Looking great, and I'd love to see more. Do you have a link to the Flickr gallery?

Pictures of the upcoming LOTR sets are now popping-up everywhere (from one of the Toyfairs). Here you find a link to toyark.com where you find a bunch of them.

I have no clue what this can be... For me Eurobricks is running fast. Also our server logs are not showing any issues.

This is being discussed by the staff but here's my view: When someone posts a MOC on Eurobricks we are OK if there's one line included in the topic with a link to the project on CUUSOO. This way our members know where to find the project on CUUSOO and can place a vote if they like. But the prime focus of the EB topic should be discussing the MOC and not gathering CUUSOO votes! If we feel people are abusing Eurobricks for getting CUUSOO votes the staff will take action. Exceptions may be allowed after per-agreement with the staff on individual basis. The immediate danger I want to address is people starting to 'spam' our forums with "support this on CUUSOO" threads. I don't have a final response, but right now the staff is having some discussion concerning CUUSOO. At this moment we don't have any plans related with CUUSOO or plan any special projects (indexes, etc.) around CUUSOO. It's still a rather new 'phenomenon' and I'd like to see how it will look once the initial dusts drops down.

We already have MOC indexes and people can look on CUUSOO to find out what's there. Not sure why we need an index (which is taking a good deal of effort to maintain).

WW Category 2: 1908 Wild West Town

Some time ago marshal_banana won our Spaghetti Western competition with a stunning (modular) Western Town. He's now doing pretty well on CUUSOO, so let's help him make the 10.000 votes for this MOC to be considered by LEGO for production. Who wouldn't a new Western Theme that comes with a Western Town where each house can be bought as an individual set? Wanna help out and remind LEGO how much we want Western to return? Go here on CUUSOO to cast your vote! EDIT: And now Brickset is teaming up with Eurobricks to see if we can get this to LEGO Review status at Cuusoo by achieving 10000 supporters. If the Minecraft community can do it for their chosen model, so can the online LEGO community! VOTE NOW!!! EDIT2: There's Gambort joining our little experiment on The Brothers Brick EDIT3: More sites in the LEGO community are supporting: Toys N Bricks, Classic-Town and Railbricks. EDIT4: Our very own Classic-Pirates and Star Wars Blog both jumped on the train! EDIT5: 2500 supporters reached - Lets see if we can do that number x4 EDIT6: 3000+ supporters reached! If there are other communities out there willing to support, your help is much appreciated! Go here for more pictures and vote for your favorite building

WW Category 2: 1908 Wild West Town
Bonaparte replied to marshal_banana's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hi TheWarden, the answer is already provided by Richie, but let me add some words. We've now been without a western theme for way too long and personally I'd love to see the theme rise again from the ashes. Being able to build a complete Western Town based on a number of smaller sets (each set containing one 'house') would be something I'd be willing to spend my $$$ on and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I'm kinda using this stunning MOC to help LEGO realize it's time for more Western sets. -
I've restored the picture by hosting a copy on Eurobricks (see our frontpage).

Thanks to our member October for sharing a link to Kocke which contains a nice picture of the LOTR sets from the German Toy Fair. I think the castle is looking extremely good Link and discussion are here.

Happy B-day Kim!

Are there are members out there who go to events like Toy Fair and alike? If yes, would any of you be willing and able to take pictures and write an "event report" for Eurobricks? Basically we are trying to find out if there are members willing to become our official event reporters. The structure of such a report should be comparable to a LEGO set review: a combination of text and pictures which give a general impression of an event and zoom in on some of the goodies (new sets revealed, special MOCs, etc.).

In my mind these mobile devices - which would require a 'special version of the site', like the various smart phones - are not well suited for typing a lot of text and comments (small keyboard, hard to type more than one sentence). So I don't see them as ideal devices for participating on a site Eurobricks. In my mind these smart phones and alike are good for the 'mobility aspect': when you are out of the house for checking train schedules, shop directions,... . If we tune the site for being more 'smart phone friendly', wouldn't this open the door for shorter posts? (remember: short reply - send from Blackberry...).

As an exception I'll leave this here for a few days before moving it to our "Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds" forum.

Wonderful ship the USS Reliant with it's nacelles under the saucer section as opposed to the Constitution class (like the Enterprise) having the nacelles above the saucer section. Seeing your MOC makes me want to watch again some of these fine Star Trek movies! These Federation ships with the big round dish section are really hard to build in LEGO and you've managed to make it look pretty much perfect, yours looks just like the real thing majQa'

Instead of pinning a lot of stuff I much more prefer the approach we took in our pirates forum where one pinned thread contains the overview for all the other stuff: check it. Pinning means scrolling down to see the first real thread and that's rather annoying. The road of pinning many threads goes straight to hell

It doesn't happen every day when a MOC gets a lot of attention outside the typical LEGO communities and 'makes it' in the real world. However, this is what happened with Yatkuu's MOC "The Winchester - Shaun of the Dead" which was highlighted on dozens of non-LEGO sites and still continues to draw more attention. Check this topic on our forums for reading the amazing journey this MOC, or even better vote on LEGO CUUSOO if you like to see it in your own home one day.

"LEGO Licensed" Forum description
Bonaparte replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in Forum Information and Help
The remark you make raises an interesting point. How many people know exactly what's covered by (for example) 'Disney'? -
I can tell you that Estonisa is not in their destinations list, so 99% sure the answer is NO. In the future, please check for these kind of questions at Shop@Home or call the LEGO customer service (we're not a LEGO helpdesk )

A most piratical introduction
Bonaparte replied to Captain Blackbeard's topic in Hello! My name is...
I must say your post comes of as aggressive and negative calling us a 'bloody website' only just being here. You will find your answer here. -
Good suggestion, a bit of consistency can never hurt.
