I do have a very nice job (working for Alcatel-Lucent) and I still live with my parents, so my only expenses are beer and Lego :-D . But next year that might all change because I will start building a house, so I might not be able to spend so much on Lego in the coming years ... Thats why I'm just buying all the things I want now (and this was on the top of my list for a long time).

I'm thinking on a structure like Classic-Castle. A website that with newsflashes, links to tutorials, ... While this forum is the place for discussion with a link from the website. But then some more structure is needed in the pirate forum. In my humble opinion it would be better to have the "Lego pirates" forum and the "Pirate LEGO MOCs" on the same level. The first page of the forum should not contain any posts, just an overview (like CC). Of course, these are my thoughts for the future and I don't want to offend any of the administrators who have put much hard work into this forum to bring it to where it is today.

That's a big ship you are building. How long are you working on it already? Nice to see the hull made from bricks. I would love to see some pictures with a full crew. My favorite part is the bow. That looks really awesome.

You're maybe right about the grouping. I will give it some more thought. One remark: Normally the library is only for posting torso's, discussions like these should be done this thread. Don't worry about it. You're new here ;-) .

Today I received my biggest bricklink order ever ... Here's a picture of the package: And what's inside: - 102 Imperial Guards - 1 Imperial Guard Admiral - 3 Imperial soldiers - Swords, some muskets, some epauletes, ... I will use these as a basis for my English army. This brings my total English army strength to 135 Imperial Guards, 4 Imperial Guard Admirals, 10 riflemen. Once the army is operational, I will post pictures in the MOC forum. Afterwards I plan some battle scenes with my French army.

Do you mean these ones oo7? I have already added them a long time ago. I added them under "Official pirates/sailors" since they are official designs that can be used a sailor. Maybe I have to give the structure of the library some more thought since it seems not so straightforward to find something. I think Sir Lego Scott has made some POTK torso's. If he did, I added them to the library but I never watched POTK so I wouldn't know which ones the are :-$

How do you define "best" Mr. Starwars Lego? What exactly is the time-period you mention? Must I be a set that's currently still available in the shops?

You can use a freeware program called Irfanview to resize your pictures. If you need help, here is a tutorial. Then you can select a better picture to show your MOC.

This could be a marketing strategy. Preparing the audience for your MOC without actually showing it :-)
