At the moment the Elves sets for next year sound more Castle like than these sets. Starlight Inn, Fire Dragon Lava Cave, Secret Marketplace. At least the Elves get an Inn, dragons and a marketplace.

Any chance that the colours used are just for the preliminary images? really not a fan of the colour scheme especially the orange.

There is still the interest in the classic series otherwise why would they have made it so that in the Lego Dimensions game the Doctor regenerates each time he dies. He goes through all 12 Doctors and the interiors of the Tardis changes with each Doctor. [which is the main reason I'll be getting the game] The 4 sets I suggested to cover the original Doctors also feature characters and villains that have featured in the current series and well known parts of the show. The Bessie car set idea is a bit obscure but i figure Tom Baker will sell anything lol. And we will already have K-9 to go with him. I know theres not much of a chance of there being Classic Doctors sets.. its a wishlist. But everyone is still going to want all the Doctors even if they only make 10,11 and 12.

I'd rather have some classic sets instead of multiple Capaldi and Smith sets. They could release all the first 8 doctors and they would only have to make 4 sets with a main play set 2 doctors an assistant and a villain or 2. 1st and 2nd doctors released with classic console room or tomb of the cybermen. Susan or Jamie and cybermen. 3rd and 4th doctors released with Bessie the car a Unit truck with the Brigadeer and Sarah Jane villains could be Zygons. 5th and 6th doctors released with a Dalek control room. Peri as assistant, white and gold imperial Dalek, grey Dalek and Davros. 7th and 8th doctors released together with Ace. Set is the wooden tardis console. Villain is the Master with reversible head with yellow eyes, a cheetah person. I know that some of these doctors didn't appear with those exact daleks or cybermen but it's a way to release all the main well known villains and the main features of the show.

Why am I now picturing them using the Smaug mould and making him pink lol

There's only been a few larger scale figures in castle sets apart from the dragons. The large ogre/trolls and they were just used as muscle or to pull carts. There's been other themes that have large figures as the main boss. One of the power miners sets had a big figure called the Crystal King. That was a pretty good villain. I have him standing in my castle displays attacking the castle. It's possible the Nexo Knights might get a big figure like him to battle against as well as the golems.

So are the sets actually steampunk themed or just futuristic? The Nexo knight Logo seems to use a lot of silver or is it blue like crystal armour or something. I would have thought copper is more steampunk than silver. The sets also include trans yellow in them. And someone mentioned purple crystalline armour.. Is that right? Is there an overall colour scheme apart from the 5 main figures? I'm guessing if the Jester is in purple and dark grey the evil ones might go with that scheme. Does anyone else think that the Jester can't be the leader. There has to be an evil overlord or someone in charge. C'mon pictures. Waiting for pictures seems to be my current past time lol

Went into my local toystore today asking when the Halloween figures are out. The woman who owns the store had just spoken to the Lego rep.. She told me that the next series of CMF's is Disney characters and she's looking forward to the Peter Pan figure.

So if these are the set names maybe all isn't lost. Just me guessing what the sets might be about. The names sort of makes me think that each character might have their own weapons based on an element. 70130 Knighton Disc Launchers. probably a siege weapon like a giant crossbow that fires discs. 70311 Chaos Catapult. Evil guys version of the above 70313 Moltor's Lava Launcher. Moltor could be a Dwarf- possibly building steam punk creations that fire Lava. 70312 Lance's Robo Horse .. Lance obviously a Knight who possibly rides a clockwork/steam punk robotic horse? 70315 Clay's Blade Cruiser. Hopefully its a chariot and Clay is a Barbarian type figure that uses swords. 70316 Jestro's Companions of Darkness. Jestro probably and evil jester. Doesn't seem like a main badguy but maybe one of the deputies. Comes with a bunch of foot soldiers. I'm not sure what the ulimate part means but hopefully its just the figures single packed with lots of equipment and weapons. 70330 Ultimate Clay- Barbarian hero 70331 Ultimate Macy- The female warrior/Valkyrie type character. 70332 Ultimate Aaron - possibly a wizard 70333 Ultimate Robin- Possibly a version of Robin Hood 70334 Ultimate Monster Masher - Masher a large troll like evil guy. 70335 Ultimate Lavaria- Just a guess but could be a female villain This is all just speculation but its the kind of sets I'm hoping they are. If we have to have a revised version of the Jelly Bean knights hopefully they will use the new colours so we have Robin in Dark Green, others in Dark blue, dark red.

Does anyone else think that the CMF series 14 Banshees hair looks like it was made for a River Song figure?

I have a bunch of seperators.. and thats just whats appeared on my desk in the last few months... I really think Its time they came in a colour other than orange..

Well there has to be something to keep the Historic Theme Forum moving. Lord of the Rings doesn't look like we will get any more sets and there's no new castles theme in sights. I think Elves belongs in this forum. In my opinion I don't like the doll figures but I'll buy the sets just for the other parts and hair. I'm thinking the purple leaves would look pretty cool in a forest scene with black used as the tree trunks. The boat would look pretty good in my collection [after I take off all the flowers]

I've bought every Lord of the Ring set apart from The Tower and i have multiples of most. Lord of the Rings has never been a theme for kids. Most of them are too young to have even seen the movies. Its Kids that Lego is aimed at. I'd say let it go.. Lord of the Rings has had its time. They released some great sets and great figures just appreciate what they did release.

Ok so they sound like they are from the Friends line. but it doesn't mean it wont have some great parts and headpieces. We could have some buildings that are similar to the ones in Rivendell as long as they aren't all pink.

I got Bennys spaceship at Big W Watergardens Vic today.. also saw the new starwars Rebels and the cantina, ninja turtle sets and 3 more Chima sets, as well as all the Arctic sets.

I kind of expected to see more gold and treasure in the set. How is Smaug supposed to bury himself in treasure when it barely covers his foot?

The prospector figure will probably be the one seen in the Lego movie. He wears a hat with a patch on it similar to Stinky Pete from Toy Story and a brown Santa beard and overalls. Just after Bad cop kraggles his parents prospector appeared in the Bar room scene at the front throwing a bottle in the air. The prospector gets knocked out by the barmaid just before Emmet and Wyldestyle enter the bar.

I got my sets of Simpsons figures today at Toyworld. The Simpsons house is due sometime this month.

My local Toyworld has said that they are getting in The Simpsons House next month. Looks like we might be getting more of the exclusive sets in other shops. I wonder if any store is getting The Sea Cow ship.

I mainly collect Lego castles but i do have a few Starwars sets. I've limited myself to only collecting sets from Jabbas Palace or the Cantina. And every year i buy the Starwars Advent calendar. I have a huge collection of Hasbro Starwars figures and didn't really want to start collecting the full range of Lego sets. There's only so much space in a house that you can fill with Lego.

I've seen some of the new Chima sets in Vic. The Wolf and Croc Legends beasts, some of the speedors with the new spiders and a couple of the smaller sets in Target. Big W only seems to have a few of the Speedorz in so far. The new Bat characters look pretty cool.

No there isn't. I don't think that there's an official Lego shop anywhere in Australia.
