Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
Aethersprite replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
The belt alone probably adds about 20 pieces to the set - really hoping that Lego makes it final. Can't wait for Toy Fair. -
That quick? I've been calling Bricksworld the past week, but they keep telling me the sets have yet to arrive. I'll make a call to Toyshunt tomorrow! Are you going down?
-
Agreed, the L beams really ruin the flow of the set. Hopefully they're easy to mod.

Hoping that Worriz will use the Savage Planet claws for fingers rather than Exo Force robot arms, to differentiate him from Laval and Gorzan, Laval moreso. -
Note that the person who reported that probably has little knowledge on HF - "I'm not an expert" - so turquoise is probably just how he describes it, not the real colour. Trans-blue is probably it.
-
When will the Nuremberg one be? Hopefully we'll get some videos at that one, as we have had a few times before.
-
As usual, constraction figures get the short end of the stick in Brickset's UK Toy Fair report, with the Chima ones being written off as "terrible" and not even mention of the HF figures. Sigh. Fingers crossed for some descriptions to pop up in the next few days, particularly the Chima ones.

Guess we both misunderstood each other - we were referring to different things! I'm glad Cragger has a new mold blade, though.

If you continue watching to the Marketing Campaign section, you'll notice that they use bags as well - with the finalised (earlier pictures we saw) pictures on them. -
Could you provide a link to that trailer? But no, I still think it's different. The tip of the blade of Cragger's is way sharper than Frost Beast's. I think that either 1) it's a complete new mold, or 2) it's the new sword piece in trans blue that Stormer and Laval have, but covered in ice only on the episode. Stormer's sword has a similar function in the show.
-
Nope it isn't, it's a complete new mold. It may have spikes and is a blade, but it's much sleeker than Cragger's, plus it lacks the crocodile motif. Frost Beast was "meh" for me at first, but now he's a must get. Interesting trailer, I'll take a look at the others when I get home from work. Thanks once again Vinyl, for the screenshots!

I think that's expected, with Dragon Bolt the same price point as Furno XL and Stormer XL, and Jet Rocka the same price point as Speeda Demon.

No spoilers please, keep that to the show thread! Have yet to see the episode, hope it's uploaded on YouTube soon. -
Hope past uploaders of Ninjago episodes will have the Chima special up on YouTube soon enough!

If you guys take a look at the summer prelims for the Chima sets (don't have a link, but they're out there), you'll notice this small wolf glider in Worriz' Combat Tank. It uses what appears to be new sword pieces as wings, with silver blades and a dark red hilt, which look to be new. I think it's safe to presume Worriz will use these new blades as weapons. -
...What is this I don't even. To be completely honest, I like it. Unfortunately, I like it better than most video reviews on Youtube. Not as a review, but as entertainment... It was so stupid and ridiculous, it was funny. It's creative, at least. *insert Jackie Chan mindblown meme here*
-
Great review, beautiful pictures. IMO this is the weakest set this wave, the only thing I like about it is its face.
-
They come out in Singapore in February! Oh, the wait. At least it gives me time to think of the mods I'll be making to the sets when I get them.
-
I'd like to see that - while the current team doesn't feel stale for me yet, it would be refreshing to see a new team. I really liked how Bionicle revolved around the 3 teams of Nuva-Metru-Inika, it was a really good mix of new and old.

Presumably, since none of the summer HF sets have them. It's a toss-up between Worriz and Razar, but I assume Razar will use purple shells as his secondary colour, hopefully. -
He's actually one of my favourite HF sets of all time - I plan to do some small mods to him to bulk up his lower torso and fix the floppiness of his arms (that LegoJang mentioned in his video review), then he'd be almost perfect!
-
Actually, if I had a chance to look at a retailer's catalogue, I'd go straight for the Chima Ultrabuilds. We already have an idea how the HF summer lineup will look like, but have no clue on how the Chima Ultrabuilds are.
-
I liked the Toa Inika's mouths because they had proper shape (read: "lips", I'll explain more in a bit) which gave them personality. Bulk's and Breez's are basically, oh, let's just cut a hole in the shape of a mouth. I probably wouldn't dislike it as much as I do right now if they'd given the mouths additional contours around it, to make it look less lazy and just cut out. I've realized that, thanks for the info still though. EDIT: On a side note, made a trip to a local toy store today to ask whether the new Brain Attack sets had arrived. The store retailer took out his retail catalog to check, and I caught a glimpse of the summer prelims! I asked if I could get a better look at them but unfortunately I got a negative reply. It really kills me knowing the (clearer) pics were right there in front of me, I wanted a closer look at Aquagon and Frost Beast's lower half.

10-13 Feb, to be precise. I agree with Shakar, Laval and Cragger look amazing, and are hopefully indicative of the other 4 sets. Really looking forward to seeing pics. -
Your idea for fixing Bruizer's back is sheer brilliance, I'm tempted to get Bruizer now just to try that.
