You got it! I like the texture and firmness when sculpting small detailed structures. Though as I stated, it doesn't hold up well to handling, especially when shaped and hardened into small detailed structures.

Very cool *y* I do have a couple of questions: What kind if clay do you use? Why is it yellow in the split of the hat? I think he has 1 long hand tentacle. The other 2? are not much longer than his actual fingers might have been.

I will add them to brickshelf then. not sure if I'm going to add a claw peg leg. I need to do something about the color mismacth of the hands as well When my IPS is working, it is quicker and easier to post images from my server. This also results in Eurobricks exclusive views of my mocs :) I will likely add all my mocs images to brickself later.

favorite: angler fish It is simply the best designed brick beast, however I would move the larger fangs forward I would modify every one, but the angler the least of all. most mod: lobster as youv'e seen I've modded the head and and claws. I would also like to curve the tail downward. The legs do fall out way to easily but they look pretty good to me. other creature modding: The crab also needs new claws and maybe legs more like the lobster's the shark could use better eyes and removal of the 'cheek' piece. Not entirely sure what to do with the octopus, but I would probably concentrate on the arms and give it a beak instead of exposed teeth.

I don't know the suspecies name nor can I find some good internet sources on this subject. I think this is an instance in which reference books can be easier\superior to the internet. I need to go to the book store now! the half&half I've seen this before 8-

Thank you. :-$ I also made sure all the legs attached to the thorax as in real insects. Originally I wanted to place the antenae on top. In that case though the top might bulge out more than I'ld like, plus I couldn't think of a good way to do so. :-) I can't seem to find a part# right now. It is from the aquaraiders lobster set on the arms of the vehicle. They are also used in some of those hideously large knight action figs as an armor embelishment.

The typical culinary lobsters at least here in the States are in fact naturally dark brown\greenish. They are the american or maine lobster. There are however several species that are dark and bright red a subspecies of american lobster a spiny or rock lobster It is believed that the red color is a camouflage of sorts, since in the blue light of the sea, they appear black. Yes, I think the eyes are two little. Not too short, but definately too thin.

The mini sea opee is derived of the anglerfish here if you haven't seen it already. As for others, I have played around with the crab but nothing has come from it. And I already have a shark I like better than the aquaraiders version. you may have seen this before as well.

That's very nice and a definate improvement over the original. Do I see some barnicles or are they his syphons?

I was going to try some sort of a brickbuild of Davy, but thanks to Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn I was inspired to create this first. I used a darth sidious head, a tri cornered hat, and the captain redbeard body. I smooshed clay all over it, and this was the result. I used sculpy but it is extremely brittle. I already had to glue him back together, and I am very careful at handling small fragilies.

I just like dragon sail pattern, captains hat, and chrome parts better than the lego original. Do we not condone 'piratical' Chinese companies in our territory? X-D

The main claw parts are from "7705: Gate Assault" mech sholder armor, and body armor from bionicle 8917 barraki called kalmah (2 toned red and black exoskeleton) I curious to know your score for the original design.

My closest target had no last season's lego. They did have many of this seasons products, but no sales as they usually have very little lego stock to begin with. :-(

Thats right, but the lightsaber blades are all varying lengths. I am still playing around with em get em all equal lengths. One turned out fairly stable. Still I wouldn't trust em for transporting biohazards. The cilyndrical might be sufficient though! What's their safty rating? :-D

I wouldn't even have a lit wick near my bricks. Maybe thats really why their faces are so mean lookin'. X-D
