Eventualy I found a picture of a "new flintlock". This one is black, but they also seem to exist in brown. Till now, I only have "old flintlocks". I'm uncertain if I like these new ones and if I want to mix them with the old ones.

I like it a lot! That spinning machine is very original. This MOC has many usefull details (that I can use :-)).

It seems there are 2 models of the brown Flinklock musket. I wanted to buy some on Bricklink and found out that a certain seller added "New design" to the description. When I asked the seller what the difference is with the "old design", the answer was: "The older guns have a smooth indentation in the rifle butt, the newer ones have a triangle cut out each side". Does anyone of you guys have some more info or pictures of these differences? I would like to know some more details before ordering.

Yes, from one seller located in Belgium (Ghent). I already bought from him a few times. He's a really friendly person. He had just the number of guards that I wanted.

Thats right. We just love it! Who cares about money ;-) My girlfriend will spend it anyway on some useless stuff, so I better spend it first.

I agree with that. I just love these little scenes where people (minifigs *sweet* ) are doing all kind of stuff. And this MOC is full of such scenes (inside the tavern, the governor!, two guys doing some secret deal,...).

I paid $5 per Imperial Guard, so that's $500 total. But my currency is euro :pirate4: so that is about 400 euro.

I didn't receive any response for 1 week on my offer. So I have canceled my offer for the 3 napoleonic armies. I have lost faith in a this (non-responsive) seller. Out of frustration I have just bought 100 Imperial Guards on Bricklink. This will give my English army a serious boost.

I can't decide which one I like most: or or My least favorite.... here it is difficult to choose between one of the KK2 figs, they are all so ugly :-) Maybe this ugly creature:

Does this mean that the ship has been destroyed? Can you tell us something about the sails of this ship? What material did you use? Happy you could join us!

You can use them how you like. Thats the beauty about these figs! They can be French line infantry, British line infantry or by changing the color of the epaulettes/legs they can become British naval officers, French light infantry, ....

Very nice MOC. I love the details. The flowers are nice too. They give the MOC a female touch ;-) Can you give us an idea of the plans you have?

You're right about the fact that it is in in none of the sets, but it should be ! I think the one with the blue epauletes looks good but its not historic correct.

Do you have some experience with a graphical program Mr. Kahuka. Maybe you can try to design some custom islanders and even recreate the original ones. So we can add a section about islanders in the torso-library. I know I promised to try to design some islanders but i seem to have little time these days..

Don't they both have 4 guns? But the guns of the SES are turnable (what I real don't like!!!). The SES has more gunports (4 on each side). The ships have the same amount of hull-mid-sections but the SES gives the impression to be to be a bit bigger.

In which thread did you read this Sir Norrington? And who are broadside and de marteniet (maybe some characters from POTK?)? Well, I learned a new word: grunts :-) Maybe it is better to add this discussion to this thread: Imperial Guards: Bluecoat and redcoat uniforms, who they really are!

I prefer the Black Seas Barracuda. Why? It is easy to convert from pirate ship to imperial guards. Just change the flag and the crew. There is something wrong with the colors of the Skull's Eye Schooner. I don't like the green. I wonder what your motivation is Mr. Phes. Why do you prefer the Skulls Eye Schooner (you seem to be the only one)?
