    After one and half month just for the waiting of all parts needed, I've finally finished this beauty! The building experience is very intensive and not annoying, the technical solutions are superlative (like the differentials and the opening doors), the construction is very sturdy and...It's soooo fascinating to display on a shelf!!!(in future will be a showcase ) Thanks Paul for creating this masterpiece! Keep it up!

    At the end I could not resist and I bought it (even at a good price, € 178). The model is superb, massive, huge, strong, imposing and very well designed. The building experience is not the best, but it is not annoying like some other set. In plus it is a fun to play with it! In short, a "must have" set...A few gears, but put in the right place! :)

    In fact I know that this "set" is poor of gears (your review Jim is stunning, as the previous), but I'm wondering if the playability and the hugeness of this model can win this "issue"...

    I dont believe, unfortunately, that LTG will create again set with gearbox for the transmission, because i think that for TLG this kind of feature it's not interesting for kids...and this is what matters for them...

    The steering from the exhaust is a good idea, but the scale of the model seems too small for an exhaust like this (seeing the real model).

    Exactly my point of view! :) In fact in terms of beauty of the entire set i must add 8109, 8265, 8275, 42025 (i love the cargo plane) and 8285. My podiums are based about engineering complexity, the side of the creation that i like more! :)

    The most powerful bargains so far were the 8258 Crane Truck New for 132 € (3 years ago) & 42009 Mobile Crane New for 145 € (on May of this year), both on eBay.
