From a moccing standpoint, I would use more black than red peices. Not sure, but I think I see more rare curve type pieces on the roadster. As the main models I only like the roadster slightly more than the Ferrari.

May I suggest theme sub categories within the Moc forum. This maybe a bit extreme and much work, but it would make for more orginized browsing. Possibly start off with a "brickshelf finds/other's creations" category. For now, I'm guessing you want us to post all unofficial Lego creations within the Moc forum? aside from space/pirate mocs, since they already subforums ofcourse. Speaking of space mocs and categories, I think mechs should be seperate from space.

A jaw for 7015 Viking Warrior challenges the Fenris Wolf
ghoulrealm replied to Asuka's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I've had similar concerns regarding moc post placement, as I've had my star wars creature moved out of the theater category. I don't mind this at all, but if there is a policy regaurding this, please let us in on it. A similar situation, in the pirate universe, was cause enough for it's own moc forum. Maybe we can consider this for some of the other subforums, if it is warranted. _____________________________________________ As for the wolf mandible, simple yet effective. *y* If I hadn't disassemmbled the wolf parts for other brick beast, I would have modified mine in this way. -
If you can help me work out the 'bugs'.

I've added more dark red elements to my favorite crab moc, including "painted" parts. Coloring dark grey with a red sharpie marker perfectly macthes Lego's dark red, but it is wiped off easily when handled. :( I was going to place all my crab mocs here, but since a horseshoe crab, even a giant one, wouldn't be much pose much of a threat to pirates, I've placed it here.

I wouldn't add any sails. I would lower the mast, or all the sails to a yardarm lower and not have a royal yard.

Try to distance yourself as thinking of it as a bionicle element. :-)

I said yes, but before I read "someone" and in that case I would have to see it. If made by Lego I wouldn't hesitate. Otherwise I would try to make them myself, and I will do so, if I ever get back on track with my flying ducthman. I'll try some brickbuilt designs and minifig shuffling before I use clay molding though.

Exactly! I would like to do something similar to PepaQuin's mini gungan sub is a bit large, but fairly close in scale with my opee. I'm also up for as many monsters, aliens, and animals as we can get!
-
Excellent use of slopes throughout the ship and especially at the stern! I for one like the length as is, although I would lower all the the sails to counteract the height to length ratio.

I don't have a reliable access to a camera, but I'll see what i can do.

That's fine. I put it in theater because it is a Star Wars creature. I hate to question the Master, but you realized that, did you not? *yoda*

I don't know what happened for three minutes after he said it was ironic that there was a picture of dynamite on the piece of wood. X-D X-D :'-) :-D :-D rotfl! And again when he said " let's show em why our faces is aways mean."

All of my arthropods of late have been crustations. It was about time I give the world of insectica their just due. This is my first and hopefully not last insect creation..... an ant. I'm not intirely happy with the colors, but it's the best I could do for now.

This is is just a few modifications to the lobster of set 7772, specifically of the head and claws. The original wasn't bad, but I felt it could be much better. I still think the tail should curl under rather than upward, but that is an alteration for another time.

I wanted to create some more creatures for the pirate theme, but I believe I've strayed too far from that theme with some of the lateset creature creations I'm working on. Now more directly on the topic at hand.... What kind of crab is Carapar based upon, you might ask? Well... it turns out, he is a horseshoe crab. examine the evidence for yourselves. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ghoulrealm/brick-built-beast/horseshoecrab/horseshoecrab6.jpgimg]

Before the aqua raiders sets were released I was trying to recreate some of the models with the pieces i had available. When I attempted the angler fish all I had was dark red, and I thought this would make a great sea killer moc. So without further adieu here it is.... hope you like! *yoda*

Is the '07 Castle a step in the right direction?
ghoulrealm replied to Echo's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm voting better than classic, due to the ghoulish army, horses, and metalic colored elements. I like the actual castle designs about the same as classic.
