i have your problem as well. i tend to keep all my sets separate, even creator sets. :-| there's a reason for my title! ;-) i'm a MF horder...and MF is not short for minifig. :-P i think i need to start sorting my bricks by parts instead of sets, especially for those i don't intend to keep whole.

you are both correct (imo of course). :-D see, it is easier to manufacture droids than mfs. droid parts are from simple molds. stamp or injection mold them and move on. mf parts are more complex. the arms to the torso are hard to do. same with the legs to the hip. they are first created, then put together by precision machines. it's definitely more costly to make one mf, than to make one droid. that's why the droids battle pack has more droids than the clones bp has clones. but yeah...droids are still considered mfs though they are cheaper mfs. :-P same goes for skellies and aliens. in fact, i think aliens are the cheapest of them all. 2 parts. all injection molded. a minifig in comparison has a head, a torso, 2 arms, 2 hands, hip, 2 legs. 9 parts, and that's without accessories.

exactly. buy lego during clearance. :-D it's a risk that some of the hot sets will not last until clearance sale but that's a risk you have to take. you can always buy it again from scalpers later when you got a real job. "get the most for your money" is a nice little financial mgmt lesson that will be useful later in life too! edit: i wanted to write some tips i used/discovered personally for shopping cheap lego, but i felt it became more like a brag rant and i was digressing so i deleted. :-P black friday is coming up. traditionally, target will have a $99 set on sale for $50. after BF, it may drop to $25 (or 75%). best to just buy it on BF, then price match if it dropped to $25 within a month. :-P

i am pretty sure in the US only TRU carries the gas station. Never see it in a walmart or target. lego stores yes...but then they carry everything except promo poly bags.

that would be a great moc indeed, chuck! but knowing TLC, i'm sure they will spend a new mold making license chars. just look at HP. it doesn't sell, yet each year they come up with new molds just for that theme. that mermaid mold. the shark head. at least this year's is somewhat useful: dolores' hairpiece.

i would just buy the x-large bley plate for $9.99 and moc my own roads using tile pieces. :-P more versatile and you can use it for space (create your own mounts using slope bricks), castle or city (create your own street lines using tiles). :-P

it's not hard to guess which one is hinckley's. i have seen enough of hinckley's mocs to be able to spot his signature in almost every one. :-P but i'm kinda bummed out that sinner is "letting" him win this one after having won the previous two smackdowns. :-P it's not a smackdown if you "let" the opponent win you know. :-P

if only lego expanded on modulex and maybe have modulex mfs. :-P imagine building at a micro scale level rather than mf scale! :-P if given a choice, i would like to collect modulex. :-P

wow...you decaled two of them silver euroarmors? i think they came out nicely though i can see where your fingers were less than steady (a slight tear in both decals (the right one is more noticeable) and the left MF's decal is slightly higher than the right's). :-P did you apply a layer of coating on the decal? i like how it came out. it's *y* *y* from me. i don't like the black armors. too dark. i prefer grey or dark grey for armor. :-P the blue helmet seems to be darker than normal but not quite dark blue. or is that just photoshop. :-P i'm not sure... maybe i'm not use to lower lighting. :-P
