it's hanukkah. christmas, kwanza and hannukah. christians, africans (some ethnic tradition/religion), and jewish celebrate the holiest of days around the same time. actually there are a lot more religion/race that celebrate that occasion. but i think that term (started as christmekah, or hannumas, then gradually went to christkwanzakah or whatever) and is quite popularly used in ny, mainly because of the dominant communities here: africans, jewish, and catholics (hispanics, irish, italians)...

yeah, i guess humans are easy. i don't have any lego blue cape though, just the dark blue. guess i'll cheat and make my own lego blue cape. :-P same with a bley cape for the wizard. next will try the undeads...since we just had a new lego theme. :-P orcs third and finally the night elves. :-P was thinking of how i can make the mortar team. one of them is larger than the other. hmm, guess will cross that bridge when i get there.

alright...i feel bad "misleading" some of you so here's one of mine. i was trying to create warcraft 3 heroes and units beginning with humans. here's the original image: the fourth person is supposedly arthas. :-P all from available lego parts. no custom. alright, it's not good so any comment? which part do i need to change or would you substitute to make the moc better?

i just got back from work. but yeah, like SW4J said, it's not my moc. :-P just wanted to show what others can come up with, with "useless" parts. maybe i should put a disclaimer in my sig that nothing i link is mine unless i truly said so. :-P

you're welcome. and i think uv light can penetrate. it's uv that causes the fading, not the other spectrum of light. one of the reason i hid my lego in the basement. :-P

wow...look at this moc of the dwarf's mine by rebelrock. he posted in classic-castle. a beauty ain't it? *wub* though if i were to change it, i would have the blacksmith located on top of the hill. all that detail... *wub* the smelter for the steel forging, the dwarf lady adds a homey touch to the hill cottage, the dwarf farmer selling exoforce hairpiece cabbage and carrots, the lazy mountainking laying on top of the hill, the orcs troll warriors scaling the little tower (whatever for is beyond me... :-| there's nothing on top, remember? :-P) Edit Bonaparte: Split off from the Dwarves' Mine Review because this one really deserves a thread of its own.

hi...i haven't really thought of chrome plating my lego mf accessories or even lego mf, but seeing how brickforge did so well with the gold chrome c3p0 and a few other matte gold/silver helmets i have seen on brickshelf, i was wondering if anyone has any experience with chroming lego parts and how it's done? i've been thinking of revitalizing some of my old castle helmets that have yellowed.

well, i kinda hate this set coz i was expecting 2 gold visors but instead there was only 1. :-/ :-P

i've been thinking of a competition. a hot air balloon contest. who can come up with the craziest hot air balloon design! :-P but then i realized there're too many contests already, which many of you are thinking it but not saying it. ;-)

i thought this was a pretty good moc, reusing what was previously "useless" <insert that tiresome argument> airplane parts. was thinking of train and town as i wanted to show what else we can make of them, but since it's more steampunk/helium balloon type thingy, maybe in history and adventure? tried the LU brick technic. didn't work too well. if you put the light at the back, it will cast a shadow. if you put another at the front, it will cast a shadow to the back. there's shadow all over no matter if you use one or more light source (bricks). guess your best bet is to use a direct source from the top. oh well... :-$ :-/

nice tower. one of the best i have seen. but why does the base has to be so thick though?

i have 1 of each set except for the double catapult and about 20 chess sets that i got during sale.

this brick. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=54604 BL listed 10 sets that have them. see if you can still get one of them. the general concensus is that supernova is the best among them. you can still get it from TRU. also, this fiber optic cable should do the trick in channeling the light (make sure to wrap it in black cloth though, so the light doesn't seep from the sides) to the knight's torso. edit: i have the skeleton tower set and the LU brick. I'll try it tonight in my basement to see if i can get a good aura effect. :-P
