I dunno man, that seems like a silly reason for it to not happen, all the other masks are being sold in mass quantity at retail, after all.

While I think something that emphasizes the team and building aspect would be ideal(A Strategy RPG would be perfect for that.), I gotta say I would be all over a Diablo-style dungeon crawler, which while missing the team aspect, would let you "build" your character through armor, weapon, and mask "loot".

In Okoto Legend, there is said to be a being who could make what was dreamed into reality, he walked the dreamscape of Okoto's people, draped in golden skin. He was drawn to those with fierce desire, and would grant one wish in exchange for passage to our world. He could commit great miracles, but by the same hand, great atrocities as well. He was sealed again long ago, by the Mask Makers themselves! One can only hope he has stayed there since... Gallery!!

I think the current art style put together with "real" animation would be an awfully nice treat. Not to insult the animation of the shorts, of course.

See, I can get behind that, your initial post didn't really leave much aside from my interpretation, but this makes sense.

While I like these sets a lot, this post is pretty much the "You can't criticize bad food, you're not a chef!" fallacy. Like, duh, of course you can.

Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
CabooseBM replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Holy crap I am honestly stunned by how FANTASTIC these look. Darth Vader is one of the best looking Constraction Figures Out-of-Box I've ever seen! Still, ah, still no new feet though. >=T -

I feel vaguely targeted, so I'm going to clarify that I am already on board the obvious reproduction camp, I merely think the more magi-mechanical "building" is way cooler. AND thematic! =V

But they aren't less sentient, so it implies nothing of the sort. Not to mention decades of robot fiction from Astro Boy to I, Robot to Wall-E to Transformers to Short Circuit are all about robots with sentience and fully functional emotions. Like it's one of the most basic robot tropes there are! Why the Bonkles fandom can't get that through their thick, metal-plated skulls I'll never understand.

Oh, okay, I see now. I don't agree in the case of MU inhabitants, but I see what you're saying.

I'm completely with you on the first paragraph except for the "robots are gross" thing, which I don't understand? I get what you're saying in the second paragraph, it makes more sense to handwave it away in this universe and I'm hardly complaining about that. But honestly I really like the thematic link of "building" the inhabitants of a constraction toyline. And since I'm already willing to accept the handwave of organic reproduction in the first place, I am totally up for handwaving away the "life from nothing" complaint.

How is it more disturbing? In any way? I'd imagine the absence of pregnancy makes it less disturbing on the outset*! And they're kinda constructing their child either way, if you think about it. *(This is not a "pregnancy is ew" comment BTW. But an acknowledgement of the mental, physical, and emotional toll it takes on the parent carrying the child.)

Is it really? The Matoran have always been fancy robots, so them being assembled comes as little surprise.

I was fully embracing the CCBS all the way back when it was first leaked, it really reignited my interest in Constraction and building. I remember back when people used to say you couldn't build titans with the system. I took it as a challenge and ended up rebuilding Fire Lord, a then massive effort who even now is one of my favorite builds, even if he never got published! (Which, unrelatedly, is why Fire Lord is my favorite Constraction titan.)

Sounds good, hopefully the Jedi dudes means a whole bunch of brown or tan shells. -

Right now Skull Warrior is the most lackluster to me right now since he doesn't have an interesting function OR particularly cool colors. I mean, trans-light-blue is cool and all, but I've already got so much at this point...

I like how you used the rules to invalidate the Heroes' advantages and then proceeded to allow those advantages to the Toa.
