LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
*thomas* replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
God no... Enough with the helicopters. You could buy the set from the past wave if you'd like ;) [] -
This is a beautifull train! If you ever decide to make (and share or sell) instructions, let us know. It looks amazing!
-
It's the BNSF 10133 in other colors.

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!
*thomas* replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think there's plenty of people who will buy this set. AFOLs, but also kids. LEGO would not have produced it if they weren't certain it would sell. The fact that the box has an 80s vide is just a bonus for us, older AFOLs who actually had original pirate sets from that era. -

I loved the original IDEAS submission, but love this rendition even more. For once, IMHO, LEGO has improved the sets' appeal immensly by choosing this route. I own the original BSB and would have loved headquarters for the pirates, but won't pass up on a set like this. I like the colors, I like the fact it's a 2-in-1 and I just love pirates. Instant buy for me. -
They were quite cool (still are). Due to there being less space in the engine bay, the trunk lid was left open. The last one I've seen on the wild was in some mountain village in Sicily a few years ago, driven by a young woman. My aunt (also in Sicily) had a creme coloured 500 (the old one) with red leather seats and a soft top. great car, but TINY !!!
-
You do know there was an abarth version from the original version?
-
True, an Abarth version would've been cool, as is the creme color scheme.
-
Finally... :) should be cheaper than the current sets.
-
If they would only release the train that is included in this set, I would be a happy camper. It's simpel, but still looks 10x better compared to what TLC designs.

[PRESS RELEASE] LEGO Creator Expert 10272 Old Trafford Manchester United
*thomas* replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Licensed
Could not have cared less about a set Can't imagine why LEGO would get involved in a set / theme like this... Sports: yes, but for LEGO City, not a huge and very expensive microscale set dedicated to one club from one sport. -
Looks like a good start :). Keep in mind that not every animal is suited for a life in captivity, most bears are a prime example of animals not suited for this.

yes :)

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

If you would've made that statement 15 years ago, I would've agreed. But there are more and more sets that got their inspiration from the US / Canada. -

So you just showed me 4 pictures that have to prove that they base their sets solely on what they see in denmark... -

No, they don't. Unless the Denmark I visited was not the real Denmark. -
Hi all Since we're doing some changes around the house, I think it's time to sell some off my LEGO. I have an almost complete collection from the first Jurassic World line-up. All sets are MISB. They are located in Belgium, but can be shipped worldwide at buyers' expense. The lot consists off: 75920 75918 75919 75917 75916 If you are interested, drop me a PM. Pricewise, I'm looking at getting what the cheapest sellers on Bricklink are offering them for, MISB that is. Cheers T.

Hi all I have converted all my 12V trains to 9V and PF since all my mocs are too and I want to run them all on the same lay-out. As a consequence, I have tons of 12V tracks left which have been sitting in the attic for quite some time. They are dusty and show light to heavy yellowing (but we all know how to sort that out, don't we now). This is a list off what the lot consists off: 4 right hand switches 3 left hand switches 1 broken left hand switch 1 cross 2 remote switch controls 150 pc of straight track 90 pcs of outer curved track 90 pcs of inner curved track 94 curved conductors 68 straight conductors 2 trafo's 300 sleepers (some have broken tabs) I want to sell this lot as a whole and can ship worldwide (at buyers expense). Here is a link to the advert with some pictures. It's in dutch and says 'bidding starts at 100€', but I'm open to sensible offers. https://www.2dehands.be/plaats/m1471364594/view?c=d721e818194200feca4409741512b6e6&previousPage=mympSeller Cheers Thomas

It's an ulgy set IMHO, for train-fans at least. It has no appeal what so ever. If I wanted train parts, I'd just buy one of the city trains. And ofc, the new wheels are a cheap joke.
-
Can't believe no one has replied yet. This is an amazing model. I adore both color schemes :). Very well doen.

IMHO, the 2015 had some very good builds. They look better than many of the classic wave and 2009 wave. The ship was a downer, that's for sure, but overall, the structures were quite good. I have some of the classic sets, including BSB, but often 'we' AFOLs attribute greatness to sets from the past based on pure nostalgia and not the actual build. I hope LEGO will give us a new wave, and not just one big set. TBH, I find it more amusing collecting a few 'cheap' sets than spending all my money on one big set.

Very, very nice creation. I like the vegetation :)...

This is a weird set... Don't know why, I'm a huge JP and JW fan, but it just doesn't rock my boat. The T-rex looks off and the small hidden builds inside the backside of the gate seem - this sounds funny - out of place.

Since most LEGO-themes are based on multi-year-cycle, I hope we will see a new: - harbour theme with coast-guard - farm-theme - train station - deep-sea explore theme
