From Almaak to Zotax: all the planets in the LEGO galaxies...
Jared replied to TalonCard's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I apologize if this has laready been said, but I think now with the LEGO Superheroes theme you have to include the enormous multi-verses from both DC and MARVEL... -
A classic movie. Nice job with the design!

AHH, I'd love to read this, but I haven't even had a chance to see the second season yet!! Still very cool (from what I could quickly and vaguely glance over ;D).

Eh... I mean, it would be cool, but I'd rather have more dragons and mechs and stuff. Not that a tower isn't cool, but it's seems like it's more of a hrad-core collector thing...

Oooh, these look so good!! Always regretted not getting the originals!

Definitely. Although it would be pretty expensive. I think the only villains I really want are Spider-man ones (because I'm a huge Spidey fan), and regardless of whether the new villains are from the Ultimate show, they still look great (nice to have that new Doc Ock from the game coming out though). The only MARVEL universe villain I really want to see is Winter Soldier. Not that the new Captain America set with Red Skull looks bad, not at all, I plan to pick up two (for the HYDRA agents!!) but a grown-up Bucky would've been nice.

Argh, why won't they make a figure of her already!?! Not that the one I made with purist parts is bad, but it would be nice to have an official one. Well, at least we get MJ in the upcoming April wave! Another great figure would be classic Green Goblin like in the video game. Alas, I don't think TLG can get the rights to him :(

I love that show! Until season 3... but up to that point it was good! Yeah eh? That would just be the the best! As far as my favourite sets... definitely ones from this year. From the DC line, definitely the Joker's Steamroller (even though I've yet to get it) because of course, Batgirl (sorry, huge bias because of that!). From the MARVEL line, I'd have to say the upcoming Spider-man Doc Ock Truck Heistt. Although the Escape from Doc Ock's lab set was cool, the Doc Ock wasn't (not a big fan of ultimate Spider-man), so seeing a more classic-looking Doc Ock like the one from the comics + the Animated Series definitely catapaults this to best set for me. Baisically, a combo of nostalgia, good minifigs, playability and affordability (LEGO is getting really expensive here in Canada!). In a close second would probably be from DC the Riddler Chase (FLASH!!) and from MARVEL that upcoming Hulk's Lab escape, with that nice selection of assroted minifgures. Seriously, this year's line for Superheroes seems like the best one yet! If we exclude this year, I'd probably say the Battle for Metropolis from MOS (mocer's bias, had a good selection of minifigs and parts) and from MARVEL the flying car thing with Venom. Anyone else agree?

Now that it's been mentioned, I do get a little x-pod vibe from these. I loved that series. I mostly want these for those nice-looking ball joint pieces...

Hairpieces that are overused and underused in Lego history?
Jared replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I wish they'd do more of the CMF series 6 Sleepy head hairpiece in the same reddish-brown rather than all these black ones coming out. That is an awesome hairpiece design though. -
Does Lego's emphasis on minifigures change the way kids play?
Jared replied to naf's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As a kid it was always a blanace really, because I wanted both the set AND the minifiugres. Usually it was that I wanted the build slightly more or the minifigures slightly more. Exo-force and Batman (2006) were a good example for me. In Exo-force, the minifigures looked awesome, and so did the robots, but the mech was the way more intriguing part. With Batman, however, I wanted the minifigures a bit more than the builds (though I DID want both) because I knew I could build some rainbow-coloured Batmobile with pieces from my own collection. I guess in the end it depends on the theme. Maybe he likes ninjago because it has cooler minifigures (even though that dragon is absolutely amazing), but superheores has more appealing builds (like the Lex Luthor Kryptonite suit, or the batmobile). -
Thanks for posting!
