanned two to one. Plus the BB has to contend with its prisoner and the attacking guards. Plus I think the BSB has 4 cannons to the BB's 3? Steve
