    Very interesting (and nostalgic ) forum! The 7740 was my first love and despite I'm an Italian (old) guy, I have always wanted to conform to the lego catalogs by applying the beautiful DB stickers on every my convoy! The main market of this era was certainly Germany, but who was the development team of the gray era I have never known but I would like to know like many of you. Bonus pictures...

    I've a diesel shunter with a gear ratio of 12:12 and it works smoothly and rather quickly, so I can immagine that your locomotive is faster then my ...but also less powerful. Maybe your locomotive is too heavy?

    Wonderful work ...I like the skillful way you have motorized the crane! I have only one observation: it would be better to put both rails under the crane to increase the playability
