So what she told us was true....from a certain point of view.

Who needs science and logic when you've got magic thingamajigs?
-
I refer specifically to issues that occur in-character. In-character is not the best place to discuss the logic of such things.
-
This isn't exactly improv, though...roleplaying's not supposed to be people doing the most utterly random or ridiculous stuff and other people rolling with it. Some stuff is just easier to ignore than to reply to. Interaction should at least be reasonable.

Mead is mead.

45 hours....can we panic now??

If everyone's running around in long-sleeved shirts and armor it's not like Florida.

It's a secret.

Heroica RPG - Quest #85: Visions of an Unblinking Terror

What's the point of inflating the price of consumables if we can go back to Eubric whenever? Atramor rolled his eyes at the wasted guide. "Aye. The sooner we get through the desert the sooner ya' can get on with whatever it is you're doin'. Considerin' you're at least twice as rich as the rest of us, I hope ya' wouldn't grudge this idiot his cure." -
How much damage do you do per battle again? If you have more than two weapons, you're in the clear for whatever you want to do. My main weapon has like 6 gems imbued. The only thing I don't do damage to is Rock and Ethereal. A big investment, but I have massive multipliers on the most common enemies: Vermin and Beasts. You deal normal damage to Holy and Demonic enemies, double to Humanoids and Undead. Diamond is ineffective to Holy, Amethyst to Demon, so it balances itself out.

Oh, right. I forgot everyone else frowns upon killing allies for some reason.
-
Hope you don't mind looking like a complete idiot then.

I love it when a character is so completely unreasonable in such a perfect manner. He and Monk Pretzel define this category.

Not me.

"Always in the mood for a drink." Atramor walked past Namyrra, his annoyance with blundering around in the desert blindly for hours getting the better of him and causing him to slap Nizam in the back of the head. "Get the hell up." -
I know, I'm just saying it happens regardless of creating a personal NPC or not; heroes can get really embroiled in NPC interaction to spend any time getting to know their fellow heroes. It's a good sign you've made a great NPC, but it can be disconcerting when you're so disconnected from what's going on.
-
NPC interaction isn't a bad thing, but yeah...it's super easy to get really wrapped up with a good NPC and forget there are others on the Quest. Well-done NPCs can make or break a Quest, but hero interaction is just as important, if not more.
-
Something like an Adoring Fan? Bringing pets along is completely different than bringing along fully-fledged people. I don't really think that would be fair. The best hero/NPC relationship is probably between Thothwick and Hoptet - I love how Flitwick has Hoptet sign up for Quests even though he won't get on them. I personally think that's about as far as friendly NPCs should go, until they can be brought in as a second character. Nobody likes it when others permeate the Hall with half a dozen of their own NPCs. I think they're best left for Quests, regardless of how cool they come across as.
-
Yeah. If Baradock didn't talk to himself we'd be completely in the dark about what his character's like. I really like him, I literally failed to notice he hadn't said a word until halfway through Quest 86. It's surprising how much you can get across just by describing thoughts/body language.
-
Still, you should probably put it in the item description, since there's no 'correct' way of it. It differs among QMs.
-
Love it! Looks very natural and unobtrusive to the forest around it. Nice sled, too.
-
Generally. The amount of damage it does is dependent on the QMs, who should really put it in the item descriptions. I personally use Scuba's (5 damage, removable by either remedy or being healed to full health).

If anyone would be haunting the biggest shopping center in Eubric, it'd be Calico Meatpie.
-
Knew we should've taken out those Wolfgang guys. That is an obscene amount of cameos in Quest 87, by the way.

Only a few minutes after returning to Eubric through the strange portal, Atramor made his way back to the Shrine from the Hall, a fresh bottle of rum in hand. "Ready. Namyrra, mind if I hold onto onna those Sabres?"
