  1. Your longship has run aground on a glacier! :-D And that abominable snow beast looks so real. I thought I could get some good pics on the snow of my Ghostship but the white contrasted to much. The ship was too dark, similar to your pics, though in your case it is a situational moc and not an architectural one.
  2. Milk chocolate with peanut butter! *wub* Battle chocolate on Iron Chef got me interested in maybe trying some savory chocolate recipes. I would also like get my hands on cocoa beans just to try it by itself and experiment with more recipes. I think many desserts and candy is about twice as sweet as it needs to be for my taste, that's one of the reasons I learned to cook for myself. my top four chocoletes are peanutbutter cups brownies (no nuts unless its peanut butter) hersheys bar (also no nuts) snickers candy bar
  3. At first glace I thought you meant take a break from bionicle. :-D I really can't relate directly. I could care less what the backsory is. Even if I was strongly into bionicle, I would create my own storyline from the start. And for the weapons, is it that hard to replace them with something else. Actually I suppose it is a bad move for lego to have backstories, movies, comics, and videogames at all. As for the astetical value, I like these newest sets the best, at least for parts. Never really cared for humanoid biomechaniods, robots, or mechs of any theme lego or otherwise.
  4. I don't think you could ever have too many details, but is still a great village square you have there. *wub* I believe it's called a "half-timbered framework house" or "tudor style house" in english? I've always loved these style houses with or without the cross timbers.
  5. I am working on something with retractable landing struts (xenologer ;-) ) I'm not entirely sure I'll finish in time, but I'll give it a shot.
  6. Even though these are awesome creations, it doesn't mean I will like the color yellow any more. :-P I would like mozzarella better. X-D
  7. Very cool *y* I knew that exo robo leg had good mocing potential. Hopefully this will inspire many more creatures to come.
  8. When I did that I started sorting color then shape. I filled a couple of very large tackle boxes with all the specialty pieces and many of the rest are in 12 organizer shelves. 2 mediun sized totes are for castle parts and two are for pirate pieces. 1 very large tote each for pirate ships, star wars, castle mocs\sets, bionicle/technic. And several large set boxes with misc. things like train or soccer. I only sorted about half of my loose parts so far and that probably took about 2 weeks worth (waking hours)
  9. The boat was rereleased in 4Juniors 7072: Captain Kragg's Pirate Boat I bought two of them because I have high hopes in mocing something interesting from them. I would have prefered brown but black is my second favorite.
  10. Hey, that looks to be 1:1 scale with 4+ pirates! Is it a new set? :-D
  11. What ever you decide please don't add mechs into it. There is already enough mech themed contests. on that note, mecha maybe futuristic but I don't really consider them 'space.' I also agree that you should probably narrow down the parameters of the contest a bit more.
  12. I wish I could take the pics of the evolution for you. I did it slowly but surely: first thing was to remove the legs. Then I added the sand-blue slope peices in a rounded configuration. Then removed the window and added more circular slope configurations all over at angles. I was changing it over a period months, off and on. I don't have a definative back story for my mocs, Although I would assume that these advanced cultures have technologically solved the problems of extreme hull stresses. I would also think a deep sea diving vessel would need little modification to be space worthy, pressure wise.
  13. *y* Yargh! This should be moved to the pirate reference library. X-D I'm afraid I don't like beer, but that's a nice keg (rum or tequila for me)
  14. I personally think the more organic look is the best thing to happen to bionicle ever. The second best thing is the "systemized" versions (not sure exactly what the mini version sets are called). I don't particularly care for most official builds, but are great for mocing parts. I've noticed that quite a few complaints were about the storyline? *wacko* Too much emphasis is placed on the story! I thought one of the major values of the LEGO company was to use your imagination. So even if your not mocing with parts you can at least invent your own story no mater what the writers, comics, or movies say. I've never cared for any theme's comics and threw them away. :-P
  15. One of the slope pieces popped off of the rear "wing" and I didn't realize it until after I uploaded it to brickshelf :-D I was going to wait until I could fix that and take better pics to post these, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon so I went ahead with it as is.
  16. I believe this is my favorite of all your siege equipment as well! Lord of the Rings was the first thing I thought of when I seen the wolf head ;-) And in the spirit of The Lord of the Rings I think you need a Norse troll to man it. anything to get more monster/creature mocs :-P
  17. You may have already seen these mocs floating around in some of my previous posts. I thought it was time to finally give them their own topic. this was quick photoshop background inspired by the new space skin. I'm not completely happy with the star field nor the jet trail yet. this is an image of the pilot and a version of the ship without large engines on the sides. The alien minifig is an attempt at making something as unusual as possible and still using minifig person pieces. The ship evolved from the Life on Mars Set # 7313-1: Red Planet Protector The brickshelf folder is here.
  18. These are 2 of the best Trek mocs out there, even though there are only a hand full of trek mocs that are any good at all. I will admit it is most difficult to create a decent looking ship in lego. Color aside, I think your bird of prey, maybe not perfectly, captures it well.
  19. What is the piece that holds the feet at 3 equal angles?
  20. you need some oxen to transport all these masive siege engines.
  21. *y* Those would be awsome, if I only liked mechs. They are just the right size, though :-)
  22. Actually, I prefer the the traditional "fleshless" faces *skull*
  23. I know. ;-) I was just expressing my dislike of digital lego in a somewhat related topic. What I wasn't quite sure of is wether you want us to pick only from your 6 choices, or list our own top choices. And if you are planing on creating a MOC for us based on the response.
  24. nice work! *y* If you do add those animals, don't forget to put them in his sleeping bag. >:-)
  25. I think Halo of those choices, if we could get some nice Covenant ships and vehicles. Of the games not listed, I would choose Castlevania, Age of Mythology, Goemon, or Tomb Raider, although the latter is fairly close to the adventures theme. I'ld rather see games in Lego brick form than Lego in videogame form :-X . I'm sorry, but i think Lego should stick to bricks.
