[Software] LDD2PovRay
Leewan replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It's 47 - Tr. Fluore.Redd. Orange. I'm currently rendering with a lighter shade, 182 - Tr. Bright Orange, and it seems better (the head is transparent, so I guess the other parts will become transparent too). -

I think have a texture problem : The orange parts are supposed to be transparent (like the legs, or the upper arms armors), and I don't know how to fix that. -
But not biomechanical children. They're BIONICLE, they're not 100% organic (unless we learn leater that the villagers and the Toa are 100% organic characters who wear armors), so the reproducing part is a bit weird.

I also wish there were more dark azure. At least one #5 shell on the torso (in a similar fashion to the Protecor of Fire).Though, it's still nice to have four #3 trans-dark blue shells. Thanks for the review, VBBN !

Thank you ! I like them too, and in fact, it's the first part I've built. And yeah, they're strong enough for such a light model. But I think they could support an heavier MOC, because as you can see here, the toes are "locked" against the dark bley piece, so they can't move.

Oh... well, I thought it was only because of perspective, but yeah, he could be a "protector child".

Now I know what to get for Christmas... More seriously, I bought Tunneler Beast earlier this week, and tonight, I decided to build an alternate model out of it. I can't take pictures right now, so you'll have a render instead : No, I'm not calling it Headless Beast. The only leftover parts are the Technic bits from its back.

Here's a new version with vertical thumbs attachments, suggested by a friend from BIONIFIGS : The part around the crosshole and the two beams is too think, I doubt this part would be the best option from a molding standpoint.

Nice ! Too bad it can't be built IRL.

You have to enter your age and your country first, then click on next, and on the next page you'll see four buttons. The I want to buy a piece button is in the top left corner (anyways, you can't miss it, it's the only green button ).

They are available online. Maybe not on the PAB, but you can go here, click on I want to buy a piece, and then on bricks and pieces selection.

Thank you ! You can build it if you want, I don't mind at all, don't worry. BTW, that's an interesting Toxic Reapa mod, Rayskull. I'll certainly try to make my own version. It's nice to see that the Protector "format" is already so popular, I hope we'll see lots of similar MOCs when the Protectors will be available.

I don't think either that there are many Technic parts in PAB walls, it's mostly bricks, plates and tiles. You should check this topic, it might help you to see what you can find in your store. :)

So... interesting build, check. Great parts selection (those trans-purple bones ), check. Cool looking figure, check. Yup, I agree with the others, he's my favorite Protector, and by far. Thanks for the review, VBBN !

That's what happened. But you got it wrong, the last day for entering was actually the 30th November, and as soon as the 30th November was over, so at midnight / 24h / 12pm CET, when the date changed, the contest was over. So the contest actually ended on the 1st December, at 12pm. Anyways, good luck for the judging, VBBN (and good luck to the other judges too). -
To be honest, I wouldn't either record something that doesn't interest me. Anyways, I know a lot of stuff was recorded there by the exhibitors, now they just need soe time to upload everything (and to sleep, they're not biomechanical ), so... just be patient. ;)

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Entry Thread
Leewan replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Entry name : Rahengir Entry pic : Short story : Rahengir is an ancient being, he is said to be the first Guardian of Okoto, and wears a mask much more powerful than anything Ekimu and Makuta could have forged: the Mask of Matter Control. He wants to destroy the Toa because he thinks they're too weak to protect Okoto, together with the Masks of Power, because he considers that their powers as ridiculous compared to his own Mask's power, and thus that they don't deserve to exist. -
Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Entry Thread

Entry name : Aruthar Entry pic : Additional pics : https://www.flickr.c...157647119974443 Short story : The Protectors didn't fully trust the Toa when they arrived on Okoto. So they gathered, in secret, a team of villagers to find the Masks of Power. Aruthar was one of them, and unfortunately, he found the Mask of Ultimate Power, which turned him into a cruel and fierce warrior. -
This is different. The NYCC wasn't a Lego exhibition, and the people who uploaded stuff were visitors, not attendees.

You can use google, or any similar website to translate. Or you can wait for VBBN's review.
