MOC: LDD Hornet

It's really cool. I love the black. -
The coupon link is broken.

@UrbanErwin & UrbanErwin: I forgot to mention that I'll do the under details later, I didn't do it on MLCad 'cause I'm not so comfortable with it and the 4 motors was just a fast way to put wheels. My bad for not mentionning it (I did on Flickr). Btw it will have one motor (PF).

[LDD MOC] Custom BMW R100
Svad replied to darsedz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great job -
Last digital version update. Next time in real bricks, so not before a while.

@legoman666: I already have a lot of those 1 x 4 x 3 actually, it's part of what's left from my old 4558 Metroliner. About snotting, this is my first MOC and I'd like to keep it simple, maybe someday I'll try something like zephyr1934 shown. @Duq: No reason, just wanted to be original, put on some colors. I would hope this doesn't tickle your OCD too much.

Well I realized that the 1 x 4 x 3 train window I used doesn't exist yet in light bluish grey either so if I want to build it in real bricks later which I do, my best option is to forget light bluish grey and go for light grey. This way, I can use the 1 x 2 x 2 window I want and the 1 x 4 x 3.

Here's a quick update, I raised the roof by one plate so that the door vent doesn't stick out too much. I also tried to make the front roof more curvy, I did what I could. I included PF: the battery box is placed vertically therefore it takes less space and leaves more room for the passenger seats. The IR receiver is place directly to the side of the battery box and it leaves enough space for a driver seat and control panel. Here's what it looks like: I still have to do inside details, the wheels and whatever you call the engine thing between the wheels. Then I have to do the other car which isn't the exact same.

@eurotrash: Thanks, natural looking is what I was aiming for. @Aeridian: Thanks.

@Duq: I used the 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front (60592) you're talking about at first and it looked better but I'll probably build it in real bricks later and this piece doesn't exist in light bluish grey (I don't want to paint parts nor use another color). If, one day, they make it in light bluish grey, I'll jump on it ASAP. The sticker method is probably my best solution. Thanks. @JopieK: Yes, I'll probably build it in real bricks later. @BEAVeR: Making the roof more curvy is already on my list. About the door vent, I already tried to lower it as much as I can and now the only way to make it better is to raise the whole roof, which I consider doing. I understand what you mean about using the gap, I've already seen it but I'm kind of a stubborn sometimes and I want to have real windows all over the place, not holes. Thank you all for the nice and constructive comments.

Hi, I'm making my first MOC here, I started a few hours ago using MLCad (it's also my first time using a program to build). I'm trying to reproduce a train from my country (Belgium), it's an automotive that I've taken for years and it seemed easy to build for a first time. Here's what it looks like (I've taken the pics at dusk 'cause I thought about it too late, I'll get some better tomorrow): Here's what I came up with for now: What you can see here's 8 stud wide, 7.66 high and about 38 long. My only question for now is: You've probably already faced this problem trying to MOC a train yourself, is there a nice way to get rid of the hole/space caused by the front window on the sides ? (I hope the question is understandable) Thanks for reading/helpingme.

@Leo Crimson: You must have been pissed off when Bosh went to Miami @Eurotrash: I don't really understand what that means (english isn't my native language), but thanks I guess

Age of Steam - Steampunk Figbarfs

God, I'm not into custom minifigs but these are so well done. Love them. -
Little bump to say I really liked your brickfilm, made me smile and laugh more than once :)

Selling it all at once is probably gonna take a while too, not a lot of people can pull out 10k for lego at once. If I was you, I'd sell it as several big lots of about 500-1k euros. Anyway, good luck in selling your collection

@Leo Crimson: Well, I kinda got into basketball (playing around) during the 10-11 season. I decided to follow part of the playoffs so I wanted to find a team to follow but I basically knew nothing about the league except some players like Wade or Shaq. I saw the amazing Heat team and started following them in their playoffs run in 10-11, 11-12 and 12-13. Pretty good choice since they made it 3 times in 3 years to the finals But after watching a lot of James, James, James... I'm really bored of him This summer I really got into basketball, I started playing street games with friends and unknown people met on the court. I wanted to find another team to follow during the whole year (13-14) this time and there's a lot of promising team out there (Rockets, Bulls, Pacers, Clippers, ...). So during the summer I've also watched a lot of games of other teams from the past 2 years. I came up with the Thunder, here's a few reason why: - Ibaka, the 2-time block champion, also has a great mid range shot. - Durant, the 3-time scoring champion, tall and fast, I feel like everytime he shots, the ball gets in. - Westbrook, so athletic (just like my favorite out there: D-Rose). - Harden, not there anymore but I watched most of the Thunder 11-12 playoffs run. - Other players like Sefalosha, Collison, Martin in 12-13, ... - The home crowd. So yeah, all of that to say I'm an OKC fan.

Hi, My name is Cyril but call me Svad :) I live in Belgium. I'm 20 and got back into Lego in the 2012 summer. I was just browsing all sort of nothing on the web (cause iunno, I was bored), looked up the modern Lego set and I ended up drooling in front of the Grievous minifig from set 8095. When I was younger, I had had the old grievous fig which was totally ugly but Grievous is my favorite SW charachter so... I just had to get it. Since then, I got a lot of other lego sets and my father also got into Lego again. He really enjoyed it when he was a child/teenager, he had a small Legotown in his attic. So my father is now a strong AFOL and I'm somewhere between TFOL and AFOL. I'm interested in Trains, Super Heroes (Marvel & Batman), Star Wars and some Technic, Cuusoo and City sets. My father is into Modular buildings and holiday sets but he has also started his own brick store. I recently started posting pictures of what I build, sets or whatever on flickr. Right now, you'll find stuff about trains and the 41999 that I just build. I also like playing basketball (go OKC) and I listen to a lot of music: at the moment mostly metalcore/post-hardcore but I also listen to metal, post-grunge, grunge and dubstep. Thanks for reading me, see you around

Great work, it looks beutiful. As others said, you did a great job with front and rear curves! It's just sad that there's no room for interior details.
