    Thanks 'LEGO Family' and 'laka' for your positive feedback. Now the counter height issue, old stores generally had higher counters.......staff would either be sitting on a stool or more likely on an elevated platform behind the counter. It's the overall effect I'm aiming for.....next will be a manchester display plus some hats to go up top. Typically say 60 years ago in country towns you would find menswear stores that also sold manchester and luggage......then ladieswear stores sold fabric, haberdashery, millinery supplies (ladies made their own hats) as well as manchester. I like giving history lessons with my MOC's........keep watching - more tomorrow ! Edit - I'm currently working on new post office and hardware store designs......plans will later include a new supermarket and bank......the pub might have to get bigger too. (I call it Brick-madness )

    Thanks for the great review 'Jim'.......you know this might be my first Technic set I'll buy.......just so I can learn to transfer some of the mechanicals over to minifig scale vehicles/machines. A fair size DSS......but I guess it adds the effects required especially on the dump truck.

    I voted for Gail, someone that is different in any of the past collectable series.....a female construction worker......a not typical stereotype female character and I like that. A heap of Gail's with different faces on them.....I can have an all girl construction company ! If we could vote for a second favourite......it would go to either Larry or Abe.

    Thanks 'Milian', always great to hear from you. I'm currently tossing up doing a half ceiling/roof combo or full......all the shops in my new row will have high signage so the roof tops would normally not be seen.....also half ones cost less money ! Today I hope to finish the interior and work on the signage to go on the front......it will be another LOWES menswear store......keep watching everyone !

    I agree, cute but serious build......excellent work by an 11 year old, can't wait to see what he will come up as he gets older ? Brick On 'soccerkid6's little brother' !

    Thanks for another excellent collectables review 'WF', I won't be get all those figures.....but multiples of Emmet and Gail.....those hair/helmet pieces are fantastic. The bad cop isn't on my list.....that drawn on face is a put off. Larry is at the top of my list......my coffee shop needs him !

    Nice try 'bord4kop', but I believe the base plate must a 16x16.......I like the idea of your design, I would suggest placing the model on a 16x16 plate or base plate. Good luck anyway and Brick On 'bord4kop' !

    I've done a little more work on this project during the afternoon....... Much more to come so keep watching ! Edit - Now this...... Signs and of course more interior work to come.......I've been bitten by the rebuild recreate bug ......keep watching !

    Thanks 'timmy', 'TwentyLeggedHen' and 'LEGO Family' for your positive comments, now some workwear eh ? ......Hmm, maybe.....though I have last night designed the pants rack...only the jacket one to go. The roof and front top section needs to be designed yet as well. This store might be forming a new row of shops all based around 16x16 plates and any stickering with Lego-fied or minifig-fied. Note the jocks on the small stand features a minifig wearing jocks......in real life it looks like this..... Keep watching !

    I myself would love to have have Top Gear LEGO in my collection.......Darth Vader Vs. The Stig......I think The Stig would win ! LOL Since Mega Bloks have Hot Wheels tied up with Team Hot Wheels (goodness the sets look like crap), it's quite possible that Lego sees Top Gear as the next best thing and to tie into App's as well.....another cash cow perhaps. At least we can all be able to build James May's Lego House right.....that's if it comes ahead ?

    I'm still waiting on a stack of parts for my mega Shell, etc., complex so I decided to start on a new menswear store to replace my old Lowes and Mensland store designs from a few years back. Just a tease shot first....look closely at the detail and see what you can see ? I of course still have the side walls and racks for jackets and pants among other merchandise.......keep watching !
