  1. I personally hope that's the case, I'd rather budget went into parts that aren't so single-character centric. Unless they use the older masks in new colors, which would be an acceptable compromise.
  2. Because that art style is nowhere near conducive to animation?
  3. That's some nice backpedaling there.
  4. There's a part of me that really, really wants that eyeball mask. I dunno if it's a big enough part to pay for a full costume for it, but, eyeball mask.
  5. I didn't think that would actually work, is that really a thing I can do??
  6. I think light bluish grey would be a much better counterpart to the dark orange used by Pohatu. Also, it's a new shell color! Olive green also pairs well with dark orange, but not for Pohatu.
  7. Leewan, that thing is freaking beautiful.
  8. Yeah, I'd be all for stuff like this. While I would also love stuff with more bones/shells, I also want LEGO to experiment with new functions and different ways of implementing old ones. This also includes plenty of tasty new pieces like 4M Purple Shells and Beast Claws. Plus, the legs are pose-able here, which sidesteps the problem LOSS ran into.
  9. Nah, anecdotal evidence is never a good measure for gauging sales.
  10. I kinda hope LOSS sticks around becoming more and more irrelevant despite their constant scheming, it'd be like, "Aha! Foolish Toa, once again I have returned to rule over Okoto!" "Not now LOSS we're busy."
  11. I think it'd be a really cool homage if the Creature of Earth was a crab.
  12. Yeah, that Kopaka test shows just how limited and awkward that style of "animation" is. I am very, very glad they went with a simpler aesthetic that lends itself well to animation.
  13. I absolutely would not mind if TLG skipped making new mask molds for the Toa in favor of new molds of other kinds of parts. Like new FEET.
  14. Makes sense, the mask was created about a thousand years ago, even if they are using the same language, it'll have evolved to be practically unrecognizable at this point.
  15. Wait, what's the confirmation that the Protectors are all dudes? Holding onto the barest of hopes, here.
  16. Functions are a fun idea for more set style mocs, but I find they get in the way of shaping and filling in.
  17. Goodness me I forgot about that set. How could I forget "snake themed crane with wrecking ball"? How indeed. Man. Wow.
  18. Indeed, talk about dodging a bullet!
  19. Kapura? It's Kapura, right..?
  20. I actually agree, but I had Beast Heads available and they were good/easy stand ins for new molds. They definitely don't fit the Bohrok vibe and I think I'll make another pass to try and correct that.
  21. I think it's just greebling, but you could probably adjust it into one of those double-pin-holes so it could accept armor add-ons.
  22. Gallery So, those hilariously fake 2016 leaks inspired me to try my hand at concepting some of my own G2 Bohrok. These are really rough designs, mind, and I haven't really decided on a proper function to install into them. The two "Bohrok" present are Cleanser of Fire and Cleanser of Earth, and their designs are pretty radically different, but hopefully designed with enough shared design cues to fit together. What I'd really like to see is other people's ideas and concepts for designing G2 Bohrok, here are some of my "Guidelines": Nonhumanoid design "Kaiju" head from IfB No handheld weapons Hunched over or ball-like shape Extending neck No clone sets So, have at it, folks!
  23. Man, now I want to make a Bohrok.
  24. Jurassic World Ultrabuilds. They may be horrible monstrosities of paleontoligical inaccuracy, but I can fix that and non-humanoid builds are great.
  25. No, it's going to be on display at Comic con, EW explained that it wouldn't be purchaseable until it hits retail in January of 2016.
