  1. Gene (pab guy at tysons) rocks!
  2. They are not mine, but aren't they are nice. Buy a sheet of plywood or particle board. Drill many holes. Insert many of into the holes.
  3. Why have so many if you are not going to display them?
  4. The LEGO Facebook group has them: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.243598619006028.64505.207089142656976&type=1
  5. Has anyone added power steering and power to the wheels?
  6. They are actually windows in the basement.
  7. I was given 130 pounds of blocks from a stranger that replied to my wanted post on Craigslist. I have yet to beat that.
  8. The Modular buildings for sure then. You may also want to hit the PAB wall if you are close to a LEGO store, you can get pieces there for well less than any other means, but the selection is slim.
  9. I have found pinterest to be very useful in organizing pictures from around the web that I am inspired by. I use to have a bokmark folder where I kept all my links to inspirational mocks and images, not I have a virtual pin board. If anyone else has an account and would like to contribute to thelego-castle-ideas board let me know and I will add you. I can see this as a great way to share inspirational pictures.
  10. They are transparent, and almost always they are filled with one type. One willed with 1*2 bley log, 1*2 with grooves for exampe.
  11. Misc. Pieces such as painted tiles, 1*1 plates and other small pieces. I even have one jar that hold 1*2 bricks, when it empties I refill from a large tub in storage.
  12. While the wife was out last weekend I built some new shelves four the family LEGO. Fast forward a week, my wife was trying to move the the LEGO off form one shelf to put other toys there. "Because the kids play with more than LEGOS!" she says. During the move, the "accident" occurred. It is clear that she does not share our obsession to the block.
  13. I started a castle back in January with the hopes to finish it in two years. Long story, but now it all in a large pile on the floor. Below are the last photos that I captured before the great demise. More pictures: http://www.brickleaks.com/uploads/FollowsClosely/Castle/
  14. Nice. It is not easy to build an impressive castle that has an interior, well done.
  15. Those pics are what caused me to click on the movie. Many thanks, that camper looks awesome.
  16. Did anybody make a "backup"?
  17. This video is private. Sorry about that. Am I the only one who can't see it?
  18. Peanut butter containers.
  19. The shelves are assembled. Now we have room for more sterilite drawers. I have not yet decided on a stain/paint, I will ask the wife what she wants. The before and after:
  20. The bley is a lot cheaper. If you have a LEGO store close by, then the $70 boxes are the way to go. Not all stores sell by the box and stores do not advertise the box rate. Get to know the PAP manager and go from there. 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 2x4 and 2x6 you can now get in the $70 box.
  21. Rotate your monitor 90°. The slight 1 inch gap on the top of the middle row is for another piece of wood to be placed between the drawers if need be. I am building them from start to finish out of stain ready pine panels. I usually start with rough lumber and plane them down, but these are more utilitarian than a masterpiece.
