I have seen the tee joint technique several times before, it is becoming quite popular, I've have used it several times myself since the viking wolf set. What I find most unique on this build is the darkgrey phone hip joint *y* I would like some of those phone pieces to play with. Very nice build in all and nice colors as well, but not a very nice demeanor X-D

It wasn't that bad was it? at least I said 1 to 13 instead of 1 to 10 I think it's kind of funny when pianodude2494 gives an out of ten rating on mocs I geuss I'll go work on my sense of humor then :-(

what is my rank on a scale from 1 to 13? :-)

what is the least favorite game you have ever played?
ghoulrealm replied to casewindu's topic in Culture & Multimedia
what! There has to be a worse game for you than that! It was actually one of the better startrek games. :-P The worst games for me is any ball sports games, but that is just because I dislike sports in general. some of the worst were movie\cartoon conversion side scrollers on the super nintendo like wayne's world, beavis and butthead, and ren and stimpy. Gaming companies for the nintendo 64 tried too hard to utilize 3d polygon eviroments and usually failed at creating decent games of that nature, it was the downfall of donkeykong. :-( I also extremely dislike dragon ballz and street fighter because of artistic styles :-X -
Resurrecting The Pirates Theme - a more indepth discussion

I don't think you are refering to the same thing as we are. :S we were talking about the flexable hose pieces on top of the front and sides of the deck. But I always thought the yellow cylindrical pieces represented dried bamboo ;-)

Resurrecting The Pirates Theme - a more indepth discussion
ghoulrealm replied to Berry Syedow's topic in LEGO Pirates
The thoery is they will want to add monsters and skeletons as the antagonist wich is perfectly fine with me. The big problem with monsters associated with the pirate genre is they have already been used up by the aquaraiders and new castle theme and even spongebob's flying dutchman. If the versus mythical mantality persist we may not see anything soon. :'-( Now if were going for realism or historic based sets, I would like to see somethings along the lines of search for Eldorado/fountain of youth, Cortez meets the Aztecs, the adventures of Captain Cook, or Columbus encounters the new world. I know these are not specifically pirate related, but it can be just as interesting and fun. If using historical figures is a touchy subject, I would alter the names and situations to something fictional but with the same feel. And I would love anything dealing with asian pirates and junks. -
I, like Berry Syedow, am not sure what the tubing represents? (perhaps just some tree limbs made into railings?) and yes too many jolly roger patterned flags. perhaps if they were different color flags as if they used cloths to create sails. though, I would stick to all white if I had enough of em. Everything else seems ok to me even the plant decor\shade X-D

I'm usually happy with any ship that isn't city themed :-P As long as it's a cog, longship, any wooden sailing vessel, or even space ship I'll be good :-P And the skeleton title is icing on the cake for me! *skull* I do believe it is most likely a cog or castle themed vessel *knight* "This product will be in stock on Wednesday 01 August, 2007." I predict it'll be a must buy for me

Exactly, but the real question is- What do you do with official minifigs? If you don't use minifigs at all, that is a valid point. Or if you don't like monsters or POTC then it's understandable that you wouldn't want one. _____ Currently I wouldn't buy one, as I have made my own of sufficient quality to my liking :-P although I think your(Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn's) hat is superior to mine or anything else thus far. ;-)

Aha! a movie about a snake on a plane that is actually good X-D I liked the flaps as well. The moc looks very well done and I like the appearance of it better than the toy. Aside from the studs and propeller it could be mistaken for a fairly precise model.

I have a prototype ice dragon I created last night. I was thinking of adding it to a tower that I hope to have ready in time for the latest classic castle contest. I need some opinions on it first. I may go with an entirely different concept, but I'll keep my eurobricks friends informed.

2 at full price and clearance price for the rest. I try to keep an open mind on on every set of any theme. It may or may not be evident at first but most sets have very usefull mocing pieces. I am a little more particular when it comes to the predominate color used in a set. I don't find too many uses for yellow or original red very often. But one can not have too many lego bricks :-P I added brickminer's inspiring credit to my initial post. I always get brickster and him confused *wacko* as they have somewhat similar names and interest. anyway they both made some coaches wich helped to motivate me to make one albeit not western :-P
-
Thankyou for the offer, and some screen captures could be usefull. I am and was quite aware of these coaches from the movies mentioned. When I finally decide to moc a pirate coach I will be using them as reference.

her mouth is kind of cutesy! I'm not so sure I like the gold katanas though.

also spelled shillelagh " refers to a short, gnarled, very hard club usually made from the roots of a large tree. They usually have a knobbed head and double as a walking stick. The shillelagh is a traditional folk weapon among the Irish, and can be quite effective in skilled hands. Leprechauns are often pictured with a shillelagh. " I had one for my leprechaun costume one year, but I make a fairly tall leprechaun. Someone at the halloween party thought I was an ugly pilgrim. :-D

You know, Mr. Phes, The whole time I was thinking of how I could integrate coaches into the pirate theme. Some sort of harbor town setting or officer transport scene would be nice. I don't think it's been done before? *pirate* sorry mateys. I haven't been so active in the pirate forums lately, but sometimes you have to expand your horizons.

Thanks everyone! I'm 30 today and still feel like a kid in a Lego store! X-D Asuka, you are just torturing me with that graveyard duel set pic, because I don't have it yet. :'-(
-
I hate it, :-P but only because it reminds me of yard/field work ;-) I love the construction of it though *y*

Is he holding a shalalee?

Maybe stains and dirt is sentimental to me? It's like badge of honor for all the good times my pieces and I have been through :'-) :-D X-D I'll try it if I can remember to pick up some bleach sometime. ;-) All my cloths are dark or black, even undergarments, so I don't usually get pure bleaches.

no bricklink buys here! I bought quite a few KK small sets mainly for the black armor, but most of the sets had what I'ld consider usefull pieces. at least 7 of... this set I like the purple helmet too, but for form, not so much the purpleness :-X at the time it was only avalable in that color :'-( I bought Potter sets for parts as well. all the white parts are from several various other sets.
-
That's it! I couldn't let that technique go without my spin on it. They are wearing the harry potter goblin vests with white arm replacements.
-
Definately more monsters! I can never have enough speckled black or silver armor/weapons. *knight* A working trebuchet. Cog ships. and the tree idea is good too: for the good side a forestmen like hideout, and for evil a gnarled old dead tree with holes in a scarey face configuration *skull* ... I scared myself X-D The evil tree gives me a good idea for a cool moc. Time to go sort some brown bricks :-)

Iv'e wanted to do something like this for a long time. I was finally inspired enough by brickminer's STAGECOACH HOLD-UP wild west set #6722 and The Bricksters's stage coach to finally realize my dreams X-D first off this was loosely my main reference for form and style. The Romanov Coronation Coach, first quarter 18th century. Now on with the creation the full profile with an escort guard 8-
