  1. I liked you better in "thinking-mode" X-D
  2. Very ambitious Mr. Tiber. I had the same idea after watching the men-o-war animation. But when I found out how difficult it was, I gave up the idea. Maybe you have more persistence then me...
  3. I think this item should be moved because its not about a pirate MOC (and this is the Pirates Lego MOC forum). Anyway, you're new here and I made (and make) a lot of mistakes myself ;-) . Is Lego Island a PC game? What's it about?
  4. Well, the Archeron is also a fine ship Mr. Tiber! Which one had the most guns?
  5. A beautiful sight to see all these cannons lined up! It's sad to know that this mighty ship rests at the bottom of the sea.
  6. Well, at this moment it is only possible to buy the newest model on Bricklink when you need about 200 pieces and want to buy them from 1 seller. I send some emails to sellers who didn't make a remark about the model and it turned out they have the new model. So it will be difficult to avoid the new model since most sellers are not aware of the difference.
  7. That's a cool ship indeed ;-). It deserves a thread for its own (and so we don't get to much "off topic" in this thread). But I would first resize those pictures first. Even with my 4M ADSL-line it takes very long. Another remark for Mr. Phred: When you reply to a msg, it seems you are missing some part (the open quote) for some reason. Example of what you miss:
  8. Done! Are you using a newsreader or just working with the webinterface?
  9. Thats looking very good. Very useful for everyone that's building ships. I would like some more details on how to build this. Are we so easily offended? Nobody has been killed yet ;-) Your post is just perfect with a clear and resized picture!
  10. Having seen both of them, would you advise to buy the new ones or do you think the old ones look better?
  11. Happy to hear that. You have come to the right place for discussing pirate lego! Your ship is colorful indeed and it has a nice pirate touch. What is that little building on the deck? The pictures are a bit big to post them in the thread. Maybe you can you this tutorial of Mr. Phes to resize them.
  12. I also registed. Waiting for confirmation mail. I noticed however that there is no link to this forum on the pirate newsgroup. But there is still a link to the obsolete PirateBricks.com. Maybe we can ask Richie Dulin to add a link?
  13. I was checking my muskets last night and I have no new models (out of 250 pieces).
  14. I never understood how Lugnet works. What is the difference with a forum? It looks complicated to me.
  15. I agree that the old model looks better. Some bricklink shop has +700 pcs of the new model. I wonder in which sets that are?
  16. Is there a doctor on the forum? :-) Mr. phred, is there already a thread about you ship in the MOC forum? I can't really see the details (get an error on mocpages: Query for cookie hit tracking failed).
  17. Good to hear that. I'm sure you can learn how to make a beautiful islander torso. I suggest that you start by recreating the official islander torso's. Start by taking a look at this link. Only problem might be that you will need a graphical program. I use Coreldraw 12 and Corel Paint Shop Pro X. What graphical programs do you have on your PC?
  18. I doubt if Baronsat would agree, since he's already commercializing his set himself. I understood that the purpose would be to make the selected set available on the official online Lego shop. But I won't harm to ask him.
  19. You are right Mr. Phred. I have already been trying to think out of the hull :-). Check this brickjournal op page 27-28: http://media.peeron.com/brickjournal/brickjournal3.pdf It's about a ship made by Richie Dulin called "The Miserable". It uses standard lego hull mid-sections, but they have been cut in the middle to make the ship wider. I'm considering this "technique" for my future ship.
  20. I'm making a little table with some combinations to make historic correct mini-figs. I still have to expand it with some British naval figs. Feel free to give your idea's for expanding the table.
  21. Actually, I did :armada1: . But I posted this in the original thread Massive Napoleonic Armies for sale, On Classic-Castle.com.
  22. I also bought recently some 50 imperial soldiers for my French army and I have only 30 muskets for them. I might even buy 200 muskets to have some spare ones.
  23. Yes, yesterday I have bought 100 Imperial Guards. That why I need to buy muskets.
  24. No, but thanks for your efforts Mr. Phes! Now that we have the pictures, I'm wondering if I should buy these new ones (a certain BL seller has about 700 pcs, and I need about 120) or if it would be better to buy the old ones (like all the ones I already have). In the second case I have to buy from different shops or buy them more expensive.
  25. Now I found a new brown flintlock picture: And this is a better picture of an old brown flintlock: What could be the motivation of TLC to make a change to the design?
