Wow, that's really impressive! I like how you used different parts to mimic certain details, like the beard.

That roof has some interesting building techniques in it! Lovely build, great story too! -
AoM Mill Phase 2: Down by the (Icky) River

Nice little build! Love the wheel, and the purple works well for the water. -
This is an awesome treehouse! I really love the tree and the roof of the tower. Also interesting path to the front door, what did you use for the cobblestones?

Wow what a great idea to have the spy hide inside a chest! Nice build, like the colors of the walls and lots of details!

Nice! I'm going to have a crack at challenge III dwarven afairs on the human side. Love the idea of building something else for a change. -
This is not what i'd expect from you, but wonderfully done nonetheless!

Good luck with your next chapter in life... Be safe, and who knows, you will be back one day. Somebody said to me a few days ago that a little bit of dark age doesn't hurt anybody. I sure hope this is true for you too!

Shooting Straight - AoM: Storehouse Phase II
Jorrith replied to MKJoshA's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build! And excellent story too! The snot rockwork looks good, though i feel it could use a little less colors (the tan is feeling out of place) Love the texture of the storehouse door. -
I think it takes bravery to post a simple moc (very nice tho!) in between all the other stuff posted here on the forums, atleast, when i was at your building level, i never dared to post any of my creations. That being said, yes you will definatly improve over time! When parts count is not a limitation anymore, (well to most it still is) you can build anything you want. I don't have much to add to the tips allready given, but definatly try bricklink! When you see you are running out of bricks, you can order some more, just as easy as ordering pizza. (Not sure if that's a good thing tho)

Awesome build! I really like all the weird angles in it, it must have been quite a challenge...

Posing is great! Only thing that could be improved is photography. The pic is a little bit blurry. Also if you use a curve in your background, instead of an sharp angle, it shows less shadow. I went to an art shop (those that sell stuff for painting and drawing stuff on paper and canvas) and got me two sheets of 100x70cm paper for just a few euro's. Works great as a background!

Excellent phase 1! Those crops look good, and it's a lovely scene!

Awesome! Liked the build, loved all the extra details, and for dessert we also get a great story to read! Brick on MKJoshA! -
Quite a nice build Soccerkid! The floor is just excellent with the bear claw mosaic! Also like those windows, and how you did the axes and tapestry behind the throne.

Thanks! The stress was not really that great, but i allready have disassembled the majority of the moc, including the towers. So those poor bricks will live another day.

Book II Challenge III Dwarven Affairs
Jorrith replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sounds nice! Not sure yet if i will participate, but the side of man would be my prefference if i would. -
Thanks all! So many comments allready.... Euhh.... I didn't use any math, but i wanted to know if it was a legal connection or not, so i just built a concept in LDD. The connection is not legal, but very very close, in theory it should not be possible, but due to the fact there is some play in the plastic bricks it is possible to build IRL.

A few pics are not showing, but this castle is getting bigger and bigger! Those different levels are perfect, just like the castle was built against a hill.
