  1. And hereby the contest is officially finished. Thanks for all wonderfull entries. I'll soon launch a voting topic.
  2. I'm checking with Hinckley if such an anniversary logo can be made.
  3. Super nice ship, I love it! Spanish Armada is simply one of the best theme's ever. While it lived a short life it's great that MOCs like yours remind us it existed.
  4. There are only 3 activities where we have the limitation, so for all other activities there's no problem at all to bring more people to the event. You are noted down with +2, and I leave it up to you to decide who those 2 will be out of the people that come with you. As long as it are never more that +2 for the activities that have the restrictions in number as those activities are fully booked. We're flexible Thanks!
  5. That should work out ok as the airport is really small and close to the village where we stay
  6. For those who already arrive on Wednesday we plan a group dinner at 19h (at Lalandia - this restaurant).
  7. Not yours, but the +x people. I'll just be calling you Chocolatecake at the event We need to have a name (or something) to call them when we check if everyone is present.
  8. For few activities during the day we have to split into smaller groups as we can't do all activities with a group of 52 persons. Each group has a 'group leader' who's to make sure the group gets at the right place at the right time. The group leaders I've selected are people who've been to Billund many times and (should) know their way around. IMPORTANT: I'll be needing the names of all the +1's, +2's and +3's, so please share them here in this topic. Here's are the 4 groups: Group 1: Bonaparte (group leader) Scubacarrot Christian Rufus and Pandora Cwetqo +2 Redhead1982 Aredhel Chocolatecake I Scream Clone Rick Group 2: Copmike (group leader) Superkalle Skalldyr Ace and Cecilie Quarryman Legogal and Hubby Ecclesiastes Eiker 86 Morten Peppermint_M Vincent Kessels Group 3: Holodoc (group leader) MstrOfPppts Miss Kyle +1 Ras 74 Mechamike Etzel Rolli +1 Teddy and Petra Dfenz and Bfenz Group 4: Snefroe (group leader) Jim +3 Whitefang + Belun Henning M. Brickthing Duq = DaisyDuq L@go Calanon Lasse D
  9. Hi everyone, With the event getting closer, are you all getting exited? There hasn't been a lot of communication by myself or Copmike about the event, but we have been working hard behind the scenes together with our contacts at LEGO. We have made a lot of progress and expect to finalize all the arrangements and planning in the coming weeks. With such a large group as we have this year we'll be making a super detailed planning so you all know where to be when. With 20 to 30 people at an event we could still do some improvisation on the spot, but with 50+ that won't work well. For those who already arrive on Wednesday we plan a group dinner at 19h (at Lalandia - this restaurant). Go event
  10. I'm viewing the site a lot on my iPad and I have never missed a dedicated App for the forum. The screen resolutions of nowadays tablets and smartphones is so high that I don't see the need for such App (or even for a mobile version of the site).
  11. Module = one set of a team entry. So per team you can post 20 pics (10 per set/module). But that's a maximum, so you can post less pictures.
  12. I'm so very very sorry to read about this. I wished there were words I could write that could take away some of the pain. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  13. Let's have one extension of 2 weeks, putting the final deadline at 15th of March, 12PM CET.
  14. Answers: 1. It have to be technic pins (see contest rules) 2. There's no minifig limit, but there's a total set prize limit set, so you are limited by that, meaning you have to include a reasonable amount of figs as LEGO would do for a set of this size.
  15. Great contest entries! It really shows you have been synchronizing your designs by the very uniform look of both of your entries. I love the details, I love how the fortress comes in specials shapes (making it not a dull square), ...
  16. Cara, the aim is 700 pieces +- 100. I'm ok being flexible on this unless it's obvious it's using a lot more pieces. The entry of Simon_S is ok size/piece wise.
  17. I'm pretty sure Huw takes regular backups of his site, so no worries.
  18. And a valuable lesson is learnt: log in on Eurobricks EVERY DAY :-)
  19. There's no rule imposing any restrictions of that sort, so feel free to share.
  20. The thing is that not everyone will have the ability to do this, so for the voting topic I'll be using 2 pictures, one of each set. But of course you can add such a combined picture (e.g. made with photoshop) in your entry topic.
  21. My plan is to have 2 pictures per entry inside the voting thread, and add a link to the entry thread where all the pictures can be seen. So there's no need to try to make one shot with both sets.
  22. Actually, you have inspired me to do this contest when you worked together for your winning D2C contest entry (Attack on the Nile).
  23. Australia is a very big country, like the US, so another state will be fine (US gets the same deal - see contest rules) That's entirely up to you and your (future) partner. But keep in mind that the contest is decided by public vote.
  24. Next time I'll just provide a piece count instead of price point as indeed prices vary a lot per country. In any case, aim at 700 pieces +- 100.
  25. A new contest started recently in the Pirates forum and it's still possible to participate. Have a look here for the concept, rules and prizes.
