  1. I see the pictures... The elephant costs >17 EURO on Bricklink. Finding the set (with box) for 22 EURO was a good deal.
  2. Yes, it is most certainly inspiring. And it also shows that a good review is timeless: I can be discussed and viewed by people over many years. This elephant is one the best LEGO animals ever made. However, it's rare and expensive these days. The set I could find second hand for 22 EUR.
  3. I bought one of these sets yesterday at LEGO World. I'm totally in love with the amazing elephant
  4. Amazing ship (even better than the first one), worthy of our Eurobricks frontpage. If you feel something is inappropriate, please use the report button so a moderator can look into it. We don't want members to mini-mod and tell other members what's inappropriate and what's not. Thanks!
  5. Lady Guinevere by Derfel Cardarn: Picture is link to discussion (with lots more pictures)
  6. I really love the result you could achieve with these digital programs. I was always thinking the stuff you can do with these programs is less than what you can do with real bricks, but still you managed to find great solutions and make the ship look very good. I'd love to see it in real bricks one day.
  7. Nice pictures! I look forward seeing it all with my own eyes on Sunday.
  8. End of November our Belgium LUG (BeLUG) again organizes the Brick Mania Event in Antwerp (Berchem). This time I'll be there together with Captain Green Hair all Sunday showing some of our historical sailing ships. For sure you'll see the Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion, HMS Prince of Wales, the French Navy Xebec and some other ships. We'll also show a new ship that has not yet been posted or shown anywhere (a French frigate of 24 guns). For me it will be the first time I'm displaying MOCs at an event, so I'm very exited! More info: BeLUG.be
  9. I'm glad this has been worked out. And yes, seems you are the guinea-pig. I was hoping to be that pig, but you were faster
  10. Great! I'll send you PM in the coming days to work out the details
  11. No problem, I'll check the next 2 people on the list being Etzel and Christian. Etzel, Christian, would you be ok for the chalet? So we'll be there with Quarryman, Etzel, Christian, myself and a colleague of mine (Filip).
  12. I think you are the first one that's booking. Let me know how this goes. If there's a problem for the discount, and it's not being resolved fast, then put me in copy of your email with the camping and I'll help sort this out. I have made all agreements with Hanne Johnsen. She told me via email "In the E-mail please referee to Eurobricks Lego event – then we can offer you a discount of 10% on the price of the chalet".
  13. Just for my records, how many are you in total?
  14. Great, so we already are with 5 persons (I'll come with +1), so we could book our first chalet. Is this OK for you Quarryman and Superkalle? If yes I'll get in touch with you via PM. I'll be chalet responsible, so you can both pay to me and I'll pay to the camping. Of course if you like you can always switch places when we are there (up to you), but for now we could get the chalet booked.
  15. I've just created the sign-up thread (it's pinned in this forum). If you come with your family and would like an entire chalet you can move ahead with the reservation. Once reserved you are sure the chalet is booked for you and your family. Let us know how many you are in the sign-up thread and the status of your reservation so we'll have the overview.
  16. Before you sign-up, please carefully read this: EB Event Billund 2012 Once you have have signed-up you should closely follow this topic as we'll work out who'll share a chalet and who'll be the chalet responsibles for each chalet. So stay tuned! In this sign-up topic you should confirm your attendance to the event: - Number of persons (e.g.: just you or will you bring family/friends)? - Are you coming for the entire event (arriving Wednesday evening, going back Sunday morning)? If not, pls indicate when you arrive/leave. - Would you volunteer to be a 'chalet responsible'? (we'll decide later who'll actually be one) - Any other remarks? Note1: If you come with your family and would like an entire chalet you can move ahead with the reservation. Once reserved you are sure the chalet is booked for you and your family. Note2: In theory you can still sign-up and reserve chalets till the event starts, but the number of available chalets is limited. So once you are sure you'll come we'll try to group people in chalets and get the reservations going. ######################################################### Overview of the confirmed eventees: 1/ Bonaparte - entire event -> Chalet #2: Booked 2/ Quarryman - entire event -> Chalet #2: Booked 3/ Superkalle +1 - entire event -> Chalet #4: Booked 6/ Christian - entire event -> Chalet #2: Booked 7/ Holodoc - entire event -> Chalet #3: Booked 8/ Dfenz +3 - entire event -> Chalet #1: Booked 9/ Teddy +1 - entire event -> Chalet #3: Booked 10/ KimT - entire event -> Chalet #4: Booked 11/ CopMike - entire event -> Chalet #4: Booked 12/ Ras - entire event -> Chalet #4: Booked 13/ Morten - entire event -> Chalet #4: Booked 14/ Eiker86 - entire event -> Brings a tent 15/ Peppermint_M - entire event -> Chalet #3: Booked 16/ Henning M. -> takes care of own accommodation 17/ Aredhel - entire event -> Chalet #3: Booked 18/ snefroe - entire event -> Chalet #2: Booked 19/ marcosbessa -> takes care of own accommodation 20/ Front -> takes care of own accommodation 21/ Duq +1 -> takes care of own accommodation 22/ Lasse D -> takes care of own accommodation 23/ Stoffer70 - Friday/Saturday -> takes care of own accommodation 24/ Comwiz -> takes care of own accommodation 25/ Rufus and Pandora -> booked their own chalet 26/ Ecclesiastes - entire event -> Chalet #2: Booked 27/ Cecilie +1 - entire event -> takes care of own accommodation 28/ Calanon +1 - entire event -> booking their own chalet Total confirmed: 35

  21. Zorro would have love this Commodore! I'm glad people still remember Zorro and what a special person he was. I'll try to stop by his mother in the near future to show her this thread and also the MOC that was made in Zorro's honor at Brickworld.
  22. I'm going there on Sunday 23rd of October together with a very nice Eurobricks delegation.
  23. Glad you are coming! And of course it's no problem at all bringing a friend.
  24. Please resize the pics since we don't allow pics that are bigger that 800x600px. Need help? Check the tutorials in my signature!
  25. Yes, it still exists and will probably never be broken down.
