  1. I have found that four is the limit to stacking sterilite containers before the draws start to buckel. So my solution is in the works. I plan on finishing this project in three days, so stay tuned.
  2. For $800 in the DC area... http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/clt/2513514714.html
  3. I have used a very similar technique, except I used 1x2 tiles on the facade. I may have to go back and add the 1x1 round brick like Steve did to fill in the gaps. I placed a piece of paper behind mine to block the light from all the gaps, I felt kind of dirty doing that. Another technique can be seen here: The frame:
  4. Oh me, let me! How about $30.
  5. You are not considering international buyers.
  6. An extra 280 2x1 blocks when stacked, well worth the 15 minuets of effort.
  7. I have close to 70K of light bley bricks. But all together, if I had to guess, I would say around 450K. That picture is about 1/3 of our collection, the rest is not yet sorted, or is sorted and stored by set. We have drawn the line now, no more massive used lots from Craigslist and such. Enough is enough. For now.
  8. Dark Red 1x2 x734 = $0.02 a block!
  9. I have seen them in quantity on bricklink.
  10. What is holding the tiles on the dormers? There can't be much...
  11. $15 for large cup, $8 for small cup and $70-$80 for a box.
  12. Some inspiration: Cartoon House Comes to Life
  13. Target practice has a lot of useful pieces.
  14. This is the only reason I would be interested...
  15. We have our LEGO area somewhat picked up, so I took the opportunity to get you all a picture.
  16. I am not impressed, this is a small step and does not cost the company much if anything. If TLG wants to be green, they would cut the size of all boxes down by 1/2 at least.
  17. Looks like a SNOT roof to me. Made with black log pieces and some white tiles attached to modified brick with studs on the side? Very nice looking set. Will defiantly add it to our Christmas collection.
  18. This is a lot of work, but a better strategy me thinks. The sets you mentioned are horrible sets if you are looking to build a castle, you would be better off going to bricklink or simply waiting for BOGO sales.
  19. If you are looking for com constructive criticism: I would like to see a red or black tile on the top row for the roof to rest on. I also think some texture on the big red walls is called for, adding some of: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2877 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4070 with these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3069b It does remind me of sets from my childhood, classic town.
  20. Nice build. Those flowers are going to drive you crazy when they fall off every day.
  21. That fig with a gun to her head is a bit disturbing.
  22. The killer ios app would be an app that you take a picture of the fig and it identifies it for you.
