LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Tom Jurassic replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very good points raised, BigEl. My only question then, is who do you think they would include with it? I feel perhaps a Movie-accurate Cody is an accurate bet. I can't see it including yet more Kashyyyk troopers when we've seen them in about 4-5 sets now over the past couple of years. -

Thinking about the Clone Turbo Tank as a set, does anyone believe that it could be another dip into the Clone Wars franchise? At first I assumed it would be based around the Battle of Kashyyyk but considering the plethora of sets surrounding it, and the fact that we have already seen Commander Gree released in the AT-AP, I am likely to believe that it would be Clone Wars based. This would then make me be hopeful that we could potentially see a Phase II Commander Cody released with this set, as I could see LEGO either making it appear as if the Turbo Tank is on Utapau, or from a scene in the Clone Wars. Not only would we get a sought-after Commander, but we could potentially see the 212th Troopers from the Battlepack reused here, similar to how the Kashyyyk troopers and scouts have been reused since. Just a theory and something I would like to see, as if it is indeed Clone Wars based, then we could see the new-style Obi-Wan from the Exclusive BARC Speeder set with Rex reused here. Does anyone have any information on the nature of this set? I'd like to hope it may be a dip back into the Clone Wars franchise, however it is possible we could see an Imperial version of the Turbo Tank (Similar to the Police gunship) through the Rebels TV Show in-between now and the release of this line of products. -
I'd definitely recommend it buddy. The AT-RT isn't the best build, but a few minor mods would probably allow you to tweak that. The camouflage on the Clones looks really awesome, and it's nice to have more camouflaged Clones in my opinion, as it adds even more individuality then the colors on troopers like the 212th Battalion too. :)

Bought two of the Senate Commando Battlepack and one of the Geonosis Clone Trooper Battlepack, will leave little thoughts below Senate Commando Battlepack - I always had a strange fascination with these guys back when the Clone Wars was on TV, so getting a four-pack of them was really a no-brainer. I think the Blue color used is beautiful in matching their on screen appearance - definitely the perfect choice from LEGO's color pallet. I also think the Micro AV-7 is a really nice little build and pretty accurate for the scale tbh. Geonosis Trooper Battlepack - OH MY GOD THE CAMO I never got any of the Kashyyyk troopers so being my first experience with LEGO's digital camouflage printing, I can say I am very impressed. I see these as the evolution of the ARF troopers from the 'Landing At Point Rain' Clone Wars arc. The AT-RT isn't too bad too but the figures are just outstanding. Very happy with both packs, and to be getting back into collecting the Star Wars line!

Okay, after cleaning up some *ahem* mess *ahem* off my laptop screen, man I am in love with these Civil War sets! Only three means easy purchases and justification to get all three, so that definitely makes me happy. Black Panther Set The Jet actually looks very nice - it has a little more weight to it then the usual jets we get (SHIELD Jet, Green Lantern Jet, etc.) so I am very excited to get my hands on it. Sure, I'm not necessarily thrilled with the fact that Black Panther gets Cat Ears and not a helmet, but it's definitely not the end of the world. Cap's jeep actually looks pretty nice, and with some minor mods I reckon it'd make a pretty awesome Willys Jeep styled-vehicle. I appreciate LEGO having the guts to try a new jeep design. Helmetless Cap looks great, and getting Bucky in a small set with that beautiful bike is definitely a plus. This will probably be my day one purchase from the wave. Crossbones Set Black Widow in a small set- YES! I love Black Widow, as does my friend, so if this is the same print as the AOU Natasha then I have a spare one which my friend can have, and she'd greatly appreciate that. Glad to see LEGO attempting the batons too - although some printing for a 'grip' would be nice, they are definitely acceptable. Getting another one of the bike is fantastic too - some slight differences from the one in the AOU Quinjet make it nice whilst allowing both Cap and Natasha to now have their own bikes. Definitely happy about that. Crossbones vehicle looks very ramshackle and I am not overly keen on the design, although again, LEGO are trying new stuff and I appreciate that. Looking forward to getting Crossbones in my collecting. Airport For a big set I was expecting something pretty spectacular, and LEGO do not fail to deliver! Agent 13, War Machine and the brand-new outfit for Wanda in this set all make it a immediate purchase - their new outfits look fantastic and I am incredibly satisfied with how they have come out. The Mini Quinjet looks pretty great - not too many distinctions from the AOU one, but some subtle enough differences to make a new version acceptable. Plus, the Avengers compound had multiple of these vehicles, so I don't mind more as I imagine they may be prevalent within the film itself. Giant Man is fantastic - for a brick-build LEGO have knocked him out the park. The inclusion of Mini Ant-Man is an incredibly nice touch too. Lastly, the actual control tower looks good - it looks pretty nicely detailed, and the inclusion of the fencing and the small airport supply truck does so much more to set the scene than background pieces we may have got in previous sets. Fantastic work LEGO. Overall, incredibly happy with this lineup. All three sets are immediate purchases. Sure, new printing on Cap or a new helmet would've been nice, and a couple of other characters would've been cool, but for what it is and from what the trailer has shown us, this is an incredibly good lineup. LEGO's MCU sets have always been incredibly strong in my opinion, and 2016 is shaping up to be another great year. -
My wish is pretty simple - the SHIELD Cargo Truck and SHIELD Helicopter from the upcoming Avengers game as I love it when we get more SHIELD and HYDRA stuff to army build. I mean, just picture this as a Comic Book set: Cargo Truck Ambush 1x SHIELD Cargo Truck with removable storage crates containing Blasters in back 1x SHIELD Agent, 1x Comic Book Hawkeye, 1x Comic Book Crossbones Anything SHIELD is a must for me

Very glad that the visor on the Resistance Soldiers isn't a print, but is rather yellow plastic used instead, with normal flesh minifigure heads underneath. I found that very hard to determine until your video, so thank you IGRION :) -

So no word on the UK retailer yet guys? Man, they are cutting it fine :/ Last year for LEGO Jurassic World they had a £60 edition instead of £50 at GAME, and the bonus £10 bought the Gallimimus Polybag. I'd happily pay an extra £10 for the Silver Centurion one -

Any news on a retailer in the UK for the Silver Centurion edition of the upcoming Avengers Game? I guess it is relevant as it's a 2016 release and a Marvel Minifig. -

Battle of Takodana looks like a fantastic set! The Minifigure selection is great with that unhelmeted Kylo being a nice addition, and the inclusion of two Stormies is great. That means that buying this, the Shuttle, and the First Order Transport will provide me with a fair few Stormies already! Very, very happy. Not to mention the build looks good and that flag piece looks really nice with the printing! The Resistance troop transport is also awesome in my eyes, although I really dislike the Yellow visor prints on the minifigure heads. Just looks of IMO, especially when the helmet glass is yellow anyway. -
I love it, it looks awesome!

OH MY GOD I'M IN HEAVEN. OH MY GOD. *Ahem* Sorry about that. Phenomenal work - all four MOC pieces look incredible and represent good, iconic parts of the films. The details are incredible. Definitely a massive fan of what you have achieved in these builds.

I found the original images on a site the other day, and the what we are assuming is the B-Wing is labelled as the Pirate Transport in those initial images. -

So I'm incredibly excited for all the new TFA stuff, and I was wondering - is anyone else gonna give their FO Troopers Black hands instead of White? I feel the white arms and hands blend a little too much for me personally! -

I feel like I should point out - that theorized B-Wing set we saw a while back is definitely a Force Awakens sets now, as there were two of what we now know are Resistance Troopers in that set. That means the female figure was most likely older Leia. -

From the standpoint of a guy looking to get back into the Star Wars license, this year's wave is a win for me! I dabbled in a few Clone Wars sets back in their last years, but was generally a straight Mega-Bloks only collector back then. However, I have The Force Awakens variant of the Falcon put away for Christmas, and hope to get the rest of this year's wave of set's in the January Sales. So for me, all these new Battlepacks are a fantastic springboard, as I want some old Rebel Army variants and Imperial Soldiers to use as historical battlefield waste in potential TFA MOCs. The Battlepacks this year are great in my eyes - I just agree that one more FO Stormtrooper was a must! -

Thanks for all the hints Just2Good and Sir Gareth - you guys are the best. I've been a little down recently as I'm toning down how much Mega Bloks I collect (My main thing for the Halo and COD licenses) as their distribution in the UK is appalling and quality isn't there, but this thread has cheered me up completely, as it now means that I can afford these sets, and the Marvel stuff has always been my favorite. Please could I ask you guys one thing, if I may? Are any of the sets good for army-building H.Y.D.R.A henchmen? It's just I've built up a small MCU S.H.I.E.L.D taskforce thanks to Brick Arms, so I need H.Y.D.R.A to rival them.
