i guess it takes an engineer to understand the mechanism. :-P it's quite simple... the seat between the two wheels have a counterbalance weight at the bottom to keep it right side up. the two wheels are connected to a spoke that goes through the "seat" in the middle. if designed with the right counterbalance weight there should be very little rocking but if too light, the poor troll in the seat will fall face down. if too heavy, well... it takes a lot of power and energy to move that thing. :-P

thanks sinner! guess i was wrong. the helmet is just the dwarf's. drat. oh well, hope they come up with a new one for the release version. at least from what we can see, the wheels are brick built. that's great...i guess if i want to, i can resize it. 6 figures...hmm, probably $20-30 range. same as the skeleton carriage i guess. SC has 5 mfs, but 4 horsies. too bad not enough shields again. :-| i wonder when they are going to introduce new heraldrys. the crown is getting boring. :-P

Click here $29k for a lego set. wow...with that kinda money i could have bought a car.

this just happened like 5 mins ago. saw 6077 forestmen fortress for $49.99 buy it now + $5.70 shipping on ebay. wasn't sure what the BL price was...went to check and came back, it was sold. :-/ it came with box + instructions too, in vg condition. crap!

yeah...but lego designers have a constraint where building needs to stack vertically. a few snot techniques included is fine but not created as such from the ground up. but what they fail to see is that vertical stacking method only works on buildings. they got to be less stringent on that rule or maybe even abolish it and let creativity runs wild especially for UCS models. i mean, so much more can be done on the boeing 787 to make it visually stunning yet they went with the bulky vertical stacking technique which made it less than perfect.

After almost one year sorting bricks...
natelite replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
good sorting! *y* i can't help but notice you placed the speakers on top of the storage boxes. the boxes aren't stable so won't that create unwanted vibrations? i would hang the speakers and leave the top for displaying your lego models. :-P -
Official Speed Racer Licensed Product in 2008
natelite replied to ColdBricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
off topic: hey sinner - can you please scan a high res pic of the troll wheel and post in the troll wheel thread ? on topic: i thought everyone likes 4 stud wide cars and 6 stud wide trucks. i counted and this is 8 stud wide! :-P i guess we'll be moving soon to 12-16 stud wide trucks and helicopters...wooohooo... X-D X-D X-D X-D alright, alright, i'll not rain on anyone's parade. really hoping for the japanese fans to make a chibi scale of this theme's cars. hopefully in 4 stud wide so i can "copy" their method and incorp into my town. :-P :-D as for shooting contraption, i'm okay with them, but the scale has got to be reduced. it's just too large right now. something in the size of the pirate's shooting cannon would be ideal. everything about lego is getting too large for my liking. -
i think the wheels are a little too large. they should tone it down a little. right now it's as tall as a castle's wall. on the plus side, it seems like the trolls are getting the ninja wrap in bley. hurray!!!!

i guess you didn't quite understand the smilie language. let me translate. :-P No thanks. I don't want someone who smells *wub* but is realy >:-) "No thanks. I don't want someone who smells lovely but is really evil."

chrome gold...heavy??? 8-| 8-| 8-|

HCl doesn't reverse oxidization. HCl dissolves plastic. so you end up with liquid abs if you did that.

look at the snot technique. that's very close to the "real" thing. real because it's actually modelled after a fictional futuristic bike. but still...look at it!!! also from the same creator, the WV beetle!!! this model beats tlc's official design by a mile. make that a thousand mile. i think for 16+ models, tlc should really make an exception to the vertical stack rule. i mean, 16+ should be smart enough to use snot techniques. it's something i would love to see in an official model. *wub* *wub* *wub* it even has a child seat. lol :-D X-D *y*

i found a bigger picture of the doom wheel! that definitely looks the part. :-P this is great! didn't know trolls are so inventive! :-P i like to see a dwarven steam tank next! hehe :-D X-D bring on "warcraft" lego castle.

is there a quicker way of whitening? 19 days is kinda long on whites though. if it was on colored pieces it might be worth while. :-P let me know how it goes. i got some whites to whiten as well.
-
your style, fantastic. i love the blood. the grave diggers. your mocs are brilliant. all the snot techniques. *wub*
-
why did you bring up a year-old thread? if it's just the lego that smells (and not the instruction book) washing it with soap will remove the smell. the only thing you can't reverse is the creaking sound of an overexposed brick. sun and heat really damage lego. :-P

it'll be one way of ensuring full subscription to BM though if they decided to give real exclusive MFs! :-P maybe if they include a chrome gold c3p0 in the final BM set! that would bring attention to BM quickly! hehe

yup, 7666 is also removed. drat...these limited editions are really limited i guess. :-/

wheee...got carribbean clipper today. with shooting cannons again. :-P too bad there's no captain's cabin. it's quite hollow. looking forward to SES. i was kidding, sinner! :-P i am not going to kill you. maybe maim you a little. :-P hehehehe...i think there's plenty of shooting cannons to go around. just gotta be smart about it when bidding on ebay! hehe :-P
-
i went crazy today and overbid on SES sets for $170. plus shipping it comes up to a small fortune. to make matter worse, i won both auction. ack! i'm now stuck with having to pay $340+ shipping. :'-( :'-( is bricklink prices reliable? seems like SES with only instruction is like $220+ didn't expect to win if BL was at $200+. any pirates fan can update me on what the real price is on that set? and BSB seems to be selling at approx $140. is that right though? it's so much cheaper than SES but seems to be more popular with pirate fans. why's that? BL sells for approx $3 ea. only 2 shops carry them. 8 and 10 each. buy them out and i will kill you! >:-(

left-most is the shooting cannon. you can see it has a grey pin. the middle is the flicker cannon which has a black pin. the right-most is the non-shooting cannon, which has the double cannon emblem and a lighter pin at the top. the shooting cannons have a pin inside the barrel to load the round bricks. the non-shooting cannon has an empty barrel. both of these physical characteristics determine which cannon you get. now that you have this knowledge, you can shop safely on ebay without getting ripped off. X-D X-D i know even a few listings that tried to sell the legend sets as w/ shooting cannons yet attached the non-shooting cannon in the pictures. most US sets are non-shooting. only the very earlier US sets are (probably late 80s). european sets have mostly shooting cannons. not sure about the more recent 2000s legend sets. :-/ per my tests (with cannons aimed at approx 30 degree angle), shooting cannons can shoot as far as 12-15 feet. flicker cannons are around 3-4 feet. the shooting cannons are quite strong too, so definitely do not aim at eyes or let young kids play with them. it's very fun to play though. so much more realism when staging an attack on fort eldorado. lol... :-D :-D i hope they make a comeback should TLC decides to make pirate sets in 09! *y*
-
what do you mean? in action? kinda hard though. if you want still photo, you can see on bricklink too. :-P i'll take pic of the three (shooting, flicker and non-shooting) side by side, but as a simple description, the shooting is entirely grey, the flicker has a black pin, the non-shooting has an emblem of 2 cannons at the top and also a small round protrusion at the top, next to the emblem.
-
i see you went to a lego store! X-D i got fort eldorado 6276 from fleebay. :-P mine came with shooting cannons! those things can fly! i only had the flick cannons previously and i must say shooting cannons are WAYYYY better. now to wait for my ships. :-P still have to win a pirate ship though. won the clipper and the flagship and no pirate ship to battle with. hehe...
-
hmm... too bad you can't fit a trans-clear helmet over the visor though in that configuration.

Chicago TLC Store - 2008 SW Sets!
natelite replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
this is more related to buying so i will ask the question here. did you get a copy of the store calendar? can you list the special deals for Dec? any good stuff like 20% off *wub* *y*
