  1. I think a more refined version of last year's event would be cool. Heroica Secret Santa Grog the Red, maybe. It's simple, in the spirit of Grogmas, and everyone who chooses to participate will get at least something out of it.
  2. Oh man, that's pretty lame.
  3. Isn't Sorrow kind of on a quest?
  4. Current Sign-Ups For Quest #89: Reclaiming Glory Johon, Level 26 Raider (Bricksandparts) Dyric Rone, Level 22.33 Assassin (The Legonator) Benji Carvenhall, Level 35 Beast Warrior (Flare) Hoke Ablesword, Level 29 Mystic Knight (UsernameMDM) Thothwick, Level 25 Black Knight (Professor Flitwick) Althior Emorith, Level 36.5 Necromancer (K-Nut) Hybros, Level 29 Assassin (JimButcher) Alexis Fenral, Level 35.5 Harlot (Masked Builder) Dreyrugr, Level 19.5 Black Knight (Vash the Stampede)
  5. That settles what we'll be serving at the next Witch's Union Ice Cream Social.
  6. Here's a stick and a rock. Try to survive in this harsh, unforgiving environment. Merry Grogmas.
  7. Of course they're still viable threats, I'm saying there's (generally speaking) less investment in stopping a worldwide threat than there is in the smaller ones that could realistically be destroyed. If Quest 48 was set on one of the other Free Islands, I personally think it would've seemed like there was lot more on the line. Sure, it's not Uland so we're not as familiar with it, but an entire island being enslaved and utterly annihilated by the Proggs on failure would be a lot more perceivable than if the real Quest did fail, since you could have full reign over the island it takes place on, unlike Uland. You can't have realistic worldwide threats, since there are other QMs to think about. If you limit your enemies and the area they threaten, it just personally feels like there's a lot more to lose. And unlike huge-scale threats, they actually COULD lose it.
  8. That's what I mean. Their threats and ideas never really pan out, that's why I personally wouldn't bother playing up an enemy's plans or ideals. They're never going to happen. Even if heroes act like their threats aren't really empty, it'd just feel like the player's humoring them. Best thing to do is put the thing the heroes and players have invested in on the line. Makes actions and reactions that much more real.
  9. Having just gotten through serious work in planning out my Questline, my own finale(s) won't be on too massive of a scale. The small-scale, high-risk intensity Kintobor mentions, is what I'll be going for, personally. The larger the scale of a Quest, the lower the stakes seem to be. There's no way Wren would've legitimately won. The focus in Quest 53 was making sure the favorite NPCs lived. Those are the kind of stakes I'll be aiming for, and in my opinion are the ones I care about more. Yet another piece of helpful advice from Mass Effect.
  10. Love the story and the build, and it's seriously amazing how you did the window in the last shot. It looked like an excellent Photoshop at first, but it's actually there in the set.
  11. Not really. Generally people wait until the Quest is over, or until at least they're not in the middle of battle to post in the Hall, either. 12. The rule change is that attacking undead/summons can't prevent enemy Free Hits, they've never taken Free Hits themselves.
  13. No, just the far more disastrous occurrence of misinterpreted Heroica rules. Undead and elemental summons have never taken free hits.
  14. But the target can't damage them. I thought summons didn't have any health or took any damage at all. Unless you're just talking about non-class related minions like Edgar the Spider and Elemental Jinn?
  15. I meant in a literal direction kind of way. If I can get into unmapped territory I'll end up in Farzibar. Where hopefully someone can revive me.
  16. Meh. If you know how to use it, MS Word ain't bad. I've been using it since Quest 69, and just look at all my amazing special effects in Quest 82.

    Star Wars

It probably wouldn't be ready by summer 2015. Are you saying you'd rather wait a whole 6 more months to see in theaters when this way it'll be out on DVD by then? I'm pretty excited, I thought for sure they'd have to push it back a year, but it seems everything's going according to plan so far. Hopefully we'll get some teasers by Celebration VII.
  23. His dialog writes itself when he's alone. He generally doesn't think things through much in the company of others, even less so when that company is made up of demonic inanimate objects. Depending on how long Quest 85 is, Baltarok could be over/mostly done by then. Something tells me we're gonna be wandering around the desert for a while.
  24. "Pull me outta it? Pull me outta it? When have ya' ever pulled me OUT of trouble? If anythin', whenever the hell I decide to pick you up everyone seems to aim AT me. You're the damn reason I'm in this mess in the first place. Ya' know, just because you're weakenin' doesn't mean I am. You've been killed by heroes twice, once by me, so forgive me if I don't give a damn about your superiors in whatever hellhole ya'll crawled out of. I've been in worse situations than this, against enemies at least as bad as a giant friggin' eyeball, so if ya' shut up and help me out as best as ya' damn well can, we've got a reasonable chance of not gettin' destroyed. Again." Atramor tiredly kicked the Pheles Rod a few feet across the sand, and turned his back on it. '<Well handled.>' "Shut up," snapped the regulator in annoyance, sitting back down. "Ya'd think bein' the lost in the middle of the desert would be a good place for some quiet. No, instead, I've got no less than two demons for company. Three, if ya' count Airman," Atramor flipped off the sun in a useless gesture of defiance, then wiped off his forehead. "That damn ape owes me one for this. Probably would've shriveled up and died by now."
