while i like the design, the recent proliferation of flying vehicles saturated my desire to incorporate such vehicle into my mini town. :-/

yeah...it's buy 2 get 1 free. TRU have that periodically. Kmart sucks. they mark up above MSRP much higher than TRU. i wouldn't go there. waste of time. :-P

hmm, i'm kinda late to this discussion but noticed one thing about the presumption of jesus being white. you know, jesus was a 1st century hebrew, which is more likely olive in complexion. there is nothing in historical text which indicated that jesus has any outstanding or extraordinary facial or racial feature. so needless to say, he looked just like any other jewish ppl in jerusalem at the time. when the romans adopted christianity in the 3rd century, everything took a roman twist. i am only quoting the historical fact, not quoting the religious agenda. so, if you think jesus is white, think again. michaelangelo and da vinci were heavily influenced by the papal/european art at the time. they have not met him personally nor were any of their paintings historically accurate. he may or may not have long hair. he may or may not have a fair complexion. again, these are just facts. not trying to stir contraversies or unrest. just thought ppl should know the truth/facts. *y*

nope, it wasnt. the castle siege was $90 or $10 d/c. the skeleton tower was $45, $5 d/c. the small sets were around $0.50 or $1 off. best deal is the carriage. on another note, some targets are clearing the final joust. if you're lucky (like me) you could get one or a few for $1.99. 8-

i thought this was discovered earlier. i meant the construction of the wheels not the new anakin picture. :-P quite a few ppl already knew that. it's from the xpod lid cover. transparent. the threads are wrapped around it and the 2x2 studs in the middle are then used to build out the rest of the wheel.

not quite. you see, newton's law: a body in motion tends to stay in motion. it's the momentum rule. when you are on the earth, you are rotating with it. when you jump you exert an upward force which propels you upwards. but you still have that rotating momentum from earlier, so when gravity pulls you down later, you land in exactly the same spot because you were rotating at the same time as the earth. so for a helicopter to stay up in space, in a counter rotational direction, it needs to overcome its momentum, then it needs to overcome the atmosphere's momentum immediately surrounding it. so to truly stay "stationary" in space ( i use that term loosely since space and time is relative, not absolute) the helicopter actually needs to move counter rotation to the earth. so if it only exerts a vertical force, it will still rotate with the earth therefore will not actually circle the earth at all. now if you assume a helicopter stays high up in the statosphere where there is no friction, no air resistance, well... that's an impossible situation. a helicopter can't stay up without any air. :-/ it's the forced compression of air that exerts a downward force which allows it to stay "afloat." to stay in "space" forever you actually need to stay at a trajectory tangent to the earth and at just the right speed. the gravitational force will pull you towards earth, pulling you from your initial trajectory away from the earth. if this relationship maintains, you should stay up above the earth in a "constant spot" as viewed from the earth below. :-P

looks nice. not very sturdy i assume? the mech's arms are connected via mf hands and mf legs.

should be easy to patch the hole. use silicone gel. :-P probably won't look as nice as the original but that depends highly on one's repair skills. :-P but it's really not worth the effort in my opinion. only for rare figures, maybe.

i don't like the fact that he butchered the euroarmor. decals are okay in my books. too elaborate decals however make a moc look weird. in fact, if you ask me i would have just use ryo's torso for master chief. i like how he used trans-yellow head for the appearance of visor. either that or you can use the new metallic gold visor from MM sets. as for the height, you can use the moko technique: levers, grill plate, 1x1 round bricks and the tooth plate. :-P i'll try it in the evening and post it here. :-P
